Just got done going through a 4.8 and i was lazy and left my exhaust like this...no cats with a straight pipe to a resonator. I hate the clap noise it gives in low and mid range, but I feel like Dale earnhardt when I hit a downshift lol.
Everybody talkin like it sounds so crappy. Dude, I regret putting a catless flowmaster on my 5.0 F-150. I'd rather have straight pipes than the damn Flowmaster.
Ya when my dad gave me my truck and when the mufflers fell off he said let’s cut the muffler off and he said let’s go to the muffler shop and a day later we came back to the muffler shop and he said this is what angles sound like he said there’s no cats on the truck this is what angles sound like it was completely clapped out
You'd have to expand the stock headers and upgrade the distributor, remove all those cats and resonators. Replaced with down pipes with o2 sensors so the PO codes don't pop up. Not to hard of a task other than dropping the headers but the exhaust shops can take care of it for you. Shouldn't be too much wiggling and if you diy you can start it up at your house and get an idea what it'll sound like lol
Go to the junkyard cut a factory Silverado y pipe and the flange where it goes to single 3 inch and weld it to the y pipe bolt it to the factory y pipe on your truck and run dual exhaust, bam simple cheap x pipe it works great makes power and sounds great it’s what I did on my 03 longbed
That thing is clapped lmao sounds like a helicopter
You should hear one that has a true dual and cats gutted
@@jayceshaw8877that’s what that is.

Don’t understand why ppl think this sounds good. It’s clapped, literally
All the Huey-sounding Silverados/Sierras are mostly from the 1999-2006 Gen, too. Epic. Also, both are so much better than Ford and Dodge combined.
Sounds like a Jake break lol
Needs super 10s would sound amazing w that but it still sounds good mufflers will give it deeper tone
When your exhaust is clapping that hard you know your life is on track
LOL
clap city
Long tube headers or just the stock ones?
What size piping?
sounds like a WW1 fighter plane
lol
What size piping

It's just the tips.
It wouldn't be clappy without the tips.
Flapper jacker right there I reckon

Mmmmmm the perfect exhaust. Nothing like it
Still have the same opinion? Once you get older you usually go quieter
Is this possible with a 4.3L Vortec V6?

But why ... in ryan Reynolds voice
I hate this sound😂
It's literally just the tips.
Why do people like the clap?
🔥🔥🔥
That thing is the biggest pile of sh*t I’ve ever heard, glad this isn’t my truck
Music to my ears
