Yeah I had issues with the older camera.
awesome i use to make mind in my spare time at work in machine shop.feels good to make a custom bait that catches lots of fish.I bought Do it molds back in 1990's i use to say why they not make them big enough to hold the hooks straight they are the worse for making true running baits
Thank you! I'd like to get a small CNC machine and make my own molds, but for now a little machining on the mill will have to do. It's definitely a great feeling catching fish on something you made yourself and that's why I love making just about everything I use now.
what size hooks are you using? what brand?
The EWG hook is a 1/0 from Michael Bury and the standard jig hooks are Owner #1 and 1/0.
Have you ever poured any underspins? If yes, what mold? Is it a good mold for smallmouth or spotted bass
This jig works on so many different species of fish. We've caught everything on them, including catfish, pike, bass largemouthand small, bluegill, perch, walleye, crappie, and several species of trout.

Great vid I’m having trouble with my pours and the hooks being loose in the lead. I heated up my mold before pouring but every jig was loose. Not sure what the problem is.
Most of the time that can be resolved by making sure the hooks and keepers are warm before pouring, letting the jigs sit a little longer in the mold before removing, lifting by the sprew, and if you're still having issues use harder lead.
Do you know those magnets being heated up will lose its magnate effect?
Yes I know that and when they need to be replaced they can be replaced easily for just a few cents.
Your half-face respirator isn't doing anything while you have a beard.
It's not as effective with a beard but you can't really say it's not doing anything. I also use other safety precautions "exhaust hood system, keeping the lead just above the melting point, I don't use a sander to smooth imperfections in the lead that cause lead particulates to float around and be ingested, I don't eat, drink, or prepare food around my work area, wash my hands often, and try not to touch my face while handling unpainted or raw lead.
