(No pun intended)

Had they started the Amazing Spider-Man films with Him in College it would've solved a lot of issues.

I'm so glad people are finally accepting andrew garfield as a good spiderman. Hes always been my favorite, tobey is a close second though
He is a good spiderman but he's very underrated

I remember watching The Amazing Spiderman and liking Garfield's version of him. I always thought of Spiderman as a wisecracking jerk that grows into the hero role. But apparently he's the one alot of people don't like. But it's whatever, different for everyone.
Spider-Man not only wisecrack and annoys his enemies but he'll straight up roast them just to throw them off their game which is why I like Andrew's Spider-Man too. I can let his hipster Peter Parker slide because he does show knowledge in science and tech but it's still more accurate than Tom's iron boy jr who only wants to impress Mr. Stark, gets everything handed to him and suffers little consequences for his actions.
Taking Peter Parke's struggles is like taking away Steve Rogers moral dilemmas
But they didn't take them away lol, it's the opposite
@@NUKCYNDv ??? He is the most privileged spiderman ever he had everything handed to his ass on a silver platter and even then before his life with aunt may was financially stable
@@trinity9708 Ehh, nope; you are right on the financial thing, but he had a lot of struggles(He is not privileged at all); the death of Iron Man, he literally died, he doesn't know how to be responsible, he doesn't know how to deal with a double life, he doesn't how to be a hero, he doesn't know how to live with all that pressure, etc
@@NUKCYNDv he doesn’t need to know how to live a double life because everyone he loves knows and supports his double life, tony handed him stark industries on a silver platter
Spiderman DOES now how to be responsible it’s kind of his thing and this peter is just a happy go lucky kid who gave the glasses his mentor gave him to a guy he knew for 2 days everything peter does goes good for him, he gets the hot chicks without struggle he goes to a super genius school where everyone loves him and even his bully gets bullied for being a loser everything is handed to this kid, he is not spiderman

@@PeterParker-iy4vs merry Christmas too Peter!.
For me.
Andrew garfield is the most accurate. The suits, the jokes, the struggles, nerd, realistic, but a little bit cool Peter. But still the most accurate for me. Though bad story because of weird/akward electro and green goblin with the death of gwen stacy. The healthy relationship between Peter and gwen is a great twist. Mj is the best for me but if they didn't kill gwen, I'd stick with her.
Tobey is the same also. But he's more nerdy and less jokes. And has really toxic relationship with mj. But still a accurate and great spiderman.
Tom Holland is a great actor. But the accuracy is just meh. I was really excited about his movie when it first came out. But after watching it and the sequels. It's boring. I don't know men, it doesn't feel like spiderman. He's more like a "what if". What if spider man became Tony stark's sidekick.
Overall. The best spiderman is still the one from the Ps4 and the spider verse.
Ahh yes the jokes when in TASM2 it's resulting in people dying WHAT A HERO
Idk if you ever read the comics but peter had a toxic relationship with MJ before the got married in '75 (? Can't remember correctly). Tbh the best Spiderman title belongs to 2 versions: Spectacular spiderman and Miles Morales from Into the spider verse
Really there's no "most accurate" version of spiderman in movies bc they all had parts of the character just wrong lemme run down the flaws in each version of spiderman:
Tobey is too much of a loser as spiderman. Peter Parker is supposed to be a loser even after becoming spiderman but Tobey idk had no confidence. Also everybody forgets Tobey punched flash. thats inexcusable. Major flaw right there. Less jokes no quips. Great peter Parker, even tho he took it to the extreme he's still prolly the best? Not a good spiderman tho
Garfield had the best quips hands down. But his spiderman is really stupid, ESPECIALLY in the origin. He becomes Spiderman for revenge and let's criminals go bc they aren't his uncle's killer. It takes him over half of the movie to save someone and realize "oh i should save people". Comic book Spiderman always had in him to save people. He went after Ben's killer yeah but not as a vigilante like Garfield's spiderman did. The most comic book accurate "revenge seeking" peter Parker was Tobey's. Also in that first scene of Amazing spiderman he makes jokes and lets rhino plow through the city which let's be honest prolly killed people. Like he had a whole knock knock joke. Horrible character writing. Peter showing off his powers in HS was stupid. In the comics he thought Abt it but never did anything. garfield is the best actor out of everyone tho! Just ruined by stupid writing
Lastly Holland
The video explained everything basically he gets everything handed to him. even his own suit is handed to him. Actually that goes against peter Parker from comics that eventually gave up the iron spider bc it was to us not his
@@carrot7215 Tobey is more accurate then your suggesting also Tom getting giving everything... I swear to god people never watched those movies and make up stuff
@@raidoukuzonoha883 no. Tobey had the most dialed down version of Spiderman, and the most extreme version of peter Parker. Garfield had the most dialed down version of peter Parker but the most extreme spiderman. Holland met in the middle but had the worst spiderman world and supporting cast ever. Like come on they kinda went opposite of what peter is. All three Spidermen have issues that balance themselves out. You can't say Tobey's better because his spiderman is the worst of the three. You can't say Garfield's spidey is better bc his peter is the worst. You can't say Holland is the best bc he has the worst writing and motivation of the three. As well as the worst world/supporting cast
Tobey had many issues just remove your nostalgia goggles and see for yourself. He took the awkward part to the extreme. Comics peter was never THAT awkward. He is so awkward that his spiderman lacks any confidence and quips that MAKES SPIDERMAN. He was a good peter Parker that did what other iterations didn't do and showed his desire to help others and that peter Parker was always a good hearted person. That doesn't excuse all his flaws tho. Doesn't excuse the fact that this spiderman has near zero quips, doesn't excuse the power inconsistency from this spiderman, doesn't excuse bad acting either. Doesn't excuse the fact that he fought flash. He punched flash. We got great memes tho!
Also i grew up on the trilogy and watch spiderman 2 almost every other week. I can recite dialogue from the first 5 minutes of the first movie perfectly from how much i watched it. Again I'm just not biased.

