Well described. It's like sitting in your shop with a friend. I often use steel wool, HOWEVER don't buy cheap!! Cheap steel wool falls apart and you'll be picking up shards everywhere including out of your eyes.
Warning, after removing bluing with a sock and vinegar, your feet will be discolored and will smell like french fries that you get from the fair.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I would say no as the vinegar would then get inside of the barrel and may cause damage.

just buy rust and blue remover on Amazon makes life easier fuck that vinegar...
