You shouldn't forget he entered F1 at the age of 17. He made mistakes others made in F4 to F2. But that gives him an incredible amount of experience at his age. He has outgrown the nickname Crashtappen an he is one of the most consistent drivers at the grid.

Anyone saying lucky is petty as hell. Max has the highest percentage of DNFs of the current drivers while only 7 were his own fault. Futhermore he was incredibly unlucky last season and would have won the championship way sooner if he didn’t have so much bad luck. Max is a raw talent and has made the sport a lot more exciting ever since he stepped foot back in 2015

Since Ayrton Senna, Max is probably the most naturally talented and skilled driver I’ve seen since.
Schumi was almost machine-like perfect every lap, Alonso was skilled, courageous and fast, Lewis was absolutely phenomenal in his first 2yrs in F1 but then his career tapered away for 5yrs but Max is just different gravy - his almost Senna and Schumi in 1!
His natural ability, raw talent and skill is reminiscent of Senna but his mental toughness and his ability to embrace pressure and thrive is very Schumi-esque.
He does things with a car that previous champions and former drivers can only dream of let alone pull off. His relentless pursuit to improve is incredible!
Senna and Schumi were the 2 most intimidating drivers I’ve ever seen, but Max’s mature approach this year is way beyond his 24yrs. Alonso and Lewis never had that intimidating presence like Max showed last year and this year.
Senna, Schumi and Lewis will always head any GOAT debate. As great and as successful as Prost, Lauda, Clark, Mansell, Piquet and Alonso might be, I think it’ll always be difficult to make an argument for them to be the GREATEST but with the way Max is performing and the level of driving he has been operating at now over the last 2yrs he could easily bypass the others and sit at the table of the 3 supposed GREATEST!

Everybody makes mistakes. Remember Senna at Monaco. He was leading and pushing when he had a huge gap. The team told him to slow down . He didn't and he crashed. Huge mistake for a veteran. Max, is just on grade one. If he will have a good car and stay healty, he could be the best EVER, surpassing Schumacher. I don't count Hamilton. He is good, but the car was far superior to everyone on the grid. Literally , no competition. With equal cars there are at least 5 guys on the grid that can have a chance to beat him. He is history. Big difference between Hamilton and max is Hamilton use’s his head and waits for the right moment max barges his way through, Prost and Alonzo are clever drivers unlike senna and Schumacher who would go for the tiniest of gaps. Max as also been very lucky his first win in F1 was due to the two Mercedes taking each other out and that’s the only reason he won that race, everyone will still come back to last season and that has to be his luckiest moment so far with the help of Masi. The cars make a big difference how many titles could Alonzo have had if he had the right car, this year max has the best car so are we saying it’s the car or the driver as everyone keeps saying Hamilton only won because he had the best car is this going to be said about max.

He was world champion because he was most dominant driver for most of the year and if it wasn’t for Baku tyre failure or bottes crashing into him in turkey or silverstone crash he would have won the championship with 1-2 races to go. And Perez wasn’t much help to him for 80% of race due to struggling to get to grips with the new red bull car he wasn’t used to.

Sorry to say but isnt it quite obvious that you get angry when another driver costs you a win? He was leading the race in Brazil and Ocon ( a backmarker) had been given the blue flags, meaning let the leader in the race pass and dont fight him. That is not allowed. You wouldnt be angry when someone costs you a win, would you say thank you?

He even showed other drives things that before were though impossible like passing on the outside in high speed corner. Driving closer to each other than ever before. Now such things are picked up by many other most talented drivers in the field, bringing the sport to an higher level than ever before. Such tremendous progression in the sport has not been seen since Fangio. I am a dedicated fan of the sport visiting circuits around Europe and the world for 55 years now.
