Thanks for joining me for more guitar restoration videos! I use the gouge technique to repair a damaged rosewood fretboard.

I have always used rosewood dust in most cases to fill divots. After watching this I will do it this way henceforth. Excellent job. Excellent content. Excellent pace. Yours has become my favorite luthier's channel.

I have a tiny dent on a fret board and this makes it look like a spec of dust👍👍👍

Mike is the best! I've got the Tech Deck too, and his fretting kit with the scrub block for my setup business. My fret jobs have never been better. Best investment ever. Great job!

I'm always forgetting the truss rod cover, and the trem springs cover. They usually get remembered at the last minute, but not always!

Gretsch guitars were made in Brooklyn until the Baldwin take over in the late 60s. Then Arkansas I think until reborn with overseas construction.
Rhode Island was Guild guitars back in the day.

Guild was also in NJ; Hoboken, I think.

@vayabroder729 Guild started out on Pearl Street (early fifties) in lower Manhattan before moving to Hoboken NJ - Rhode Island was much later.

Would it not be more economical to replace the fretboard?

This is most probably Brazilian rosewood; irreplaceable at this point.
