- I decided to get back in to desktop gaming and found this Skytech Nebula on Amazon for $849. I looked into the specs the best i could and found it to be a good deal. The trouble I ran in to was the reviews i found about skytech although mostly positive were never on this exact configuration. Also they never showed any of the actual hardware in the builds. So i decided to give a video a shot. If you like it i will do more.
Just bought one and it coming soon very excited.
Wishing you low temps and high fps!
thanks for the vid man! really appreciate it
Welcome
You’ve saved me, just bought a similar skytech one as my first and was so confused on why the case fans wouldn’t work. This is the only video to tell me that the case fans weren’t plugged up
Glad to help
just bought the 3050 version on amazon and i was really wondering about the components and how it all looks. Thank you so much!!
Hope you enjoy it!
Just ordered the same one, have you received yours yet?
@@sylls Yes! i got it a few days after that comment. It had problems booting up but i consulted the website and the discord and they helped me to fix it :) been running beautifully for a while now and have had no problems. Hope you enjoy your rig!
@@pimentomori259 oh sweet, glad you’re enjoying it, hope I don’t have any problems but I know a good amount relating to this pc stuff so I hope I’ll be fine haha
Should of went with this one
thank you so much dude god bless you!
Glad to help
just ordered it ... CANT WAIT
Enjoy it, I am! Gameplay footage coming tomorrow hopefully. I've been busy at work. Been rough finding the timer to record and edit the footage.
Yours arrive yet?
@@Theperson3708 no it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday
@@Theperson3708 if your thinking about getting it … when I get mine I will be making a unboxing and play test videos on my channel… so you can see
@@Theperson3708 videos up if you want to… not the best but it’s ok and performance video is coming soon hopefully 🤞
Thanks for showing the fan comnections Have the exact Nebula and had the power supply blow. Disconnected qll the wires so I could test the parts to see if the PSU took 9ut anything else. Forgot where the fan controller wires went and the text on the board was just too small to read.
ONE Question did your fan wires come hot glued to the board as well?
Glad to help, yes hot glue was used multiple spots on the MB
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh excellent! Once again thanks for your help m8.
Mine arrives tomorow!
thank you so much man
Your welcome!
i got the skytech chronos 2 on newegg as part of the cybermonday deals. paid about the same you did but i got a i5 12400k in mine. rest of the parts are same as yours just different brands. my cooler on the cpu is a bit smaller. Thus far I am liking it. My mouse is the same as yours and yes its a little jank. but i needed a new one so its working for now. I actually like the keyboard with the exception of the backspace button. way to small lol. Little worried about the power supply but should be fine if no overclocking is done imo.
Good luck with it.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bhmy mouse broke. FYI. The left button was making multiple clicks with one press. No biggie I had a replacement.
Thanks i will order it now
Hope you like it!
Awesome video man, thank you for posting this! I was looking at this exact PC on Amazon and was a little hesitant to buy it, but this put me at ease.
Great PC I'm super happy. I did get a great deal on a 4070 super so upgrade video coming soon
I decided to get back into pc gaming 3 months ago and I went with a Stgaubron i7-10700kf with a rx6600 and I kept my budget below $700 and picked mine up for $679. With these budget pre built ps’s your going to be behind the curve on hardware, mine had mixed reviews and I think most of the bad reviews on these is people not understanding what they are buying. I literally watch the Amazon driver push my new pc out of the delivery van and the box hit the pavement and I yelled wtf that’s a pc in there. Mine is running all the games I play at 1440 a foe I ply at 1080 which is fine. I used to be hardcore gamer and built 3 of my own pc’s back in the day I didn’t think I was going to make my $700 mark till I found the one I did. I like that people post a video of their pc as it gives those shopping for one an idea of what they get for their money or at least what quality does that brand put out. Biggest suggestion I would put out to anyone is check and make sure everything is plugged up, I opened mine and reseated the gpu and found a sata cable that needed pushed in a bit, I don’t blame the manufacturer I blame the shipper which was Amazon.
Cool
I actually got the same exact parts as you right down to the motherboard I got a different mouse that was the only thing I got different from this review and let me tell you after I parted everything out by price you didn't even pay for labor in fact this prebuild is one of the craziest steals I've ever seen I wonder if the other skytech pre-builds are like this as well
Agreed even a few months later it is still a great deal
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bhyeah the only reason I actually bought this was they were doing a 5-month plan no credit check $170 a month after paying all the taxes on the first payment i couldn't pass up on it since I got no credit lol but it's almost paid off and have 0 regrets. My windows 11 did get corrupted and had to reinstall windows and do a bunch of trial and error on getting the right things installed. But other than that great PC
Did it include with a power supply?
Yes it does
What motherboard is this pc
It's really good for first time pc user
Yeah it is
Does it come with built in wifi how do u connect the pc to the wifi?
i just bought one from amazon and its on its way. Question, how long did it take for shipping and delivery?
