It’s called a floodplain for a reason, I’m surprised at the amount of multi million $ mansions I have seen being built in the valley replacing farm fields and such

Yep all that wasted prime lush growing area now just concrete this happens to replenish the ground new fresh fertile soil for crops. Instead we now have homes where lots of water could settle

If Nootsack River flooded & backed up, it floods into Sumas. Which this is what happened, the snow melt & heavy rains. Which just turned Sumas back into the original lake it once was. It's time that Canada shores up the problem at the border.

110 years ago that was a natural lake. Was drained back then and a reservoir was put in place.. this is mother nature taking back what's rightfully hers.. Say hello to sumas lake resurrected!!

    • @MrThatnativeguy

As of right now that lake is a cesspit filled with industrial waste , manure, thousands of dead animal bodies and who knows what else.

Naa, Nootsack River flooded which backed up, along with heavy rain & snow melt. Not the 1st time it's flooded won't be the last. Look at the 1884 flood, from Harrison to Richmond even Annacis Is was under water!

I love nature, she will give you a good slap in the face when ego gets out of hand... Have a look around the world, signs are everywhere, lessons, our father creator, and mother earth are talking. Are you listening? Material things aren't worth shit in the end when your heart will be weighed against the feather, your soul is eternal. Will you, or have you sold it? This chaos was created by YOU...

Revelation 14:11 “the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever and they have no rest day and night” don't go there.. Choose Jesus!
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed." John 3:16-20
