    The first year was 1970, they were green and white. 71 was orange and white, 72 was red and white.

    I'm assuming it's been sold... This would be a nice bike for my wife and myself as well. Thanks for the review.

    Its a nice bike with the spokes wheels. In Germany we could buy the Yam Heritage too. Not from the official importer, the Motorcycle parts dealer Detlev Louis offered it, after Yamaha stopped 1985 selling the Standard XS 650, Typ 447, and the Chopper type (similar to the Heritage, but with aluminium wheels) - I‘m little bit seesick now, depends on the handling of the camera and a lot of informationes. I could not hear quick enough, so much words came to my ears in a short time!

    Hey brother I got a question for you man, would you rather purchase a 1971 Honda CB750 all original with a little high mileage but a rebuilt big bore motor? or a 1975 Yamaha XS650 about 95% original with a non rebuilt motor with quite a few less miles? I have a chance to buy either one tomorrow man but I don't know which one to choose to be honest I'm leaning more towards the Honda but I love that look of the XS motor and the whole package is so badass! I'm beat my head against the wall here! I don't know which one to choose! can anyone help me and give me their absolute honest opinion, thank you

      @lr882027  Před 4 lety

      I'd take the XS, especially if it's a 75, I think they were 1 year only, cool pipes that male a good sound.

      @@lr882027 really brother! I was actually leaning more towards the Honda, but I will absolutely take your advice to mind, the Honda CB750 from 71 has 82316 miles with an original big bored motor, it runs but is rough-looking but is 100% complete, the 75 XS is all original with between 11 and 12000 miles, in extremely clean condition, and in perfect running condition, I've never owned an XS650 and I already own a 73 CB750, which I ride every day, and I have been seriously wanting a 71 cb750k1, if I can pick up both I absolutely am

    So many get modded and destroyed. Mine is quite original - czcams.com/video/FTapmt6P5-0/video.html But I did add an extra front disc.

    the only problem in my eyes is the bike needed more power,maybe an 850 or a 1000 then it would have been an excellent machine.

    • @lr882027
      @lr882027  Před 7 lety +1

      No no no, more horsepower is not the answer for this bike, beautiful combination of chassis and engine makes it a lovely bike to ride

      Kurt Haarmann your lack of knowledge of this piece of art is outstanding, you should have just kept to yourself would have been a lot better off for everybody.

      IR88 and@@dennismoore3688 I agree , the engine and later (post 73) heavier duty frame are a great combo. The earlier bikes are fun too if a little flexible in frame, tho there are useful mods. The engine throughout is wonderful , useble torque in every gear at the right revs, nice and low down.

      @@matthewcoldicutt5951 I just bought one about a month ago...a 1980 Yamaha 650 Special. It is a work of art and they are really hard to find complete. Most need much work or have been modified. It came with the cast wheels...super heavy...I want to put on spoke wheels but that's it. It's getting to the point where a complete bike in excellent condition is going for $5000. I'm looking forward to the summer to take it out.
