Therefore, when max gets ahead, he will stay ahead, and it is easier for him to pass if he gets a perfect exit from a corner with the straight line speed. Max nearly single handedly brought back ferocious wheel to wheel racing, and now the cars match his style!
He’s been in beast mode this year and would be far ahead had it not been for his car deciding to go on strike…twice. And Checo is a fantastic driver and teammate but people forget he’s also got a race more than Max completed due to less reliability problems, so you have to look harder at the data to see just how strong Max is this year. @@Phantom096 very nice you think this way, but talent when you lose the last two races thanks to driver errors? And Charles is no all condition driver, when it rains he slams the car in the wall, the way he kept spinning the car in wet conditions this season at Imola.... That is not maybe more than Max, that is less than Max. I rate George and Lando higher in pure talent than Charles.

Max 2015 Monaco race was actually quiet good. He had a few good overtakes and had bad luck during his pitstop. The crash happened because Grosjean braked a lot earlier at Sante Devoite than the lap before. This caught Max out, who was pushing hard to get the overtake done. Pure the fact that he was actually going for overtakes at Monaco showed that he was a great driver in the making.

Max, and I truly feel this doesn’t get appreciated enough in the media except Alonso mentioning this, made F1 fun to watch during the Mercedes era. His aggressive driving style got demoted and criticized, I say BOLLOCKS that is what racing is and should be all about. Making your car 5 yards wide and defending every inch of racetrack for dear life is what Senna was all about, we hail Ayrton for and slam Max in the dirt for. He truly made F1 fun in a era where hybrid took all fun and spectacle and turned it down to about “2”.