Honestly, Garfield's version is the most comic accurate. Peter is a jackass when he first started out as spiderman in the comics. He literally said "The world can hang for all I care." So Garfield is a great Peter Parker and a great Spiderman
I agree. From the last 3 spiderman reboots Garfield is the most accurate, also director Mark Webb did an excellent job and the writers, for the quality jokes and story.
@Clown_prince_of_Carnage Hudson I really hope actors do not get too old for spider-verse movie which

where as tobey is the most accurate peter parker with all of his struggle with life and taking on his responsibility on being spiderman even though tobey's spiderman can be a asshole as well remember when he let the robber get away with the money and is one of the reasons why uncle ben died by the hands of sandman by accident.
@Clown_prince_of_Carnage Hudson i see but overall.
andrew - spiderman
tobey - peter parker
tom - iron boy jr
@Clown_prince_of_Carnage Hudson very well said mate.
Watching this after No Way Home, it’s like Marvel knew that MCU Spider-Man wasn’t the real Spider-Man, so they set out to fix him in the most perfect way possible
That why they had to fan change some things to MCU spiderman like a comic accurate suit, no one knows who Peter parker is as spiderman and now he's alone
It was planned. If you watch interviews with Jon Watts and even their recent video, it proves that this was all planned. Jon Watts even said back in 2017 that he lowered the stakes and consequences in the first films because he wanted them to be fun at first, therefore meaning he was saving this for Spider-Man 3..all of this was planned.
not really.
so THAT is why tom holland still feels like spider-man despite not being a very accurate Peter at all. he's like miles' spider-man.
Even in the Joker they still did the Bruce Wayne parents getting killed.

The version with Tobey is the most accurate, it isn't even a competition, Tobey has blue eyes and the appearance of the comic character. MJ being a redhead played by Dunst is accurate to the real comic character, even Jameson looks ridiculously like the real comic character. The first spiderman movie with Tobey Maguire probably will never be beaten in how realistic it is towards the lore and even appearance of the comics. MCU itself isn't really accurate with anything, plus it's owned by Disney, it's mostly just about cracking culture related jokes and trying to be inclusive to various peoples to attempt to expand it's market reach. MCU is essentially like a business model, where as Tobey Maguire's spiderman was a true movie trying to make a live action version of Marvel's spiderman.
Yeah, can’t argue with this.

Agreed. It always annoys me when people claim that Tom is the most comic accurate Spider-Man just because he interacts with the Avengers, looks like a high schooler, and makes jokes...Spider-Man isn't tied down by the Avengers and there's a lot more to his character then just being a high schooler and cracking a few Jokes.

One of the most iconic aspects of Spider-man, and the reason why the 90's cartoon and Spectacular are my favorite versions, is that he's very well-spoken. Of course voice actors have the advantage there, given that they have to rely entirely on their voice and articulation, but still. Spider-man doesn't just "talk a lot". He's witty, and intelligent. He has a way with words. When he battles supervillains, he always has the upper hand verbally, and that's why the villain always gets pissed off. Not only because Spidey mocks them, but because he does it so well. It makes the villain feel smaller. Just like when a stand-up comedian schools a heckler, and the heckler feels embarrassed.
The MCU Spider-man's dialogue is kinda dull. "Hey, suit-lady". "That's awesome". And bunch more "that's awesome". The few actual quips he says are pretty weak. "Hey, Big Bird", etc
I agree
That's an awesome comment.
Also... This is a really good point.

