I am very interested in using this to create a faux stone backslash in a tiny house kitchen. Three questions: The current wall is plywood, is a substrate needed with that? If so, weight is an issue, so would chemicken wire be sufficient? What is the thinnest you suggest for application? I'm hoping to keep it no more than .75" thanks!

Do I need clean and set if I let my last finish coat dry for multiple days ?
Clean and Set is an optional step you can take to “kick start” the reaction with the concrete to gain some early protection during the cure process. It can also be used as a cleaner during the curing stage of PS1 for the first 28 days after sealing. You do not have to use it.
Can I "paint" on the concrete instead of spraying? I do not have a hopper and can not find anyone with one to rent
It is very difficult to do GFRC without a hopper gun. The technique relies on a thin, even coating for the first layer. You can find a gun for purchase here: www.buddyrhodes.com/ezy-deck-pro-gun-hopper. If you cannot procure a gun, you might want to consider using a different technique that doesn’t require one.

Noticed that this mix is nonlonger available, would gfrc or ecc mix work similar?
GFRC Mix is closest to Countertop Mix, but you will need to follow the mix recipes for GFRC and not try to apply the Countertop Mix recipes to a different mix.

what about an existing concrete counter top that is starting to show wear marks? would you recommend using the penetrating sealer again, then the satin sealer?

ECC would not be recommended for use as a fire pit.
Could the glaze be used to transform the colour of bricks in an alfreco area?
It may be possible, but this glaze is designed specifically for concrete. You would need to test.

Is RAMP a basic diluted PVA ? I make small sculpture, I've got a small bag of vert mix, is water good enough? I mixed a batch with plaster, work good, just sets way too fast.
