Wow! I heard you say that you have 5 brothers. Undoubtedly, your personality was shaped by having 5 male siblings. This is another tremendously researched video. However, I figured out why your videos are so good. Your videos are wonderful because they possess a large degree of "wholesomeness" which is palpable. It is the pleasantness of the music, the sincerity of your voice, the great photography, and the unique little stories like the girl who was cremated and interred in teddy bears. You are the only videographer who presents stories like that. Thank you so much.

you are very perceptive, but then that's your job, right? :-) so, obviously, you are very good at your job. you would have made a good film critic, too :-) i grew up in the 1960s in a very wholesome suburb of LA and in a very wholesome family and time in american history. most of the movies and tv shows of that era were very wholesome, too. i've always felt very fortunate and grateful for that. for me, decency and kindness are the most important qualities in people, so i guess that comes out in my videos. unfortunately, those are not qualities that are valued very highly in our world, these days. thanks for noticing, pc!

What a great weekend, so much to do and to see. We met wonderful people who were friends of Lucy and Desi--authors, great impressionists of Lucy and Ethel, Robert Osborne, Carole Cook etc. The Firector, Ric Wyman, was very personable and down to earth. My mom and I had such a wonderful weekend, we ended up spending an extra day-- four days of fun and excitement. We live about 7 hours from Jamestown in Oneonta NY, which is about 35 minutes from Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. 🙂

We had an absolutely wonderful time and spent an extra day to take in the beautiful area and to do some exploring on our own. We were going to go to another Lucy festival but unfortunately my mom fell and we were unable to attend. I hope to return to Jamestown. I found out that Lucy's favorite flowers were lilacs, mine, too; that she loved to play backgammon, me too; and she shares the same birthday as my best friend🙂. As many times as I have watched the show, she always makes me laugh. Whenever I am having a bad day, the best remedy is to bring out the DVDs and watch a marathon of I Love Lucy!! The best cure in the world. I have such very fond memories of spending Lucy's Birthday Celebration with my mom. She also had a great time. She has passed away, but when I go back to Jamestown, she will be with me in spirit. Have a great day

Thanks Steve! This video was suggested to me, and I’m so glad because of the little tidbits you add, like John Candy and the little girl. This is one of the reasons I love your channel. I never thought about where John would be, but it makes me sad to think about how he passed so young.

Hi, Stever, yet another great vlog. Most who know Fred MacMurray from the reruns of My Three Sons don't really know that he had a long and distinguished career in films, in dramas, and usually playing the heavy. I am a HUGE Bogart fan, and one of my favorites is "The Caine Mutiny". MacMurray was as big a part , if not more so than Bogie in the film, again playing the underlying antagonist of the film. And of course, the great film noir classic with Barbara Stanwyck, "Double Indemnity" as the ruthless cheating and murderous insurance agent. He made his chops in the classic era of Hollywood, long becoming the perfect and often comedic dad on My Three Sons.

I can still remember seeing the news report about William Demarest’s death and funeral from back when I was a kid. I recall a few shots from his graveside service and a quick comment from Fred MacMurray as he was leaving after the service. Seeing the age on Demorest’s grave plaque is a reminder of just how long ago it has been since his passing ... nearly 40 years!

Thank you, Steve. I've always been a fan of Beverly Garland, who played Barbara on My Three Sons. She was cremated. I just finished reading her semi-auto biography and she accomplished so much during her life, being a theater actress to series tv actress, tourism representative. The Garland Hotel is owned by her family in North Vineland, off of the 101 - they have a walking tour to the Brady Bunch house. Tina Cole is another favorite who I love following on her FB page. Appreciate the videos! Thank you.