Just a few days for me back in Oct or Nov
Got mine coming this weekend! Btw, do u happen to know how long the power cord is?
I will measure it tonight when I get home
It's a little over 3 feet about 3'4"
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh ok cool thanks! i hope that'll be long enough. My desk is i think between 3 or 4ft from a socket
Hey! are you sure this PC was on sale when you purchased on amazon? Or is 849 base price? if its not how much was it originally priced?
Normal price was 849 I paid 849
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh Ok cool, i was worried it was 949 since on amazon it is. Realized its out of stock and amazon just doesn’t say it
I just ordered my 4060 version im so excited very first pc so i hope it all works for me
I wish you good luck and lots of enjoyment
How’s it running ?
@@twilltv been great! gameplay footage is up
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bhwhat hdmi are you using, I just ordered a 4060 as well from Amazon
@@Kalanifromda808 unsure what you mean, but if you're talking about the HDMI cable. The monitor came with one. I have not upgraded it yet. Seems to work fine.
Do you need the antennas for Wi-Fi or can it connect by itself
Comes with them
how long did it take to ship , i ordered mine on the 12 of dec and still haven’t came i need patience
I bought mine from Amazon. Ordered Oct 29th, delivered Nov 2.
Is the skytech nebula perfect for a first time gaming pc owner with a $1500 budget. Not just looking to get the best bang for your buck but to also get a good experience going into pc gaming
Yes
@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh Thanks for the honesty 💯 Definitely will get this PC as a first timer ☺️🙏🏾
Can you please show how to set up the components I just got it and don’t know what I’m doing
I'll try and help what exactly are you having trouble with?
What do u mean the cooler fans doesn’t sync with the case fans?
There are RGB controls on the case near the power button. These can be used to change the fans color and effect settings, but the buttons cannot control the CPU cooler fan. So if you want to sync up all the fans you can't use the buttons. FYI the controls in Windows or bios do control all the fans and can sync them. Only an issue with the buttons on the case. Not a big deal for me I set them static red in the bios and uninstalled RGBfusion
Hello, I have a question, is there a way to increase the fps? Because I only get 60 fps and it doesn't increase, could it be the monitor or do I need to configure something?
You may have an fps cap set somewhere. Check the game settings if you can change it there. Some games are capped at 60 fps (I think elden ring is an example)
How many hertz is your monitor capable of?
is there usbs in the back or just all on the top?
Yes I'm unsure how many but I run the video past the rear I/O take a look
i’m going to buy the one on amazon with the 3050 because i was looking to upgrade my parts for my current pc and it would be around the price of the nebula and i already have a 3060 so i was just gonna buy the pc and take out the ram and 3050 and put in my parts
Sounds cool good luck
Does it have a slot to enter a disc for, I have a system that can migrate everything on the PC but I need there to be a place for a disc, if not I can just find another way
Do you mean CD-ROM? No it does not have one.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh Ok thanks for letting me know
Have you had any fan issues since youve had it? Yesterday i realized randomly my top fan is no longer working. Any suggestions/advice?
Send it back
@@hydraffn7824 im trying to avoid doing that. I use it daily and waited about 2-3 weeks to get it
I would double check the plugs, make sure none came loose. Then try customer service. Fans should be fairly easy to fix or change if needed. You still have the front back and cooler fans running, I doubt it will get that hot.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh thank you for your advice. I was concerned if i couldnt fix it if it would cause issues cause i really dont want to send it back. Do you have any suggestions on cords to check? I referenced the one you mentioned in the video and that one is indeed plugged in. Im not very tech savy
I would start at the fans that don't work. Look for wires coming out of non working fans and follow them to either the mother board or RGB controller and check any connections/plugs you find. If you can't find anything I would call or use the link on the desktop to chat with skytech customer service.
Hi I’m considering getting this pc and I’m wondering what the motherboard is for this as in want to upgrade down the line
This is the motherboard in mine but no guarantee all the nebula will come with same hardware gigabyte B660M DS3H AX DDR4
Ok, thanks for the info@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
So you don’t have to order any power cord or Ethernet cord?
It did not come with an Ethernet cable. You will need one to connect your router or modem
was there anything else that was unplugged or was it just the fans?
Just the fans 1 plug and good to go
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh is the pc loud? it sounded loud on the video
@@toxictrix108 I don't find it loud, but I don't have another PC to compare it to. It's about the same as my laptop
what is the extra cable for what can i use it for ?
The sata cables? They are for using sata drives (older tech) I believe. I don't use it though
I wanna order one but for some reason on Amazon it says it wont ship to my address lol...
Idk why
That sucks
is fan noise is very loud right out of box and while using the computer?
I don't have a lot to compare but it's quieter than my laptop was
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh so when you first turn on the computer the case fan were not in full rpm?
When you first turn on they come on high rpm for a second then slow. The fans speed up and down during boot until Windows is up then they quite down unless under load.
