Love the videos man. I have to get my onefinity put together so I can make some stuff. I want to try and make a car for a toddler out of plywood. I think it is definitely doable with the cnc. Would love to see your take on something like that. All wood except for the rubber tires so it rolls better and is more comfortable

Thanks for watching! Building a plywood car for a toddler on a CNC sounds like a fun project. Adding rubber tires for better rolling and comfort is a great idea. We will add the toddler car to our project list.

Maybe if you reinforce it with a flat steel bar it get stronger?
    Congrats for the project

Thank you for the idea! The steel bar would make the bar component stronger. However, the bar made from 12 mm (0.5'') ply is strong enough for the clamps to be rigid and function well.

It may not look as nice but would it not be better to glue the sandpaper to the bar component so you can replace it more easily. Also if you use something like belt sander belt instead of sandpaper it would last a lot longer. Anything cloth based really.

      Thank you for the suggestions!
We did consider gluing the sandpaper on the bar component, but the clamps wouldn't look as good.
That's true - the belt sandpaper would last longer. We were also considering using rubber stickers, but the sandpaper seemed to be a more suitable option since everyone already has sandpaper at their shop, and it wouldn't add any additional cost when building the clamps.
