    My last four Mazdas were built in Japan and pre-pandemic. Flawless, each one, aside from thin/fragile paint. This one, seems to be a double whammy being built in Alabama and post-pandemic.

    • @thweepz
      @thweepz  Před 6 měsíci +4

      I absolutely love the cx50. Although with the suspension upgrades and steering software update it may be a little less engaging with the newer models. If you’re looking for more cabin room and transporting others the cx5 might be better. The 50 is a little tighter from observation but it’s also a little heavier duty than the cx5. It just depends on what you’re seeking

      @@thweepz well, it's for a family car to replace my 2door civic with something that is great to carry my soon-arriving baby (so rear facing seat) and enough room for the stroller and other things needed. The Cx-50 has a bit better legroom (thus more room for the rear facing seats) and much more usable cargo space hence why I was going for it over the cx-5. Always beware the first model year of a new model or the first year of a major redesign. From a quality brand like Mazda it's usually not a big deal. But those years are way more likely to have issues. Mazda already made several production changes and specification changes in the 2024 CX-50. One other thing, I hate to say it, but the CX-50 is built in Alabama, USA (in a plant shared with Toyota - the Corolla Cross is also made there, and has also had some quality issues unusual for Toyota). The Mazda models still manufactured in Japan tend to have a higher quality standard.

    My '24 was made in Nov 23 and have a major issue with the windshield. It's super warped making everything have a circus mirror effect as well as make all oncoming headlights have a double vision affect from day one. Mazda acknowledged it and waiting on the backordered replacement. It's definitely a safety hazard as my eyes get super fatigued after driving for 30 mins, and head nausea after a 2 hour drive. Funny thing is the driver side mirror has the same effect at the inside edge, i guess from the uneven laminate of the auto dim mirror...

      It’s def a very picky review but for a new car you shouldn’t have gaps and misaligned panels and then preach it’s better quality than what you’re driving, which mine was a 2023 CX50 I was leasing. However, the speaker issue did resolve after a reset and connection but they did tighten some stuff in the door since things were rattling around