Does it come with every cable necessary for the pc
It come with everything for the tower. But no monitor cables are included
You think this do good for games like Hunt showdown and rust?
I don't play either but scum runs well. And squad runs well (using dx11) those are the closest titles I can think of
well thats good to know i am trying upgrade from a 3060 laptop@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
How many slots does the motherboard have??
I believe 3
What’s the highest refresh rate it can handle?
Hmmm unsure what your asking. I have a 165hz monitor. I have had games in the mid to upper 200 fps with settings on low. I don't like it though I prefer 100-150 fps with nice graphics.
What are the measurements of this PC? Length width and height? Im finding different answers online which is confusing
I'll measure it tonight when I get home from work.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh thank you that would be a huge help. Mine is on the way and i need to order a stand for it but keep finding different measurements online!
The case measures 18.5 inches tall. 16 inches deep and 9.25 inches wide.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh thank you so much man much appreciated!!
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh on the skytech website it says the nebula height is 16 and depth is 19. You dont have these mixed up correct? I trust you more over the website
I have the question about this pc does thos include with a power supply?
Yes it does

Does anyone know what processor I can buy to upgrade the current processor?
You can put up to a 14th gen i9 in this machine.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh ok what would you recommend upgrading?
I don't think I would upgrade at this time. Maybe down the road I would think about a 14th Gen i7. I don't think the i7 has the same issues on this MB like the i9 does. The i9 I believe gets throttled a bit by this MB. Not 100% sure though so double check before you make changes.
Is it loud when playing?
I don't find it terribly loud. My laptop is about as loud
Are you able to change the rgb
Yes you can, multiple ways. I've settled on setting it in bios and uninstalled all programs.
hello I would like to know how much hard drive can I add for more memory and space?
You can add another m.2, you can add multiple internal sata hdd if you wanted. I use a 4 tb external drive that has most of my steam games on it.
how many external exactly?@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
I don't know the exact specs of USB for how many things you can plug in. But you could theoretically add as many USB drives as you want. You can easily add some internal data drives as well I think 4
ok thank, have a nice day@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
i try to install a external drive toshiba inside and it dont work, can you help me?
Unsure what you are trying to do. I plugged my USB external in the USB 3.0 on the back of the Pc works great
can i try to connect my external drive inside?
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
I don't know I'm sorry. I would think of there is an internal USB port you could. Or some type of adapter. I believe there are additional USB headers on the MB maybe use one of those and put a USB header on it?
Does this come with dvi cable
No the cables came with the monitor
What are all the ports connected to the gpu
The only plug to the GPU is the power from the power supply.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh no like what ports to plug in like monitor
hey does it have bluetooth?
Yes it does
Awesome video! Does anyone know how much fps this can run in Fortnite, on each setting? Or where to find this information? I am looking for one that can run Fortnite at a consistent 240 fps on decent settings.
Fortnite ran great, no issues. I did a fortnite video.
You are a legend, thank you. For the fortnite video, do you know what the Nvidia recommended settings are? Are they just the highest settings? @@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
They weren't quite the highest but they were up there. Also I didn't think lower settings helped much I think it was beginning to get CPU limited in the mid 200 fps
I think the low settings made a difference because the FPS went up. How much FPS would you say is the average on low settings? Like 240? Also, what does CPU limited mean?@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh
At a certain point lowering the settings is no longer beneficial because the CPU is doing all it can. It has no more to offer. So lowering settings or resolution further gives no gains in performance
Hey man god bless you today and by any chance is the bottom of the box for power supply
Thank you appreciated. I'm not sure what your asking. The power supply is in the bottom (basement) off the case. Hope that answers your question.
Can i take out the supply and add a new one?
@@Cupidzsway sure if you need a bigger one
What are the dimensions?
There are measurements I took for another person in the comments.
Would it be fine with 1440p?
Unfortunately I don't have a 1440p to test for you.
its fine I play gta and r6 on high settings (mix of ultra and high) at over 100 fps
Hey can i connect 3 acer monitors to this pc? Or no
I guess it would depend on what inputs the monitors have I believe there are 1 HDMI and 3 dp outputs. They will all work but depending on what you're doing on them performance may suffer.
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh sorry for asking so many questions i sont really have so much knowledge on like pcs and stuff do you mind if i send like the monitors im looking it and telling me if they will work? If not its all good ty
If they are modern monitors they almost definitely will work. But don't expect to play a game 3 screens wide or multiple games at once. For productivity you will be ok but not gaming
@@DaveDoesVideos-hw3bh alright and dp is displayport right?
Yes
VR-Ready or not?
I don't use PC vr but according to GeForce experience I am vr ready
Yes will do vr with ease
is that the pc that was very loud?? is that normal?
its 50 bucks cheaper and has ddr5
I don't notice it being very loud. Seems normal to me. I do have the fans turned up a bit
