    - We are aware the camera auto focuses alot and we are trying to fix that for the next video.
    -What do you think of the camera angle?
    -All comments/suggestions are welcome. Please don't be shy.
    Intro song is "too close" by Alex Clare and I do not own any part of that song.

    Great way to modernize an old sniper rifle--Great Deer hunting rifle.

    I liked getting to see a 91/30 in this stock with the full length barrel. Almost all the videos I've seen online of this stock have been with a sporterized rifle that had the barrel shortened. That stock really classes up how it looks overall.

    Thanks for the kind words! I will be sure to make a video as soon as it comes in.

    I literally watched this vid because the mosin I bought had an ati stock on it when I bought it used for 99 bucks and hated it and wanted to disassemble it and put on an original one on. Lol

    You should get an archangel stock on it from pro-mag and you from southern Minnesota? Im from mankato!

    ummmm, that shim ain't gonna affect bore/sight alignment and shot placement. if you can't sight down the barrel to see about where your shot will land then a shim won't change it. the shim may affect things a great deal and i can't even tell if i need mine yet, but it is not going to affect shot placement exactly as described in video

    would love to see how you addressed the loading issue... my ATI after installation would not allow me to load rounds..as if it was too tight in the breach. was kinda mad specially after I paid to have a gunsmith bed and float it it...lol

      +bratwurstbuster It sounds like the bedding might have gone bad. Check the interrupter movement: this somewhat long horizontal piece of metal that sticks into the action and stops rounds from jumping out of the mag well all at once. If some bedding material got between the stock and that metal piece, then it will not move into the action far enough to allow rounds going into the mag from the top. If this is the case, just dremel a bit of the bedding and/or stock to allow for the interrupter to move flush with the action when pushed with a thumb or a finger.
      Hope this helps.

      The stock was probably interfering with the cartridge interrupter. If there isn't enough clearance on the left side of the magazine well, it'll bind the mechanism and mess up the feeding. Luckily, my rifle and stock were fine as is, but there is a lot of variations in Mosins, and likely some variation in the stocks themselves. Having to do minor inletting on aftermarket stocks isn't uncommon, even for commercial sporter rifles.

      I don't see how the stock could cause that, it doesn't contact the magazine, magazone follower or the chamber at all. I'm thinking the bedding job had more to do with it

    Mosin Miller has a way with the mosin bolts.

    HELP NEEDED:
    I just got my M91/30, it's a 1927 hex receiver from Ishvesk.
    It fits the monte carlo stock, but it feels a little too tight around the barrel ( not free floated at all).
    I have not had a chance to fire it, but the biggest problem I noticed so far is with the internal magazine and the spring on the left side to where you feed to rounds (the same part the helps ejecting the rounds).
    I have to push HARD to get the rounds in the internal box, and they get jammed in there.
    They won't fall trough if I open the box magazin, and the spring can't push them up to chamber them.
    Is this common and should I just remove some of the plastic on the stock to allow for more space on the spring( left in the breach) and where the internal magazine goes, or is there something else wrong that you know of ?
    Thanks in advance for any help with this.

      @WHMarms  Před 9 lety

      I am unaware of how common it is however, I would suggest removing material from suspect areas by sanding, filing, or by using dremel tool. It is possible to use some modeling clay to find tight areas. Place some clay in areas that you think are too tight and assembly the receiver in the stock. Disassemble and the areas where all the clay is squished out are the areas where the receiver is touching the stock. Remember to take your time. A little at a time is better than buying a new stock. If there are any further questions feel free to ask.

      @phompiedom Před 9 lety

      Thank you, I have been filing and sanding it for the past few days. Rounds now feed reliably and the loading is butter smooth.
      Can't wait to try it out.
      Many thanks!

      @shawnwells5719 Před 7 lety

      Yeah, the left side of the magazine well can bind on the cartridge interrupter. A little inletting solves the problem.
