  • This is my current 2023 setup with the Mac Mini at the core. My setup has evolved so many times and it’ll most likely change again in the near future, which I’ll do an update for once it’s gone through a change. I would say most of my stuff are pretty budget friendly but still able to perform at the level I need at the moment. I like minimalism but with that, everything needs to have a purpose. Your setup, workstation, or desk should be your sanctuary where you would want to go, be focused, and productive. I hope my setup inspires you in some ways!

    Wow, nice setup Matt! I agree with spending more money on a chair, I work 100% remote since Covid and it makes a difference. Appreciate the great videos!

      Yeah your chair should definitely be one of the top investments! Thanks for sharing and really appreciate the support!

    Nice setup! Love the desk mat, and nano leaf lights. Speakers look a bit low - how do you find them down there? Also - would love to see chapters in the video. 🙂

    • @mattchungz
      @mattchungz  Před rokem

      Thanks! Still a little new on putting videos up but will work on adding chapters, thanks for the feedback! I also have another desk setup for my PC and gaming, will get around to doing a video for that.
      I actually have speaker stands for these and opted to remove them. I prefer a cleaner look than the slight improvment of audio quality. However, I might look into wedges instead to angle them upwards and still being able to keep the clean look.

    Great Setup man! I was thinking for going M2 Mac mini Base Model but with 16GB ram and use external ssd's for storage, I usually edit 1080p footage and It should not be a problem for that?

    • @mattchungz
      @mattchungz  Před rokem

      Thanks! If you’re editing 1080p footage, the base model M2 is more than enough. You’ll even be able to handle 4K editing if you make that move.

    Really love ur video! 👍
    I just wanna confirm from you.

      Thanks! The Nanoleaf panels? Yeah I definitely recommend them. If you like RGB lighting and to colour the room, go with the regular panels. If you like more ambient lighting, don’t really care for RGB, and you like minimalism and earthy tones, go with the Nanoleaf Elements panels that have a wood finish. But the lights and the functionality they have are awesome

      Thanks! Just learning on my own and watching tutorials online when I need to figure something out. Otherwise so far it’s pretty intuitive if you’re already familiar with Premiere Pro.

    How do you only have 300+ subscribers you do amazing stuff! I would like to know what you use as far as camera and software I want to do something similar but for dj related stuff?

    • @mattchungz
      @mattchungz  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the support! Truly appreciate it! I use the Sony A7IV as I do primarily video but also some photos here and there, it’s the probably the best hybrid camera you can get. I guess for camera, a lot of factors come into play like your budget, needs, etc. I plan to do a video to cover cameras. For editing software, I’ve used Premiere my whole life, transitioned to Final Cut, and now learning Da Vinci. Also planning to do a video to talk and compare the 3. Short answer: Premiere is expensive and unstable, Final Cut just isn’t at the level, and Da Vinci so far has been really good, plus the free version is more than enough for beginners. Hope that helps!

    Sir nice setup
    Just wondering is possible to use my asus 27 inch 1440p 144hz on mac mini? Can it run 144hz on 1440p? Thanks using hdmi cable

    • @mattchungz
      @mattchungz  Před rokem

      Thanks! Yes you’ll be able to use your Asus monitor and run 1440p 144hz. This display output requires HDMI 2.0 which is standard and is on the base model M2 Mac Mini. The Mac Mini with the M2 Pro has HDMI 2.1, which will allow you run 4K 120hz and up to 8K 60hz, will need an HDMI 2.1 cable though. Something to keep in mind for the future if you need to move up to 4K 120hz and up.

    • @mattchungz

      While editing, the amount of plugging in and unplugging different drives, it’s just not practical to keep fiddling with it. Still need to plug SD cards in so having a hub is still needed anyways
