I love that your main cleaning agent is white vinegar. The vinegar and water mix is an incredible cleaner and leaves the air smelling fresh. Cheers to you for not using harsh chemical laden cleaners. Water and vinegar are also SOOOO much less expensive!

I use the same wash bag for my microfiber clothes. Also good for the sports clothes as they are made out of microfiber too (the lady in the shop told me). I was quite surprised at the amount of lint build up in the bag. Better off in the bin than the environment. Thank you for yet again a esthetically pleasing video. Who would of thought that such a mundane task as cleaning can look so zen.

Though i am not as minimal as you, you still inspire me. And lately during this pandemic i have begun going through things again. i have 4 bags of recycle 😮 so far! And i have begun last oct. Keto and IF, i have lost 45 LBs so i will have clothes added to that.
And I love my Morphy Richards supervac too, as its so light and easy to use all around the house. Of course i have stairs and cant carry a heavy one anymore. It has a hand bit you take off too with a few attachments and a little cup to hold the dust. Just an option, but not for everyone I know. Just ideas that may help as you said about the heavy top on yours.
I love the aesthetic of your apartment and Scandinavian design in general. Lovely to see green cleaning ideas and the use of airing stuff outside, this is so underrated. Your miffy light is brilliant. I live in a small 3 bedroom house in the UK and I do a few chores weekly/daily as needed, each week I clean one of the rooms from top to bottom in a much deeper way. There are 8 rooms so I know that every 8 weeks a room is fully cleaned, including the windows and this makes everything much easier. Also the further into the habit I get the cleaner everything is so it takes less and less time to do the deep clean.
I love my Dyson...Especially that it doesn't have an electric cord and it is easy to spot vacuum anywhere in the house. My first one and I don't think I would buy another brand. Thanks for your peaceful cleaning...love your videos and inspired to take better care of my home.
I find baking soda amazing on stainless steel kitchen sinks. Sprinkle some in give it a good scrub round with a wet cloth then rinse comes up so shiny and no chemicals

Hi Benita, I used to read your blog back in the day and remember that you wrote about cleaning then - I see that your archives are still up, so I had a quick look. I saw two things that I still use to this day - one, the tip of leaving extra garbage bags at the bottom of the bathroom bin, and the second is the Vileda (I think) special mop thing for cleaning the shower wall (you can buy replacement sponges for it); so useful! Thanks!
I replaced the red Vileda mop for the Muji one I used here when I moved in because it’s hanging visibly in my bathroom since I don’t have a broom closet but they do the same thing! The bag trick is a good one, I agree!
We have 2 Berger Blanc Suisse, long stock. A challenge for most vaccuum cleaners. They tend not to last too long, including the Dyson Animal Pro. We have a Miele Swing H1 Excellence Eco line. Happy now.
I purchased the microfiber cloth set, and it has taken my tidying up to a whole new level of consciousness. I use vinegar and alcohol in a plain glass spray bottle, however right now I cannot find alcohol. It is a mostly vinegar solution. Also, for my wood floors and interior of my car I use Dr. Bonner's. Thank-you for your videos.

Benita I would be very interested to know more details about your bedding. Bed (mattress, ensemble, mattress pad, valance/bed skirt, fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet/doona, quilt, blanket) configuration is different in different parts of the world and I'd love to know the Scandi way or perhaps it's particular to Sweden, or maybe just how you like it. It always looks simple and cosy and comfy without being messy or overly frou-frou.
In Europe we have a bed frame. Onto this goes a lattenrust (a slatted wooden frame). Then a mattress, cover on that, then a fitted sheet, duvet in a duvet cover and pillows.

I remember staying in Switzerland in several Swiss homes in the mid 90s and being fascinated by the two duvets on a double/queen/king bed rather than one large one as we have. And there was something special about the way the duvet was tucked under itself but I can't recall precisely what.

I have the same problem if I wear light colours on top and darks as bottoms. Taller people (unlike a near-midget like me) can make it work though.

Bed (mattress, ensemble, mattress pad, valance/bed skirt, fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet/doona, quilt, blanket) configuration is different in different parts of the world and I'd love to know the Scandi way or perhaps it's particular to Sweden, or maybe just how you like it. It always looks simple and cosy and comfy without being messy or overly frou-frou.

In Europe we have a bed frame.
Onto this goes a lattenrust (a
slatted wooden frame). Then a
mattress, cover on that, then a
fitted sheet, duvet in a duvet
cover and pillows.
@@user-ii5jh2ch2i He he he, I actually live in Malaysia, but you are correct in your assumption, because I am Australian. I remember staying in Switzerland in several Swiss homes in the mid 90s and being fascinated by the two duvets on a double/queen/king bed rather than one large one as we have. And there was something special about the way the duvet was tucked under itself but I can't recall precisely what.
@@user-ii5jh2ch2i Benita appears to have a mattress pad and I'm wondering if there is a mattress under the valance/bed skirt? And is the mattress pad covered with a flat sheet or a fitted sheet? Please excuse my fixation on these details - beds are obviously a comforting place during these peculiar days.
@@kateshearer9398 me and my hb came across the two duvets when traveling to Prague many years ago and we switched to that way immediately upon our return to USA :))) never been happier! Such a simple thing!
