Kane hit on Cole - Have your say!

- Evander Kane was gliding through the slot and just happened to glide through the head of Ian Cole. On a scale of 1 (intentional) to 10 (completely accidental), how accidental do you think this was? Have your say!

i mean...evander was going in a straight line, he didn't change course to hit Cole, but once Cole & he crossed paths, he did give that little "extra" elbow to the head area but isn't obvious whether or not he was aiming for the head region of his opponent. I think a penatly would be fair, but anything else would just be sending a message. No need for a suspension, just dish out his penalty and move along. 'Vander didn't alter his line one bit, both players naturally aligned to cross paths and a rough, mildly chaotic play was created by the two colliding forces.
A good analysis, well-presented
Similar penalty called against Zodorov in this game as Oiler player skated into him and called for tripping
@@senortanozadorov stuck his leg out
Typical Oiler comments.
@@eric6650 I’m a wings fan from Michigan. Try again.
Even if it was a 5 minute major, does anything actually think it would have changed anything? Maybe a few more shots not taken by #43 and a few more impressive twirls with the puck on a string without any shots being taken in the end.
This is an example of a good non-call. If on the other hand it opened up a clear scoring chance by interference it would have been a very different example.
I’ve never seen a call on this channel that actually matters. All of these hits would have made 70’s fans and players laugh at how tame these silly plays are. Nothing in any of these plays is that bad at all, it’s child’s play compared to 70’s hockey not even close to be rough
Just because it’s not 70s hockey nothing matters? What would be a call that “matters” to you?
It's not the 70's anymore old man... the people from the 70's may laugh at some of the penalties for suspensions, the game is x100000000 faster than it ever was back then, in turn you have to protect the players. BTW these same people from the 70's didn't wear helmets and about 99% wouldn't be able to play in today's game. Hockey is the best is has ever been... if you don't like it throw your Don Cherry rock em sock em VHS tapes in and enjoy
Don't watch it then...pretty simple. It's a free world. 😊
Just because a team is penalized doesnt mean dirty plays are being caught. There are plenty of uncalled dirty hits.
I understand people generally want to paint Kane as a villain and dirty player but this is not one of those plays. Ian Cole initiates contact and you can clearly see his movement in the video. Kane does not change his trajectory at all but as the puck is played you can see Ian Cole stop skating backwards and shift his weight towards the puck. This small pivot puts him directly on a collision course with Kane. On top of that there is not extension of the elbow either. I don't think any Canucks players thought this was a dirty hit or head shot. They all watched it happen and continued playing. The players reactions tell the story.
I'm thinking it's incidental at worst? Or should I take a closer look. Did you notice something?
Watch Kanes left arm.
he targets the head and then drives through it with his left arm. That dismisses any chance it couldve been accidental. Just because he wasnt looking directly at his target doesnt mean he wasnt aware of exactly where that target was.
@@bangyahead1 Ah, I see where you might say that. We'll see if it's worthy of a Tough Call Review!
Cole stopped right in front of Kane, he put on the breaks; while Kane skated through him.
If this is a penalty, it would be so easy to draw penalties.
Could have been avoided. The only things he didn't do was lean in with the shoulder and jump. Everything else seemed there.
Baaahaaha.....nice 👊
Dooshers gonna doosh.
Doesn't matter the games basically over
It matter the next game if there is a suspension involved, and there should be.
@@bangyahead1 Hockey fans and players would laugh hysterically if they heard you call this play “dirty”. Nothing that happens in modern hockey is dirty compared to 70’s or 80’s hockey. They use to do even worse hits with no calls, bring that back
I'm no Kane fan, but Cole stops right in front of him. Without that move Kane glides by.
Wow, a defenceman stopping in front of his net and then starting to reach for the puck. That was unexpected!!! (not to mention previous comments about the elbow and M.O. of Kane)
1
LOL - did you loose it now? Cole changes to hit and stops in front of a train.
Yeah I think that elbow came up as a natural reaction to fend off the other player. Nothing mean or no evidence in my opinion of anything sinister here.
Kanes motto is
FA&FO
don’t mess with Kane..
Just a collision without intent - happens all the time even in beer league hockey
Bye Euronuks...I mean Canucks
CLearly that is interference. Targeting the head and driving through it..... 5 minutes and a gamer, plus a player safety hearing and suspension. Anything less and the department of player safety is exposed for biased/favoritism. Kane has prior history. That should be at least 4 games... maybe 10 but I dont remmeber all of his history.... With him 10 might be the minimum because of his history.
dirty... so normal for kane. I hate that the NHL is going back to endorsing dirty play, to many great players had their careers shortened by dirty shots and here we are heading back down that road.
🤣you want justice for every little thing done to the Cucks🤣
But when they dish it out,it’s all good🤣🤣🤣
Try again next year 🫡
Not sure I totally agree they're endorsing dirty plays, but if Kane had been suspended for his earlier slew foot on Hughes who then crashed into the boards, he wouldn't have been in the game.
@@jaykrahn6087 Ill admit I know less of the west's series, but the panthers have gotten away with murder. not as bad as the scott stevens days but in my opinion they are trending in the wrong direction.
Dallas vs Oilers should be fun. Two dirty teams taking cheap shots at each other
Typical canucklehead , Vancouver is one of the dirtiest teams this year and you know it 🤡
LMFAO Dallas, Dirty? Now I have truly heard it all. FFS NPC's are everywhere, CZcams really should do something about it

Please.
Dallas had the least penalty minutes this season. The team with the most minutes was Anaheim with 1108. Dallas had half that.
And the Oilers were pretty average with how many penalties they took.
Dirty just like Alberta
womp womp 😂
