This was my first Soviet Jet and it’s really fun. The cannon can be a pain sometimes and it’s really hard to learn to aim with them. However it’s a turny jet. It’s fun once you get used to it. I had a P-51H that had me dead by rights and I some how won that fight.

I love this plane. It really feels like a sniper. Pick your shots and battles precisely and it just taps everything out of the sky, and can out turn whatever it cant out run.
Can it out-turn the P51H? That's the one plane I struggle with in this.

@@TheCadman069 Yes, it can at low speeds since it's basically a jet yak-3, but any P-51 H pilot with half a brain is gonna outclimb you and boom and zoom you till you're dead, lol. Almost no reason why they would ever turn fight you at such slow speeds.

I unlocked this jet pretty recently and was having a beautiful dogfight with an f8f. Neither of us could really get the upper hand, but one of his teammates came in and ruined it lol. But it's nice that you can cruise around at 660 or 670 even mostly stock. Def helped me get away

my favorite aircraft in WT, has the benefits of being a jet with its sustainable high speed and the prop body with its very good turn rate.
very fun but not that good against 288s
High speed? This thing is still slower than most propeller aircraft at 6.3 and it has no acceleration
@heliogonzalezsanchez8227 at lower attitudes props will not be able to reach even close to their stat cards top speed, unlike the yak 15 which while having not very good acceleration compensates for it with its jet engine which helps massively at getting to and keeping its top speed

@@jacksteel1539 maybe what you would realistically reach in a match? I know jets, even early jets like this one can maintain their speed in a straight line but knowing how bad the acceleration is and that is still a yak 3 fuselage there's not that many scenarios where you can outspeed other planes
@@heliogonzalezsanchez8227 well realistically at higher speeds it actually will accelerate faster than props will and maintain that speed much better in turns, keep above 500 kph unless you retain the energy vertically.
Gotta remember energy is mass x speed squared so adding 10 kph at 600 kph is actually giving you significantly more energy than at 300 kph
I'd recommend revisiting the Mirage 2000D. It received a gunpod back in March, more countermeasures last month and still sits at 11.3 with Magic 2s.

i actually just finished spading the Yak-15P a few days ago, despite it having few rounds i quickly realized all i needed to really do was sit on someones ass till they ran out of energy and then do a short burst to finish them

10:54 in a dogfight against a P-59 and two P-51s i basically had to hold them off till my teammate arrived since i was already low on ammo, and he ended up killing them after I set them up partially
its just unfortunate you dont have more ammo or else 1v3s would be a little easier since you can knock a few out with some sketchy shots
The F2G player in the chat complaining about the Ta 152H ( 4:37 ) has to be one of the funniest things I've seen in a while
It's very effective in Ground RB where the enemy planes are loaded with ordinance and the spaa at 6.3 can barely hit you. Also the 23mm easily catch tank engines on fire.
It’s very good in sim, because you often get 5.3-6.3 lobbies where you can absolutely shit on things like American ground strikers, every prop fighter and bombers

That last match was probably the most relatable in a long time. Get absolutely dicked by your early game mistakes and bad RNG; still end up with 5 kills at the end of the match because you end up shooting down mouthbreathers and winning the game for your team

I should go back to that thing. Stopped spading it with real shatter. Have a clip with 12 37mm sparks on a stalled out f84. Gave up on the spot.
@@bradenhagen7977 MiG guns are a lot better than they were with real shitter but recently I've still gotten quite a few inconsistent crits and hits with 37mm air targets. Hopefully having 3 of 'em instead of just 1 is enough to fix that problem though. And it could just be me.

american english uses dove while british english uses dived
i would say the passive is now most commonly said as "get dived on", "get dove on" sounds strange. but in any other case, phrasal or standard, "dove" is what should be used. "i dove down", "he dove on me", "i don't want to get dived on"

@DEFYN this is surely a question you get asked a lot, and I believe in one of your latest videos you talked a bit but didnt go too much in depth, I played a lot of war thunder from 2016-2018 and I am getting back, I stopped in 9.3 german air with the cl13b and have unlocked the mig 21mf, I am having a lot of trouble not with target prioritization, energy fighting or positioning, but my aim, since I was already rusty + never had played supersonics as well as the gun on the mig21 being quite a bit low on the fuselage I cannot hit shots for the life of me, I get plenty of perfect shot opportunities but cant capitalize on them, other than practice is there ANY sources of practice and/or tips I can get, it can be absolutely anything.
the gsh-23 is just an incredibly difficult to aim cannon anyway. the best chance you have is to just keep banging out matches and just keep trying
