Thank you all so much for the sweet comments and questions about my health. I’d rather not focus on that on my channel so I’ll just give you all a quick update here.
I’m doing really well. I’m back at work 4 days a week, working from home. I have four more treatments and after that some additional stuff. But honestly, this hasn’t been bad at all.
Creating videos is a lot of work, preparing, shooting, editing and all the rest that goes with having a channel so if you see a video here every other Tuesday, I’m doing well 😀😘

Me and my husband had to start minimalism. There was one time he was like I DONT HAVE SHIRTS TO WEAR! I counted all his shirts that night and counted 74 shirts and 8 pants. I told him afterwards, he was very disappointed with himself. We started to sort out his clothes, sold some and then donated most. Now he has 15 shirts and is very happy with it. He gets to wear all of them in 2 weeks (just in time for laundry) and we have so much closet space! IT is the way to go

Last week i decluttered all of my pyjamas/loungewear and ordered new clothes to wear at home specifically. It's the very first time in my life when i do not wear 'downgraded' clothes at home. And it feels good. My home is very well kept and now i finally feel like i fit into it..
I started to wear my 'good' clothes inside, instead of my old, baggy, shaggy, 'home' clothes. It does wonder to my mental health, lol.
Where did you order your new pieces? Always looking for good quality items!
I want to do it but I haven't done it yet 'cause I have cats and I don't know if it's a good idea. They leave hair on everything. If I wear new clothes at home, in a few days they would be full of fur 🤔🤔
i think especially at a time like this when we spend more time at home it would be important to do this and feel put together in lounge wear as well. still, i with my student budget, have not done this yet haha.

My “home wear “section is the biggest one in my wardrobe! I have a few outfits that I call my “Look like I’ve made an effort” section and a few “Smart-casuals”. I have completely done away with a “Dressy, going somewhere special” section as I now flatly refuse any such invitations! I’ve decided time is too precious to spend it outside my comfort zone and I no longer feel guilty about it. There’s no “sports wear” section for the same reason haha, I just go for long walks in the fresh air. 💖
Just discovered your videos! While watching this one, I just out all my clothes and arranged them by colour. It's been twenty or so years since I became old enough to worry about whether the colours I'm wearing match or not, and never in that time did it occur to me that... I don't HAVE to worry, and I could stick to mostly neutrals and nobody would realize. So, if you'll excuse me for a minute, I'm going to cut specific colours out of my wear-out-of-the-house wardrobe altogether and make myself a capsule wardrobe.

Here in 3rd world country, if you have clothes with defect, we stitch it up and use it until it looks like a rug. Lucky for some people who can afford new clothes once in a while. But, yeah.. i am totally minimalist with my clothes and shoes.
Me too, stitch up, patch and use it, reuse it and recycle all and every possible pieces of the item ♡

You deserve lovely stay at home wear. You don't need as many pieces as you have now...Just a few lovely pieces go a long way. Things you wouldn't mind being seen in if someone surprised you at the door, or you had to run outside for some reason (but mainly, just for you).
Those worn out pieces are really comfy though 😊
But if she has fewer she can hardly fill a whole load of laundry, and that would probably be pretty wasteful... :)
@@saafiiiraa They can be washed with the others (also, many machines have options for small loads). I'm not saying the items should be radically different. Benita, they can still be soft and comfortable. I've been there. Why should we wear stretched out and worn out things full of holes? We should treat ourselves better.

Love this! And I definitely agree with you about having less clothes if I lived in a warmer climate. I live in Norway, so I have the same dilema about having clothes for different seasons. I'm still starting my minimalist journey but already feeling less need for more and new!

Thanks for sharing and thanks for not focusing on the number much. Over the years it's grown to be a source of frustration how so many do focus on the number of items. Maybe I LOVE all these pieces, even if I have 25 of them!

i watch these videos on replay! Thank you for sharing your minimalist wardrobe. I have a large closet with a lot of clothes and other stuff and hardly wear any of it. I'm on a mission to really only own what I will actually wear that looks nice and is comfortable. Since the pandemic I've been working at home and I'm using even less of my clothes now that I don't have to travel out of my home during the day. In recent weeks, I've forced myself to wear my 'work' clothes to see if they even fit. I've purged quite a bit but I know there's more to go. You're on my playlist when I need some inspiration - thanks again!
I just wanna mention that your wardrobe looks so elegant and stylish even though it’s very simple. I been watching others bloggers videos about minimalist lifestyle and their clothes just looked so worn and had a second hand look. Your is just clean and very refreshing. Makes totally a huge difference. It’s a great prove that you could be a minimalist and look stylish without going to extreme of buying second hand.

I live in northern Ontario, Canada and we have 4 very different seasons too so my wardrobe has a variety of warm and cool clothes like yours. Best buys were my parka with reflective lining and my toasty -40C winter boots. I like your winter hats and mitts!

It was good to see your 5 outerwear pieces. I find it necessary when living in a cold climate, where the temperature can vary from -40 degrees to + 20 in the same week. Then there are arctic/ deep snow boots, walking the dog on plowed/shoveled roadways boots, waterproof boots for early/late winter. Long johns, wool sweaters and snow pants. I am a minimalist in need of another closet. Lol!

I share your colour's choice (black, grey, white); I also use navy/dark blue and earth tones sometimes, just because it suits me.
I find your number of pieces very reasonable, taking into account that is for the four seasons, you have what you like and need, no more, no less...I have started to downsize my "wardrobe needs" and I have learned few good tips today 😉. Thank you Benita!!!

I think you might see a glimpse of it in a future video but so didn’t record the making of it.
So I have watched a number of other videos and even read a book or two on capsule wardrobes. This is the very first one that actually made sense to me. I have gone through my own clothes and I’ve gotten rid of a number of things that just don’t work for me. I noticed that I actually have gravitated towards certain colors, black, gray, plum and some white. These are the ones that I reach for the most especially the black and the gray. I have these ones out now and it makes it so much easier to figure out what you should wear when all the other things are not sitting there cluttering up space!
Your voice is so soothing! I'm right there with you ... homebody here! No need for a lot of "special occasion" clothes.

What a joy to see your video. Hope you are feeling better. I wear danish wool socks under my blundstones and fell so in love with them now wear them under everything. They don’t slide down at all and are warm enough even at -50c here sometimes. You just inspired me to demote my grunge at home stuff to rags and look a bit nicer at home even if it’s mostly work shirts for zoom snd leggings!
My Blunnies were great for a decade, it’s just this last year that they don’t work well anymore.
