Why did you replace the bridge?
It had a piece fretwire for a saddle and a big crack
What a cool guitar! Nice work!👍🎸
Thanks a lot!
Well done. Performing a neck reset to my 314CE. Taylor Customer Support: superb! Notable: 28 in lb torque for the heel bolts and "Good-n-tight" for the extension bolt. Sometimes, per Taylor, that torque will restore the desired neck angle with the factory-installed shim pair. Love the engineering-smarts of the NT Neck design. Simple, elegant, and brilliant. Thanks again for this post!
Great to hear!
Oh my gorgeous. Im trying to learn this any good place to find info?

Wow! Sounds fantastic on my pro headphones! Very nice, Mr. Scott!! You are a Miracle Worker... just like your name's sake! 🖖😁
Thanks again!
I'm worried that with no overcompensation in the neck set, the neck will settle with a too high action,
You deserve a Purple Heart for this job. Body looks deeper than a dreadnought.
Yes, everything is fine and interesting. But why is the maximum permissible string height at the 6th at the exit? It is not clear. Since over time this distance may increase even more. 7/64 "or almost 2.8 millimeters at the 6th: It will be too much.
You abilities have increased exponentially over the last two years.
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Bravo! good save on that neck joint! I use cold fish glue a lot but I may look into hot hide glue in my shop as well. thanks great job!
Thanks for watching Doug!
Wow, what a beautiful guitar! I love those inlays. If your customer ends up using it on stage somewhere, people will look. Nice job Scott!!
Right on!
I’m Bob and I Love watching you…….you have some cool techniques…… thanks for posting….. anyway back in the day…..in 1979 I befriended an owner of a music store in Bakersfield, California……. (FRONT PORCH MUSIC) that’s where I met Bill Gruggett……..Bill worked for Semie Moseley……. Semie’s the owner……cofounder of Mosrite guitars…..whom I met in 1980?…….anyway Bill Gruggett was repairing guitars…….on Sundays I would go to his house and worked for free…….boy did I learn a lot from Bill……..Bill passed away in 2012 Oct. 7…… there’s a good article on Bill Gruggett on “Vintage Guitar Magazine”…… Anyway Stay Frosty……..
Thank You Bob!
Cool project. Looks like fun.
Fantastic work, Scott. 👍😎🤩🥂
Thank you! Cheers!
What are the jacks you are using for inside the guitar?
Axe jacks and & StewMac scissor jack
Nice work Scott Isopropyl alcohol will melt hot glue. Obviously got be careful not to get on the finish ❤from England
Fantastic job! I love the way this came out.
Thank you! Cheers!
Good job,, good looking guitar..
A great, and very useful vid. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Guild guitars soundGOOD
What type of super glue did you use?
Glu+boost fill ‘n’ finish ultra thin
When I was in DC and they proved hoe George Washington chopped down that cherry Les Paul Junior, I was like . . . maybe dome of the facts are not all there but it must have been great anyways. He prolly used Glu-Boost.
Nice video and great tips. I never would have thought to use Shellac on a repair like this. I would have tried Glue Boost or lacquer and spent days trying to make it look new.
Thanks David! Happy loothing 😀
Cool looking guild 👍
Great job, Scotty!
Thanks for watching!
Looks strangely like there is a rosette under the finish?
El Cajon San Diego??? That’s Beat Farmers territory!!! I could just see Country Dick Montana buying that glorious sparkled guit-fiddle! I’m a happy boy!
Awesome job, even though this video was lacking the acceleratorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Sorry!
Nice work! I remember seeing new Guild D25 guitars in the shops in the past, they were nice sounding bargain priced USA built guitars. The ones I came across were the mahogany models which were labelled “D25M”.
Had to research this to see if it was really a factory finish, sure enough it was. Apparently rare and only '82. And on some Guild forums, deemed quite ugly. To each his own.
Come back soon for more rarities 😉
Interesting too that this finish was applied over an existing rosette, which you can see under the paint.
@@gryfandjane That's what made me wonder if it was a refinish or factory.
Like the Gibson OP 25. Basicly J 45 with a synthetic back kinda like an Ovation. They only made 500 of them in 90 and 91. Great guitar sounded much better than any Ovation l ever heard.
That is one pimp acoustic guitar. I'd play it.
Fuckin’ A 😁
Damn you Scott you put this video up right as I'm leaving for work at least I got something to look forward to watching when I get off work.... Good day sir

Not sure how many times I can tell you you’re the best at this stuff I’ve ever seen. Just a master. Great job.
Wow, thanks!
Nice job Scott. Some great camera angles too ! Cheers. MMcC
Many thanks!
That was a magnificent repair, it’s tough when things are fractured like that one👍
Thanks 👍
I was dealing with exact the same trouble. I understand from your point of view working on the wood side to get the space filled. How about a thin wrap of sheet copper around the bushing side? Or am I cursing in the church now? (it's a hack I used to practice when I worked as a bicycle mechanic ; ))
Just got my x3 mini pro and the E string has a 40% lower volume than all the rest when plugged in. I've reached out to Enya 5 times and gotten nothing from customer service. Based on that I don't recommend this guitar. I like it overall but with useless customer service it's not a winner.
maybe this will get you some subscribers you should be over 100k great content thank you
Wow, thanks!
Just to piggyback off @harrisvoter great content and i hope you start getting more subscribers, likes, and views. Just some feedback from watching other builders, maybe add in some more history of the instrument your working on. Talk different techniques and some other things..
Hi there, roughly what do you charge for a job like this? My friend has an Epiphone Sheraton that needs a neck reset. His tech wouldn’t do it, saying that the guitar wasn’t worth the amount of work it would take.
Please send me an email to discuss.
I need to refinish a part of my JP guitar because it chipped and the finish came off completely. Do you think stewmac wipe-on poly would work? what product did you use for the finish? Thank you!!
It’s hard to give advice without seeing the guitar in person.

Thanks for sharing the video. It seems the first and second strings are crossed at the end.
looks good can't even tell it 👍
Thanks 👍
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful weekend ❤😊
