This is a really awesome looking tank - subtle where it needs to be. Great work!

U must remember when a Tank moves it never moves alone. There will always be at least 2 Tanks moving together. A Tank on its own is just waiting to receive an anti Tank missile, so always move in numbers. Training always is the whole unit. Witch means if you're following another Tank the dust is going to get everywhere. It's dust buy it's nature it gets kicked up in the air, so a Tank following would be Covered. An a lone Tank would reverse with the front facing the threat. So going forward dust all over the rear, reversing dust all over the front. An everytime they fire dust everywhere!! A better way to do this method as l have the same mud, is to apply the diluted mud apply then dab it with a rag this gives a much thinner dust an U can make it look more like a cloud effect, is the best way l can describe it. Like if U put it on the side skirts then dab with rag there's no lines just different levels of dust witch looks much more realistic. U can even get the rag make a ball where U will dab the Tank, get a small amount of paint off the brush put a bit on the rag an dab it directly to the Tank it gives great effects, because it looks like small clouds of dust Much better than the brush!! Give it a try lm sure you'll be surprised at the results U get. An if you're going to flick the dust U should really apply the dust then flick wet effects over it like U have just gone through a wet puddle, less is always more with this effect.

      Hi
I’ll try it, but as this is modelled for around late October, when it’s wetter, there’s not much thrown up dust, the dust is more diluted earth from the wash down at the end of running, or crew foot fall being diluted or dirty water flowing over or splashing up.
The sides is again dirty water run off, to think about it the dusting I mostly did was with the streaking oils.
If it’s mid summer, then yes, it would get everywhere, and there wouldn’t really be mud as it would be drier, the German ranges are very much the same as bovington, light sandy soil.summer very dusty, from early autumn more light mud and splatter.
The T-72 I’m finishing is much more darker mud and pigment, as it’s basically Russian steppe, and again in winter, so not much dust, summer then yes.
I get my weathering from looking at photos of a tank, and adding my interpretation of it.
I try to be careful not to start creating an overall filter with dust.
I’d love to see your methods results, you should pop up a vid to show everyone else.
      Have a great week!
