  • In this video I will review the Mosin Nagant 91/30 muzzle brake from Texas Precision Products (TPP). This is an excellent addition to your Mosin. They also make a muzzle brake for the M44, M38, AK47, SKS, AR15, AR10, and many other guns. This muzzle brake requires no gunsmithing or fitting, reduces recoil by up to 50%, and reduces muzzle rise.

    I have one on my M44. Works amazingly well. Recoil about like a 243. I actually had to exchange mine for a different variation to fit past my front sight block. I have 2 M44s and the first one would fit my 1943 stock but not my 1948 that I have modified. The fellow at Texas Precision Products stuck me the one I needed in the mail the day I called trusting me to return the one I didn't need for no extra charge. The workmanship and service are outstanding. Doesn't hurt he's a fellow Texan.

      So you managed to fit one of these on your m44?

    I have it, it's great, it was tight but i liked it tight. Well made, good people at TPP , got mine out quickly , and super super easy to install. I bought it for my 91/30 next for my M44. Great product I recommend this product highly. Call and talk them if you have questions, they are super nice guys.

    Ordered one and had it installed. Gives the rifle a sinister new look. I can't say that it checks the recoil with any significance. The thing still kicks like an ornery mule, however aesthetically speaking, it looks awesome as hell.

    Just got this same brake in yesterday, very well made. Fit on perfectly and my mosin looks almost like the big anti material rifles some countries use. I like it so far

      It is, incredibly heavy duty build. I have had a lot of bad weather here lately but can not wait to get to the range to test it out. Will be posting a video then. Thanks for viewing and subscribing!

    The M44 and 9130 muzzle brakes are well made..however, the SKS BRAKES simply spread out and crack on the wing sections...I blew one off last Saturday out on the farm..first time out with it on..it lasted about 100 rounds..even with routine tightening...it blew off..that is the third one to blow out...still...most of their products are outstanding...just not the SKS...I DON'T THINK he makes them anymore...

    I bought one for my Mosin but while the muzzle rise was checked by all the ports on top and pushing up, it forced the muzzle down and the recoil into the shoulder. I drilled holes on the bottom to match those on top and the recoil is reduced and muzzle rise eliminated.

    I suppose it does not work on Finnish m-39s. The barrel being a different diameter and all.

    “I modified the front sight”
    Judging by the stock, I’d say you modified way more than that.

    Finally got some range time in with this muzzle brake. I will be posting a video of the Mosin and brake specifically in the very near future . In that video I will show how it performed and give some thoughts and opinions on it. For now though here is a link to the full range visit preview.

      +PoorManGuns Soon I am going to be getting a Mosin Nagant made in 1928, do you think the muzzle brake would fit a 1928 Mosin? I believe it is either a Dragoon model or a Cossack

    Bro what's that wood stock called and ur bolt.??

    • @dwellbig
      @dwellbig  Před 7 lety

      Wood stock is from Boyds Gun Stocks and it is called the Varmint thumbhole stock. The bolt is actually the original bolt just polished to shine. I have a video on that process if you are interested.
