I mean , technically it’s possible, but I wouldn’t trust one. But a robot could help a plumber carry a toilet or a tub. I will never trust a robot with water pressure , fire, or electricity.

I hope people understand AI lives in a different state of growth than humans and it has hit exponential growth already. We don’t have years anymore we have months before AI becomes a problem for people.

@@L2-tz8qr 20 or 30 years. Maybe even closer than you think. I think you are comparing AI’s growth in relation to the progress of the internet which was in its infancy 20+ years ago. This technology is growing exponentially. We’ll just have to wait and prepare for whatever comes. Because it is coming faster than how the internet grew over time. Sophisticated AI has been around for over a decade, it’s only now in the public conscience, because of recent LLM like ChatGPT displaying its capabilities.

In the near term, A.i will help humans be more efficient while replacing some. But soon, A.i will evolve into AGi and fully replace humans overall in the long term, maybe 10 years. Right now, it's still a baby, but it's growing fast...

Not yet, it isn't thinking it's applying an algorithm. A sophisticated one that uses a ton of computation and fools people into thinking it is thinking but it isn't. We don't really have thinking ai yet, chatgpt is only an llm.

AI has already reached exponential growth. This is the first time people are going to see in real time what that means. We don’t have 10 years, we have maybe 3 years at best before AI becomes a problem, probably less than that even.

AI will not replace all human jobs but definitely will take away majority of human jobs by the end of this decade. However the good news is that the enormous productivity potential of AI technology in the production of goods and services will enable the Government to provide an equitable amount of UBI and make it a blessing in disguise for everyone if there is a political will to do so.

That's dangerous thinking. It seems as though You are quite defensive about this threat. We need to willing and able to adapt to this technology. Whether we like it or not, the amount of money pouring into this technology is unfathomable. It's only a matter of time. Hopefully we can cultivate a world with less disease less war and less poverty. That's what I would hope for, not the world burning
