So the show will be in German, shoot in Germany, played by German actors but all the characters will have English names and somehow also set in England? That’s hella confusion in my opinion. Why not make it a full German show considering it already is.

I'm from Germany and I don't know why, but most love storys from German authors with a highschool/university setting are playing in the USA (or Great Britain).

The story might be a cliche, but the performances and making made it worth watching.

I am so beyond confused. They're speaking in German, and their mouths are clearly mouthing German (I speak German), but everything is also clearly dubbed, and all of the in-scene writing is in English and the video has baked-in English subtitles. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

The book basically poses maxton hall as a british school. They are in london and everything and people have british english names and the dudes company is in london. But everyone and everything is german cause its a german book. I guess they didnt change that here which is gonna be hella weird and i already see it. The actors are speaking pure german then we get the insertion of their names like “Ruby Bell” and “James Beaufort” said in a different accent (english) because its in english. Its hella weird. Its either they should have gone full steam ahead with the german and changed names and location to german stuff or full steam ahead with the English and changed the language.
Because it's the same in the books. Mona Kasten did it this way.
yeah I didn't like the audio at all, not cuz of the language cuz i can listen to it and read English sus but cuz its seems its even dubbed in it's original language

lmao i think romance books set in england are more marketable in germany because germans /know/ this type of thing would not happen here, but maybe it /could/ in another country - which means lots of german writers now write books in german that are set in england or the us, probably on request of the publishers

Then wait until the series end xD. It gets wilder. As far as i know, the first season is the complete first book. We have three books, so i guess we will get 3 seasons, if we're lucky.

So only some seconds in until there's the first sexist dogwhistle by the main protagonist rolling its eyes at a pretty girl in his bed which is also the sister of one of his friends. Does his redemption arc include him being thrown under a bus? German productions are really on a different level when it comes to lazy sexist writing
Wow, who cares, what happened to shows like Goliath or any of those Suspiria, To Old To Die Young i like the German accent but still this trash, what do they have writing for them? Jesus film has went way down hill, looks like its becoming drop kick like Netflix
