You expect me to believe the NATIONAL soccer team went missing mid-flight, and there wasn't an immediate rescue party sent out? Athletes are treated like gods, and SOMEONE would have had access to their flight path.
Like for real, you'd think that the US navy and airforce would have found them within 48 hours or 3 days at most especially after they won a World Cup for their country
Maybe I missed something but Andreas didn't deserve getting left behind. He was one of the most level-headed people and made hard choices for the good of the group. He only really lost it after losing his brother in a gruesome way, but even then, all he did was fight against Slim's group because he thought they hurt Elena. It's not his fault Arnie lied to him.

Then I ask you this.....why do you see it as him being left behind? I saw him see the rescue team and haul buns, ultimately not returning. He wasn't tied to a tree or locked in a military bunker while the team was rescued. He chose to stay. For what reason? We're left to determine that on our own. But I find it odd you see it that way.
@lovelyscorp79 He "chose" to stay because he was completely fucked mentally after all that happened on the island. It's akin to someone "choosing" to commit suic ide, they might think that's the last resort for their problems, but we shouldn't just accept that choice and they need help. When Slim told the rescue team no one else was in the island, he was ultimately abandoning his friend during a mental breakdown.

The implication that there's a such a thing as a bench-warmer on a national team is hilarious. You're still one of the 22 best players in your country, nobody on that team would haze you.
The team members didn't pick who's on the team, since its the managers decision to decide whos on the team. You could place the best people within any industry into a group but there is no guarantee that they will get alone.
Also, being on the team does not mean that they are the best 22 people within the country. For example would be if your countries best 30 players were defence, gk, and defensive midfields, you would not pick the best 22 people because you would need people to play in different positions.

This movie was more like a stupid reality show than something what would really happen in a situation like this.
If the national team's flight crashes, they will be searched with great forces. The plane's planned route is known. They actually had quite good chance to be found in some days. People in this situation are more likely to work together instead of playing battle royale, clapping, jumping off the cliff and play tig in the woods after discovering it's a minefield - especially as they are already a team, not strangers.
And c'moon, make a bloody fire to help the rescuers - that's the most basic thing...

There were some asian boys (7 or so) who lost paddle and their boat got drifted into the sea, they probably spend on the unhabited island for a year, and everyone cooperated, they even took care of a boy who broke his leg while he was hunting birds at the cliff for months. They worked together to survive and they did. This battle royale nonsense is bs and tiring as it inflicts great damage to the brain seeing nonsensical plots leading to it that was told in holywood movies 100 times.
They would be found "instantly" and it would take MINIMUM 3 months alone in the island for Pulisic/ Dest to turn into savages.

Actually they became life long friends and the only animalistic freak was the exp. leader who tried to manipulate the participants to turn against each other.

Nah. Trust me. You take away all comforts and people turn savage quick. When people are scared, angry, hungry, thirsty, they do stupid things and their true nature comes out. There has been a ton of examples of this throughout history. This movie was a retelling of the book lord of the flies and there have been at least two other movies from that book. Hell, covid we saw how people got nuts with price gouging, desperation, toilet paper hoarding.

A scientist by the name of Santiago Genovés tried to simulate this by staying with 10 people on a raft waiting to see the whole thing devolve into chaos but the opposite actually happened, even if there were flings, hookups and feelings happening with the people on the raft they actually held a good bond, kept the raft functional and morale high even in bad times, there wasn't even an outcast in the group even if it was filled with people from different groups and regions and the captain was a woman. the only tensions started when Santiago got pissed that everyone was getting along so they just ostricized him when he wanted to start problems lol.

For thousands of years, human survival required human cooperation. It's when survival *isn't* in question that the fights start.
Or, you know, when resources get short enough were other humans become competition. But even then, in group/outgroup social dynamics are the deciding factor.

This movie seems to be inspired by the novel "Lord of the flies" by William Golding, but it doesn't seem like this movie does justice to show the story telling and complexities of that masterpiece of a novel

actually these 2 are pretty stupid. They have no water or food and dont know where they are or where they going. You can survive only a few days without water and on open sea there is non of that and the possibility to find help before dying is like 0% so i rather stay on the island where i can get water and food.

The funniest part about this isn't even the video it's the comments and how everyone says its funny that the US would not win a world cup. The real funny part is how no one mentions anything about a commercial plane crashing and not being located due to it having a literal ADS-B transponder that is built into the plane and deigned to withstand plane crashes. Plenty of people survive plane crashes. Look at Japan Air Lines Flight 123. Very hard crash, but many people somehow managed to survive but most died because the Japanese government decided to wait until morning.

Yeah JAL Fligh 123 is so freaking sad. I highly suggest you dont listen to the black box, you could here it when the plane first skims the ground and the captain is like "this is the end" and the sound of the engine paired with the urgency and hopelessness in the voice of the pilots just gives you a real sense of dread. His brother was losing a lot of blood due to his leg being blown off. He was dying so instead of him suffering he ended his suffering. Didn’t matter that he “wanted to live” he was going to die

They survive. They also found a first aid kit on the plane which I'm sure was stocked with the essentials. His brother gave up too soon and ended him. Probably just wanted his portion of food and water.
