I used to be a big fan of Banksy till i found out he stole most of his ideas from Blek le rat. If he got inspiration but did something original of his own that would've been great. No problem, but it seems like he steals the design and just puts a quote over it.
You do realize that both Blek and Banksy have wanted to collab together for a while now, Blek also added to a Banksy mural in San Francisco. While Blek was pissed that his rat image was being used, and banksy’s style is similar to his. that’s the name of the game when it comes to street art and not even The Godfather of stencils is safe from that. There’s stealing and dogging everywhere. Banksy even sated that, “Every time I think I've painted something slightly original, I find out that Blek Le Rat has done it as well. Only twenty years earlier". I looked at both artists and it’s only they style that “copied” if you want to even call it that, to me it seems like an homage to the original artist style. And Blek’s work is not if at all political. If I was Blek I personally would be honored that my work inspired such an incredible artist but I still understand why he’s pissed to. In the end, all art is temporary and being pissed at a street artist isn’t new.
@@Mark-hn1si and Picasso stole his idea for cubism from African tribal masks which makes Banksy’s quote even more hysterical. Every artist steals dude, nothing is original anymore. Art is temporary and that’s the point.
Daisy Miss-Misty ummm you know he “free hand” drew that stencil right ? He uses that so he can be in and out of the place he’s painting before being seen.
He doesn't have the luxury of time that's why he was it doing in the night so he can get out of the place immediately and cover-up his identity. It's illegal to do graffiti you know? especially if you have a political statement. I just hope you have half of his imagination to spread good thoughts to society. Ride on?
