    I like to take a Sharpie and mark the weight on one side and the hook size on the other. I cast my baits one at a time so it make it easier to follow. If you use a flat eye then put a drop of UV on it , hit it with a black light, you can get a 3-D eye that is not only cheaper but is ready to go. No drying time.

      That’s interesting about eye and UV thing. Haven’t heard of that.

      @@MattLunaFishing I have the do it molds Swimbait head mold I’m not a big fan of how the lead comes back the bait makes rigging them a pain

      I’ve heard some people complain about that as well. I don’t have that mold. You’ll like this one

    Just poured my first jigs on this mold today. What are some of your favorite baits and sizes for this mold?
    With a 3/0 hook I don’t believe my 3.8 swimbaits are fitting very well

    • @MattLunaFishing
      @MattLunaFishing  Před 4 měsíci

      What’s the issue with the hook? Too big or too small in your opinion?
      Generally I’m using small 3.0 or 2.7 sizes. A 3.8 should be good to go

    • @NeverDunnFishing
      @NeverDunnFishing Před 4 měsíci

      3/0 looks too small on a 3.8 in my opinion. I think a 3in would probably perfect, I’ve never thrown anything that small before.

    • @MattLunaFishing
      @MattLunaFishing  Před 4 měsíci

      @NeverDunnFishing without seeing it myself it’s hard to say, but i think it would be right on the money for a 3.8. If it’s a keitech you want that bait to get as much action as possible so you don’t want to over hook it.
      You can usually go up or down one size hook from what the mold calls for.

    Having some issues getting the jigs out of mold. Interested if you have any advice on this.

      Try spraying a little blaster dry lube in there. Or try wiggling the top of the sprue and it should come out.

    Has anyone tried a different hook that worked other then the one recommended.

      I haven’t tried yet. Usually you can, but I’ve heard people say otherwise. I need to give it a shot, just haven’t had time to play with the mold since filming it.

  • @derrickmorrisfishing3896

    Have you tried a 1/0 in the 3/8oz yet? We use a lot of 3/8oz 1/0 heads with 2.8” Swim baits in the winter to drag ditches. I am very interested in adding this mold to my stable if the 1/0 hook will work in the 3/8oz mold
