When you've been together that long that tends to happen. I'm proud of Russell n Nina, they're just like my wife and myself. We've been together since we were 18 and now 2 decades later, we're still at it. I think i know each and every struggle they went through. While I'm no athlete or whatever my job do have me leaving for months at a time sometimes so i get everything that's being said here because I've gone through it. Don't know if they'll ever read this but I've got love for yall "Westbrooks"
Their relationship is so inspiring! Hope to have a marriage like that one day.

I really enjoyed your interview with Russell and Nina they have stood the test of time and have a beautiful relationship. I hope and pray that Russell does not listen to the outside noise because those who speak and have spoken foolish things cannot hold a candle to what he has accomplished. I always keep in mind what my mother told me when I was young and now I am closing in on 62. She said what you think of yourself is what really matters, and not what people who don’t know you say. Most importantly is what God says about you, which is we are fearfully and Wonderfully made.
25:13 to 26:36 deepest thing she said and I can so relate. Taking on to much of your partners stuff is emotionally draining so set those boundaries early because it can destroy your relationship.
i think it just needs to be a different perspective on it. turn it positive and not a negative or chore

People kinda laughed over that discussion at the end but that was the realest part to me. I'm many nba couples experience that struggle. Being away & so locked into the game & missing so much of the family routine..then having to pivot & adjust after the season to get back in the mix...only to start back up again as the next season rolls around. I know it's not as smooth as mostvwould like yo think.

She flipped it to HER perspective, the System she established around his contractual obligations & preparation to meet those obligations, but his perspective was simple; he appreciates a night or 3 away to recharge his dad & husband batteries.😂
Women don't get it. They'll dump so much on you that you'll lose track of your schedule, and they do it because your schedule is your schedule, but home is home & they've got home set up to function their way. We ultimately encroach on their territory because to men home is home, we are the King, and We Are The System in our Kingdom. It's the simple truth. They plan around the kids & themselves, then work us in; especially when work keeps us away. We tend to have a schedule for us, and we're very spontaneous with our children; utterly destroying a woman's set up, timing, appointments, and plans in general. If we want to take the kids to the park at 8am, we do it, and mom might've planned something at 9 or 10am! Then there's the added playfulness = chaos on mom's normal Quiet Time.😂😂😂
It's all innocent, ladies. Men are genuinely happy to have time to burn with the babies, since work hours severely limit our free time. Mom ain't trying to hear it because you got her whole house & life out of whack, just like that!!! Injecting far too many variables where none outside of emergency exists!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
