These always make me a little tearful. All beautiful and too good for H8. They deserved better.
Actually for a lot of his life he was considered athletic and attractive.
They were all gorgeous, Henry did not appreciate what he had with each of them.
Henry was a king, he could have any cutie he saw, and his extra marital affairs were well known before he divorced Catherine.
What he needed was a male heir, from a wife.
For a century England had had an ongoing civil war over succession. With out a male heir the country could be plunged back in to war again.
Henry didn’t have six wives because he was randy but he needed that heir from a wife
Catherine only gave him a daughter, same with Ann, Jane died, he suffered a brain injury and his heath went to crap. He probably was impotent with Anne, so called her ugly, Howard cheated on him. Not bad in of itself, but any baby born of her was treason against the state, as there was no way then to prove it a royal child,
He was so sick of body and mind that Parr was just a decoration
This just shows Henry the Eighth was a homicidal malignant narcissist.

While Anne was most likely innocent Howard certainly had cheated on him. Adultery was not punished with death then, but a queen committing adultery was treason against the state.
I really like Anna of Cleves as the death metal chick.
It’s interesting, though the only Tudor wife that I can see veering towards the goth look is Anne Boleyn, and even then, I think she would keep it as feminine and frilly as possible.

I think it's a nod to modern Berlin fashion. But I actually think Catherine Howard would be the most goth.
All of them are so beautiful in their own way. I feel sorry for each and every one of them. He was a monster, an evil, vile, vain man. They had no real choice once he decided that he wanted them. May they souls rest in peace xxx

This blew me away. I am a direct descendant of the Parr family and I have only limited images of Catherine from paintings done nearly 500yrs ago. Seeing her as she would look today was incredible. I actually could see my great auntie in her. Thank you for getting as close as possible with the technology you've used. I will say it's something I am glad I accidentally found this post. Thanks

I think his type was a woman named Catherine. Half of his wives shared that name.
I saw somewhere that they were ALL actually distant related via another video on YT via King Edward I including King Henry VIII!!! Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard were first cousins due to Anne's mom and Catherine's dad were siblings. Catherine Howard's grandmother, Elizabeth Tilney was a sister to Jane Seymour's grandmother, Anne Say making them 2nd cousins. It's a small world!!!!

All of these women were attractive and intelligent and accomplished (as much as their time allowed them to be anyway). This video really makes you wonder what, and who they could have been had they been born in modern times.

I liked all of the ladies. My personal favorite was Anne of Cleves, because she was smart and became a “sister” to Henry. He didn’t appreciate any of the beautiful women he married and only saw them as breeding cows for a son.

It's fascinating to see what they would have looked like, but in some ways it is very weird as these women were so important in history, women of fascination, and yet they are made kind of ordinary in today's terms. All 6 women are beautiful! Sadly their paths crossed in his way and he treated each one so miserably. Having read numerous books on this Tudor subject, each one was a strong woman in their own way.

Because of the paintings they are based off of; court artists had a ‘look’. So the Recreations can’t really work with a lot of variety. Plus, many of these portraits are disputed as to whom they really portrayed. Still, nice work.
That's exactly what I thought! I have to wonder, is it because the artist painting their portraits could only paint one face, or did they all really look so much alike. Some people do have a "type" and all their girlfriends or boyfriends look very similar so it could be possible they all had a similar appearance.

Caterine Howard najładniejsza i szkoda, że tak młodo umarła mając tylko 19 lat 😢 Choć wtedy to już 12-13 lat dziewczynki wychodziły za mąż i rodziły dzieci 40-50 lat z reguły żyli ludzie, mało kto dożywał 60-70 lat 😢 Straszne to jest, że zostały ścinane 😢