When Tom was introduced in Civil War, I was super excited for his version of Spidey. That was a great representation of the character on screen in my opinion, and it was exactly what I wanted out of a performance of Spider-Man.
But then in every subsequent movie, he’s just gotten less and less interesting as a character, and if anything more frustrating to watch as he strays further away from the character of Spidey. Even in Infinity War he was handled a lot better than in his solo films, but I’d put that down to the Russo brothers having a better understanding of the character and wanting to make a traditional version of him, hence their great set up of him in civil war which was shortly ruined by Homecoming. Far From Home was the closest we got, but that was still so far out (no pun intended).
Hopefully in the new film he’ll be more on his way to becoming a more accurate depiction of the character. I’m hoping him meeting Tobey and Andrew’s spider-men will help him to understand what it takes to be a real one, and then hopefully for his next trilogy he’ll be a lot more of what we want from Spider-Man!

The death of Spider-Man & Batman's parental figures are integral to the characters philosophy and it undercuts the emotions of the audience when they are absent. These deaths are the moments that these characters realize that they can't be children no more and that they must protect the things they love. But then in Homecoming he got scared of some random robber when he slammed car trunk shut? He desperately tries to prove himself to Tony and go on some major mission, when it was ESTABLISHED he wants to fight for random joe and keep the streets safe.

I fucking LOVED that knife scene in TAS 😂 "my one weakness: small knives" lolol so funny...
Well after no way home he's definitely comic accurate now. Glad they fixed it.
Sony fixed him. Not MCU
I always said that Tom Holland’s spider-man should be a spider-man from an alternate universe. Thats how i look at it
It is already though
But do you want this to be main stream no then that’s the point in criticism
Me too Andrew Garfield's Spider-man was meant to be the normal Spider-man and Tom's Spider-man was meant to be from the Spider Verse it looks like The Amazing Spider-man and the Spectacular Spider-man were switched from their Universe.
Peter B Parker : What makes you different is what makes you Spiderman
MCU : We don't do that here.
But the whole time, he was explaining why MCU spider is different
@@raichu753siordia2 exactly xD
1:13 Man This Was More Emotional Than Tony Stark Death Effecting Spider-Man.
Here after NWH and couldn’t be happier with the ending. They had to make a lot of changes to the character to fit him into the established universe that was building towards endgame and they did a great job with it. Now hopefully this fresh start can lead to a more accurate portrayal of Spider-Man that is fresh out of high school trying to make it on his own.
The amazing Spiderman is my favorite Spider-Man
Jayce Cornell I agree with that comment 100 percent
Yee i love amazing spiderman.
Same here brother! To me Andrew was the perfect representation of the character. exactly how I wanted him to be in live action
Toby Maguire is the only spidy I need
Then your only gonna have three live action Spider-man movies that's all
@@crimsonspyder2388 ?
@@corue Well I meant that if Tobey was the only Spider-man he needs, then he only needs three movies because that's all Tobey has as Spider-man
@Tobey is the best 2000 Okay I'm not gonna argue against you or change your opinion about Tom being iron boy jr but not all good things come in three like how rami's spiderman should've ended at the second movie but then we got third movie which was fucking terrible
@@crimsonspyder2388 How was the third movie terrible exactly?
These are the things i heard whenever someone asks this question
1. "3 villains? Omg wtf??!? Thats too much they didnt build up the villains at all! Its a mess and a shit show"
Okay, 3 villains is a lot, dont get me wrong, but they DID build up those characters and made them good villains.
Harry got 2 movies prior to 3 where he got his character development and how he started becoming a villain, they just ended his arc in season 3.
They also did build up eddie brock, he was jealous of peter and was suspicious of him cause he got all the best pics of spiderman, and then when the symbiote fell on him he became even more corrupted cause of the symbiote and decided to kill peter using his newfound powers.
Sandman was also a great villain, we were shown his backstory and motives and how he got his powers. He did all he did for his daughter (this doesnt justify his actions tho), and regarding his powers, a lot of people said how stupid the scientists were for not checking first, and to that i say well imagine working overtime very late into the night you too couldnt be bothered to check, plus this was how he got his powers in the comics aswell so..
Every villains arc was started and ended perfectly, and it honestly didnt feel rushed. (If you'd like to argue otherwise, by all means go ahead im interested in what u think)
2. "Ew wtf why is peter acting all annoying, they didnt explain that at all! They failed to show us how the symbiote corrupted his mind, and made us feel like he became a jerk cause he likes his new suit and thinks its cool"
They didnt fail to do that tho, it was all very obvious, peter is a nice dude and always was nice until he started wearing the symbiote suit, where he started acting more like a villain than a hero, and only when he took it off after realizing what its doing to him, he became normal again and when the symbiotes fell on eddie man became full on evil, if that doesnt explain it enough for you than idk what will.
3. "Organic webbing is just a stupid idea"
Lets put aside that there was a version of spiderman in the comics with organic webbing, i think its a really cool idea to show us how the spider really affected peter, artifical webbing is cool and all but it just makes u think anyone can be spiderman if they stole those web devices. Like take captain america for example hes agile and pretty strong, give him web shooters (and if youre one of the people that believe peter puts a sticky substance on his suit so he can stick to walls after wearing it) and a spiderman suit and thats it he's spiderman.
I think sam raimeis spiderman trilogy really shows us the negatives of being spiderman aswell as the positives. Neither of the other reboots showed us the actual hardships, other than 'oh i cant go to prom cause im spiderman :((('.
Anyways im open for debating if youd like
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO
Just came back from No Way Home. You'll definitely see Tom's Spider-Man in a much more positive light after watching it.

