      Hi!
You should enjoy it, its a good copy of the tamiya! 😂 and the workings are quite good, the new 7.0 i light years ahead of the old stuff.
And thank you for watching it, your all too kind.
      Have a great week!

I think people have the tendency to get the scale of the chipping wrong... if that makes any sense. Yours looks like what you would see in a good clear hi res photo. Great work!

Nice subtle weathering and wear- I like to weather models and not a simple task to do it to scale so thanks for this. Looking at some real wear and tear pictures it would not translate well to a model, like you say especially US tanks often look banged up but I guess then they put so many more in the field so bound to get more tanks with superficial wear and tear.

      Hi!
Thank you for watching it, and yes, you cant go wrong in studying real reference, and the Abrams has so much caricature because of the lived in look. you forget that its an early 80 tank!
      Have a great week!

I see chalk sometimes on tanks that have been transported by rail. The Movements Head marks tanks properly positioned and secured. as easy as it sounds I have problems getting it to work right. Best results so far has been pencil crayon and forgive that it doesn't apply very well as it make the chalk look like it's wearing off.

That sounds like a really cool idea effect, ak do these pencils too for weathering, they might be a bit more permanent, but faded would look real!
Thanks to much again for getting in touch and watching, makes it all worthwhile 🙂
      Have a great Sunday!

Well done, I am rather a fan of so called simultaneous chipping and weathering but all at all the effect is quite similar

      Hi!
thanks so much, and id love to see that, do you use chipping fluid to affect the weathering? ive been thinking of reintroducing shade in the weathering with mig shaders, add more depth.
      Have a great week!

Your streaking had me worried there for a moment…. Until you washed it out a bit. Phew! You are right. Less is best.
On a tangent. What would you aim at if you wanted to disable a tank? I was thinking, ‘that sprocket!’ ‘But no… it could still shoot back even if it lost drive on one side. This must be quite a big topic among infantry 🤔.

      Hi Steve
its a balance with model tanks to get it seen, but not really seen! 🙂 and i guess its anything that distracts the crew enough they bail out, or forget about shooting back!

@@mrtankalotrctankschannel if I had to fight it would be in tanks due to the special culture of the Royal Tank Regiment. Crew solidarity is exceptional because of the indispensable contribution each role makes to survival… plus of course, my Grandpa Abbott having been in the first generation of tanks.

Lol. Thank you for this vid. I'm watching this and working on my T-90 at the same time. Looking forward to applying this to my 2 Leopards. They are, as you say a bit too clean. I have mine as Leopards from the Lord Strathcona's Horse Regiment. They saw rough service in Afghanistan. The also were equipped with large plow like attachments to assist with fighting position preparation. Haven't figured a way to add a feature like that on my Leopards. Maybe a scale farm attachment from another toy.??? Anyway, thanks for the video.

Those are indeed "Ploughs" affixed to the front of some Canadian Leopard 2 MBTs in Afghanistan. Those ploughs are not intended to assist in the construction of field fortifications however. Instead, they are there to plough the ground directly in front of the Tank's Tracks, lifting Anti-Tank mines to the surface and automatically tossing them to the side of the tank's tracks/path. Any following vehicles, regardless of width, put their left track/wheel in the Left Track of the Plough Tank, and follow that way with a high assurance that all buried mines and/or Improvisedd Explosives have been cleared from that narrow and exact path. There are also "Rollers" which are typically attached to the front of the MBT following the Plough Tank. The heavy metal rollers are the same width as the Tank's tracks, and are intended to "prove" that the tracks ploughed by the lead MBT are indeed clear of mines and explosives. The weight of the Roller will set off any remaining pressure plates or Anti-Tank Mines which were not lifted by the Plough Tank.

I would still like to find a way to adopt something for one of my leopards to represent that.@@markcampbell8533

I'm giving up on Heng Long because I had problems 2 out of 3 tanks Toucan hobby gave me a refund for the Abrams M1A2 tank and gave me parts to fix the Leopard tank and now the Leopard tank doesn't turn as sharp as the other tanks did. They wanted me to order another Abrams pro tank... I said to myself forget it because 2 bad tanks out of 3 gave me bad negative thoughts in other words a bad headache 😅

      Hi
Oh no, that's a flipping pain, at least they tried to sort it out for you. Just one little thing, try a factory reset on the leo, it might be the setting for decreased turning circle has been set to less sharp tuning, its a feature they put on for WW2 tigers i think??
Thanks for watching, and if you need any help comment and ill try my best!
