Unfortunately yes but that's just the nature of emulation. You can greatly reduce it by switching to PortAudio and setting your latency but it'll still be there depending on what your soundcard can handle.
@@unixsuperuser change the controller type to pop'n controller and map the buttons in order, LWhite LBlue = Scratch Up/Down, then the 7 keys. I don't know if they've reimplemented controller types in the current nightly builds but that's all you need to do
