Absolutely Beautiful Capture - Those who want to hear Kolkata's own ambient sound now may satisfy, other than here only one CZcamsr of Kolkata (I salute him) dare to put his camera outside of the car but he captures his own vehicle sound plus his camera position is very low. Anyhow Camera position is excellent - By judging the hight and the colour my guess is it's Blue TATA Nexon or Blue Suzuki Breza.

Some people are saying the CBD looks run down...Kolkata is a dying City..etc. Boss this is the OLD CBD of Kolkata..businesses are shifting their offices from here to newer parts like New Town and Salt Lake Sector V..hence no takers for commerical real estate here..
I guess the State Govt should clean up the footpaths from Hawkers, refurbish the run down building or sell them to Developers.. This Old CBD along the river side view of Strand Road has a great potential to be good commerical/business district in the future. Hopefully the East West Metro corridor gets fully operational by next year..that way both the old CBD and the new CBDs of Kolkata along with Sealdah and Howrah Stations are connected..

except mumbai and to some extend pune many cities in india do not have kerbs and if they have they seems to be completely taken over by hawkers like i see in this video in some major roads there seems to be total absence of kerbs or foot paths
I do agree with this. But truely speaking government can't do anything, they have unions and backed by many parties. No one wants a protest of hawkers. That's why in new areas they are allowed from the beginning