Comic book Peter Parker: isn't in high school for the vast majority of his history, not even in most of the original Stan Lee run.
He's trash, Andrew did way better. The acting alone by Andrew eclipses that of Tom's
Facts!! 💯
True
Hey hey Tobey, Andrew, Tom are great actors... They put their 100% into their roles
@@LokeshKumar-zc8mv Tom is a great actor true but it's just his Spider-Man character that is completely TRASH
@@Mozfu yes.... You are goddamn right! (heisenberg)
Maybe he's a less accurate comic version, but honestly I found his movies the most entertaining, and that for me is alright, even if he ain't exactly the comic book accurate version....just my view.
See every time I comment something like that people like attack me for not caring if it’s not that comic book accurate
I got recommended this after watching a video full of people saying he's the best and most accurate spiderman, and I'm thankful for that. It's always good to hear both sides of an argument.
Iron Man's Robin! 😂😂😂😂 Nailed it!
It’s the other way around, the avengers have asked spidey to join their team multiple times and he’s turned them down bc he likes working alone and just isn’t that big of a fan of them, (other then when Bendis had him join which wasn’t the best move but still) he doesn’t wanna be on a team, he wants to keep to himself, he’s the Everyman hero
Oh yeah he did turn them down 🤔
He did but Tony made him an avenger
I personally loved all 3 and never thought of one being better than the other. The majority of movie adaptations aren't completely identical they've always took parts while adding the writers or directors own little twist. To this day I can rewatch any of the 3 and still enjoy it. If I need a 100% comic accurate story I'll just read whichever comic again and use my creative mind to play it out while reading. That's always been pretty easy for me to do while reading something I'm truly interested in
This is spot on. Great job!
To be honest, I want peter parker in the MCU, not miles morales with the name and looks of peter.
He doesn't even need to be in the MCU anyway. The MCU is just overrated they ruined spiderman I just want to see spiderman out of the MCU and doing his own movies.
@ZAP GAMERZ what
Last part destroyed Tom Holland in seconds
Toms Spider-Man doesn’t feel like Spider-Man at all….
Tobey Maguire is the best spiderman of all time.
Agreed
@@Ihadsexwiththecommentaboveme ooh sorry forgot, yeah he's the best spiderman 👌
if we count all adaptations of spiderman then spectacular spider-man or ps4 spiderman are the best

