Not really, because on Wii U they reverse engineered its processors (and the DS got reverse engineered too) for it to run. Talking about the official emulator btw, they reverse engineered it for it to run.
There’s an accessory that lets you rotate the switch so it’s vertical with the joy cons on the side - I think using that would be the only way to make it work
I think the reason there are no DS games on Switch Online is that the DS has a touch screen, and the Switch's touchscreen can only be used when the console is not connected to a TV. On the Wii U, you could use the touchscreen while still being connected to a TV. (I don't think it's likely Nintendo will implement using a joystickas the touch cursor) Also, the Switch does not have a microphone like the Wii U and 3DS did, so it could be a problem if the game requires it.
It's no secret there that good hell I wouldn't be surprised if they start running 3DS game is on there if they did though just imagine having a better ocarina of Time for 3DS absolute priceless
Honestly Nintendo could port DS games if they were selective with which titles they bring over. New Super Mario Bros. as you showed could easily make it over, Pokémon could easily make it over (though those games wouldn’t likely come over for different reasons). Really only microphone heavy games couldn’t theoretically make it over so sadly no Nintendogs or Zelda Spirit Tracks, every other game would likely just be less than ideal depending on the screen setup.
Binbok slim, though Nyxi also sells these. If you’re looking for a slightly bigger one that feels like a controller the Nyxi hyperion is great. It’s a split pad pro but less sh*tty because it actually has wireless, rumble and motion controls
There’s a weird accessory that I bought that has almost no use, called the FlipGrip. It basically lets you attach a Joycon to the top and bottom of the switch so you can hold it vertically. If Nintendo does decide to give us DS games, that would be absolutely perfect.
I assume they are going to add it in a few years, or just add it to their newest console cause the DS might now have all the capability for the Switch to handle
Reasons why ds games arent on switch or wii u games as much either. Its because of the touch pad and controls. Altho dont get me wrong, i want ds to come to switch badly mainly because some ds games are amazing like one of my favs of all time is bowser inside story. I want it badly on the switch. But sadly i know why they dont bring it to the switch soon is because touch pad wont work in dock/tv mode. Some games required sound like talking to it or blowing into it which is weird then also when some games as it to turn it sideways. So they would have to recreate it for the switch.
Because android has touch screen how you can't run all the DS games alot of them required the second screen to play so how's that going to work on switch unless switch has touch screen
Modding a switch oled would be hella expensive, you'd be better off catching a steam deck on sale, it can run more Nintendo games than the switch can and even it's own games
@@DreamerSouls sTeAM dECk hell no the steam deck is uncomfortable as hell even then there's barely any sales for it where i'm from so i'm better off with a wii u which is what i'm planning
Maybe to make it work on tv Nintendo could use the right analog stick as a little cursor on the bottom screen, and to click on that screen you click the analog stick
It's not that it cannot run them. It's more on how to play them without having to use a ridiculous control method. Especially with many DS games only using the touch screen, so those types of games are already impossible to play on TV Mode.
The problem with emulating ds has never been performance, the issue is that the hardware is so specific that anything without the same setup is a compromised experience
For some games you need a mic, like for bowsers inside story and a dora game. Also some games would be hard to play without a stylus. I don't understand how on the n64 emulator they made the triangle buttons the freaking right analog stick instead of the dpad
Only problem with this is that it’s not easy to homebrew the switch. You have to open it up and resodder some things I also think you have to add something
Of course DS games would run fine on Switch, they ran perfectly on Wii U

@@LennyQUMFIF idk why you're acting like the DS is tough to run, it's literally one of the easiest systems to emulate
"this runs fine!"
Audio of the game fighting for its life
Because it’s on an unofficial version of the switch’s OS. If Nintendo made a first party version it would be leagues better.
@@tankissed Nah, it's more than likely the emulator. Not the OS or hardware or any of that.
If you overclock and have the right settings in the emulator, it runs perfect. Mine has no lag or audio problems
Reminds me of dolphin
Audio latency needs to be turned down a bit
‘It runs fine’
*the audio trying not to explode*
The flip grip would be a great way to play vertically.
The Snes joy cons?
"runs so good"
the audio: hol up, wait a minute
"It runs fine" as horrendous audio plays
Nintendo probably banging his door rn
well it’s slightly slow, but it’s fine and very usable

why not make a switch version then

Why not with Pokemon though?
This is literally the only way nintendo could add ds for switch online
I didn’t even know you could mod a wii using the internet channel. That’s really cool
Bro i miss those controllers
Fell down the stairs and broke them
Damn, are you good after that?
@@B3nCastle probably not

Them two coins has me itching lol
Try Kirby mouse attack/squeak squad
Test Citra (or lime) on Ubuntu 22.04 on switch
It may have something to do with most ds games requireing you to use the touch screen
Please play super mario 64 ds Please 🙏
Sound is broken , I never play with that noisy sound
Bro what are those joycons. those are dope. I need em. What are they?
Splitpad pro

Of course DS games would run fine on Switch! i can literaly emulate wii amost flawlessley using l4t ubuntu and dolphin. DS should be no prob
Would be cool if u could flip the screen and have it way bigger
I wish you could move the bottom screen farther to the side since it isn’t always as important
Try Sonic Rush! It was (and still is) my fav DS game
Turning it on its side is brilliant.
Its the screen most likely they dont know how they would fit the second screen or like which screen size would look good.
Try some 3d da games
Of course they run great, DS games dont require too much power to run
Omg I can finally play the original Bakugan game on the switch
I had a homebrew switch a few years back. Getting one ina couple days again. So hyped
The piracy machine 50,000,000
We already know that the switch could run ds games fine. Even on Android could run DS games pretty smooth without choppy audio
Drastic will give you a better performance than melon
DraStic is the best DS emulator besides the Wii U
I feel like they are gonna add them but just like the n64 and gameboy advance games
Probably because some games are really hard to play with just a controller on the Tv docked, they didn’t provide a stylus, etc.
ok let me request: GTA Chinatown Wars or Need For Speed Nitro, they from my childhood
At first I thought that was a steam deck with those joy cons
For the true test, the Sonic rush games
Need a case to “dock” the joycons in portrait.
YOU MIGHT AS WELL BRING NOSTALGIA BACK, NINTENDO!!!
Mom: hunny why are there ninjas outside our lawn and. Wait? Do they have the Nintendo logo on there shoulders?
Play super princess peach game
Its like a meme more than something else , you why...........the audio!!!!!
You can get them on the Wii U without modding but… this is just cooler
Now try Pokémon White 2, the biggest and likely most graphically intensive DS game
Nintendo not giving fans what they want is costing them. NOW ppl are gonna mod/emulate EVERYTHING
