I rode one of those 1980 to 1985. Lots of vibration, especially above 60 mph. Top speed 105 mph but my eyes were shaking so much it was hard to see. If the battery stops charging it likely needs new brushes for the alternator. The MT-07 is a modern version of this. Very good cornering back then likely even better with modern tires now.
I had one just like it loved it put over 20000 miles on it. Wish I could find another.
The rattling comes from the starter release spring which was a recall and a part replacement which takes care of that noise.