Tom holland destroyed spiderman
Toby was the best
This video should get more views honestly. Everything he said in this video is so true. I really hope the MCU can do a better job in the future with Spider Man!
Honestly, I think The amazing Spiderman was the best one! Ik there were a lot of negatives, but you gotta admit, the storytelling, action and the character just nails it.
THANK YOU your one of the first youtubers to talk about it
Was I the only one who liked Andrew and Tobey's Spider-Man?
No. Toby is the best and I’m not the only one
Me too, like Toby and Andrew. Tom is cringe
@@pentagon141 agree 100%
I like all 3 of them
nope Andrews the goat
Homecoming was worse then spider-man 3
I like the fact that the spider bites gives him all the powers like Tobey it shows that not everyone can just develop some web shooters
Ironman Jr, Irresponsible, no motivations or good intentions, all the side characters are changed for the sake of being different. The list goes on....
You know what was also different but keep the core elements of the characters, the PS4 game, changes all the characters but they are all the same still, perfect example mj she may be annoying as a reporter but her character is exactly as it should be
@@ATalesTruth- EXACTLY unlike Ironman Jr
24 7 I agree the web swinging isn’t as free as web of shadows, but the combat is at least better then TASM games, and it’s better then sm 3, ultimate, EOT, it’s not near shattered dimensions or web of shadows but remember most of that stuff was repetitive more so then PS4 and I was talking about gameplay I was talking about the story and universe
24 7 that’s why there is such thing as objective quality, but for example Minecraft is loved by most people because of the mechanics not the graphics but they go hand in hand
Sony : we want our hero back
MCU: take this money and shut up your mouth
Fans : we want our Tobey Maguire back 🙄😒😥
It’s obvious your one of the people who grew up with old Spider-Man and your crying because they did something new. It’s way better then the old plain and boring performances and out-dated animation. Spider-Man makes jokes all the times in the comics, he’s serious when he needs to be. Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man.
TheBeaverInHD so I take it you’re biased about Tom/miles Morales ok well uh miles morales 3 is coming out soon
@Standard Yip I mean not really. I still like Toby Spider-Man, I grew up with it too. I just like an energetic performance over a boring one.
@Standard Yip So I take it your biased about Toby/Andrew/ultimate boring performance ok well ultimate boring performance sequels is coming ou-Oh wait...
TheBeaverInHD dang what you so pressed about I’m actually happy to enjoy 3 amazing movies of Tobey but like go off I guess
I never really looked at Tom as being “comic accurate” but more like “MCU accurate” or idk what I would imagine he would be like growing up in a world where there is already Preestablished heroes and conflicts, and coming into that would mean either complete chance, or brought in by an avenger. Then he’s a kid that was erased from existence for 5 years… he hasn’t even had that much time to practice if we’re being honest here. And the whole Stark jr thing makes sense and other than Far From home dragging it out a bit more Homecoming was Peter’s breaking away moment. I think coming in the future Tom’s Spider-Man is going to continue to grow and be more impressive as time goes on. I personally loved the Amazing Spider-Man 1-2 if they could just get Tom better swinging scenes and better Spider-Man acrobatics and movements around the scene that would be lovely.
*Jayce after NWH:* Perhaps I treated you too harshly.
Imagine saying something is comic accurate when you don’t even read the comics.
Personally, I always hated how Tom's Spider-Man fought. Quite the reason I can't get into it. It gets better with Garfield then Far from home fights was so much better. Am I the only one who felt that?
But in drama, it gets worst. I do agree that MCU is Miles Morales instead of Peter Parker.
Wait till he watches NWH…..
Not anymore
This is all 100% true. TM was the best SM.
Toby McGuire spiderman had the best character development
bro is gonna be rolling after seeing this one
After No Way Home. Now Tom Holland feels like Spiderman.
Jeez i don't understand people this days.
When mcu recreates uncle ben and Everything all over again its just exhausting.. honestly we don't need the most "accurate spiderman".. i mean "organic web" is accurate?? And going to be "comic accurate" will be just predictable as gwen dying in tasm2.
Agreed i mean everything doesn't need to be comic accurate i mean look what they did with thor! Everyone loved it when they changed it.
Changing isn't always bad and ORIGINAL ISN'T always THE BEST!
I agree with your statement that it doesn't need to be comic accurate but I still can't help but feel like MCU's spiderman feels. off it doesn't feel. like. spiderman at all spiderman ps4 did way better potrayal of peter and spiderman
I think it's because I always view spiderman as a independent and struggling hero who's doing what he's doing because of regret and a promise to his late uncle ben
and seeing it being changed like how he's now a kid who looks up to Ironman and wants to be Spiderman to be just like him..
Change is good and all but that took away spiderman's charm
because right now mcu spiderman feels like any normal teenager when they have a spiderman's power it lacks the peter parker's with great power comes great responsibility thinking that keeps him going as spiderman.
@@mikureyes7179 i kinda feel that too in the first movie. But it kinda fades in for me in ffh..maybe they can fix this in the 3rd film?
@@dij-rin4499 Yeah I was kinda hoping that realization peter will feel that with great power comes great responsibility I mean tom. holland really nailed the teen spiderman but the script tho..smh Take away the following on ironman's footsteps and focus more on his responsibility and bam the perfect potryal of spiderman
they got the right actor,im fine with the non comic book accurate characters+ if they just got the whole purpose of why peter is spiderman that way this will feel more like spiderman and not iron man jr I just wish they went this route
@@mikureyes7179 i really hope mcu makes spider verse then tom sees Andrew and tobey being independent realising he needs to step up and be like them
