wow this was one if not the most professional concrete countertop i've seen being made so far. amazing work!
this is what I call a professional work. well done, sir. thanks for sharing.
Yes, Jim is awesome and made a great work! Thanks for the comment!
That is probably the nicest looking counter top I have ever seen. Nice work guys. Good video too, not bogged down with fluff. Thanks for both of these.
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful work, I love watching someone who loves their trade.
Thanks for watching Bobby
Looks fantastic, hopefully people can appreciate the work that goes into something that's hand made and can understand the cost implications
Thank you for your kind words! We hope that too, and we're glad you did appreciate it!
Great quality, I spent many years making molds for architectural projects and used a very similar system, one thing we did slightly different when sealing edges with silicone was to spray the corners with a mild detergent and using a silicone tool it leaves no mess, so no waiting overnight to remove the tails. this was literally the most thorough video I have seen, very enjoyable to watch.
Thank you very much Designer- Garb. We're glad you enjoyed the video. And thanks a lot for sharing your tip!
Beautiful, job well done. It looks great, really like the colour finish.
... excellent video ... one of the best I've watched on CZcams, on any subject ...
Thanks so much Nigel! We're happy you liked it. We'll be posting more videos soon.
Outstanding Work!
Thanks David, thanks for watching!
Looks like quite the process, but what a end result! 👍🏼
Thanks, we're glad you liked the result!
What a stunner!
Best concrete sink I’ve seen
Thank you very much Atif Iqbal!
Obviously, you're professionals. Excellent job. You reduced the weight and your application of color is something I'll try.
Thanks StephenNu9! Let us know how it goes with the color application, if you have any questions, don't hesitate calling our technical support team.

Buddy Rhodes Concrete Products can you go more in depth on the glazing process and how to achieve the different looks
1586pame, That's a good idea for a video! I'll pass your suggestion to the team. Thanks!
Good job!! Amazing
Muchas gracias Club de Pesca Costaifonera!
Thats not what you call diy. But its brilliant. Nice one
Thanks Dave! It is for sure a little more complicated than a usual diy project.
Excellent
Thanks Phillip!
Awesome 👏
Thank you! And thanks for watching Oliver R.!
nice piece
Thank you for watching!
Good job.
Thank you OB1 STAR!
Great work dear
Thank you very much Muhammad Faizan Khan!
That’s cool as shit. Makes me realize that I definetly shouldn’t do it myself lol
Haha. Thanks Joel! A piece made by a professional as Jim is always going to look great and is the "safe choice", but something made by yourself is always rewarding. So if you're decided to do it yourself, that's what we're here for, to help you through the process, contact our technical support team and they will be glad to assist you.

Great work!!! Why didnt you mold the hole for the water faucet? How did you solved that problem?

That is an absolutely beautiful countertop! Great job!
A probably silly question: Could you not have (with a bit of treatment) used the original model that was cut for the drain board instead of going to the trouble of creating the mold? Would the resultant product not have been the same?
Cheers, and great work!!
Thanks andypandy!
That's a very good question. It could have been done as you say, but since the CNC cut piece is rigid, it would have been more difficult to demold, and probably be used only once. We wanted something flexible and that would allow us to use it many times.
Thanks for the comment!
Nice 😀👍
Thanks Luis!
Thanks Luis! And thanks for watching!

when you added the facet did you drill it after or did you make a plug for it and I just missed it?
HI Keegan, since this was an exhibition piece we didn't make a hole for the faucet. that way we have the liberty to change the place of the faucet in the future if necessary.
thats devine
Thank you for watching!
I remember watching your original dvds growing up. I like the use of water reducers and fiber. Have you ever added super plasticizers to the mix?? Make it easier to pour? And fill any voids?
Hi Benjamin, that's great about the dvds!
Actually the Water reducer 420 is technically a high range plasticizer or super plasticizer. We recommend 420 for spray applications, for pour applications we recommend the water reducer 555, which allows for more flow with less chance of segregation. You can see more information here: www.buddyrhodes.com/water-reducer-adva-555/
why not create the mold from foam using the cnc as opposed to doing all those molds to create more molds
Exente trabajo
Gracias Adrian!

Is the thick piece of the concrete hallow on some spots? I saw that you didnt add concrete to the entire mold.
Hello David, for the big piece, at 4:45, when they demold the piece, you can see that the whole piece is hallow, and you can see the thickness of the borders.
As for the small piece, it is cast completely, no hollow.
I would like to know how to make an solid concrete block it should be perfect flat surface without pores. Just with concrete what should I do? Especially with Sharp edges
Hello CUBETechie, please for contact our technical support team, they will help you: www.buddyrhodes.com/tech-support
Hi,
Could you recommended the material that you already used? Thank you.
All of the materials used in this project are Buddy Rhodes Materials, they are listed in the video and in the description, and you can find them in our website www.buddyrhodes.com
If you are only using it once, is it possible to use the tooling board directly, rather than making a silicon mold, then a resin version?
Yes, you could. This was cut out of a boarding tool, so it was pretty rigid and if used directly it could be a problem when demolding, damaging the casting. If it's going to be used directly, we would recommend it to be made out of foam.

Thanks. I thought that, especially after I looked at the price of tooling board :) Thanks again.
Wow
I am looking to pour a concrete monument base, it's a pyramid with a flat top. that a bronze statue will be affixed requiring anchor bolts to be cast in. I am wondering if it is possible to pour any of the products thicker, into a from like traditional concrete? the finish is to be polished. Does anyone have experience and maybe a link to a video for this?
Hi Tim, can you send us a tech ticket here: www.buddyrhodes.com/contact-support
How does the cost to purchase something like that compare to the same in granite or other stone?
Hello Peter, we don't sell the finished product, we sell the materials to make the projects: rubber, concrete, sealer...
We can't advise about prices of finished products.
Do you have to spray GFRC with spray gun,or can you also mold by hand?
Hi Brian, it is possible, but it's more difficult because the mix is fluid, and you would be risking to have voids that you wouldn't have if spraying. If you want a more in depth information, please ask our technical support team here: support.buddyrhodes.com/add/
Buddy Rhodes Concrete Products ok thank you,I follow your channel and I see you have a special mix that you use to do press molding.is that different from the GFRC mix? And I also visit your online store and would like to pruchase your products
Yes it is different, the Crafstman Mix is designed specially to exhibit clay like properties, which lends itself for use with the press technique.
Como puedo aprender a hacer eso? Ustedes dan akgun curso? Congrats

That is beautiful.....but damn that is a ALOT of work..... did you all calculate how many man hours you have in those two pieces?
Thanks e g. Definitely it takes some work. We didn't calculate the actual working time, but Jim worked on this for 3 and a half days, including all the wait time, for the rubber to cure, the caulk, the concrete, glazes...
Hello, sorry... but can you tell me whats the name of the material (pink/purple) that you use for the space of the dishwasher? its some 1 1/2 foam? thanks a lot
Hello Daniel, it is called Extruded Foam.
@@BuddyRhodesConcreteProducts thanks masters!
1:52 whats its that white liquid? Im sorry, my english its too bad
just curious what would be the cost
Hi Sandra, I'm sorry I don't have the information of the total cost, but you can find the price of every concrete product used in our website: www.buddyrhodes.com
And rubber material in www.smooth-on.com
What color of glazes did you use on this project
Hi Ray Carberry, Jim used different combinations of Black, White and Leather, mixed between them and diluted with water. Last coat was white a little diluted with water.
Nice but a way more expensive than granite..

Lol not a diy project
This looks cost prohibitive to pay someone due to all the steps and man hours. interesting though.
We're glad you found it interesting. Thanks for the comment.
