- A series about stuff that creeped me out that can't be covered by Creepy Bad Endings or Creepy Time Limits.
Unlike Nintendo's other series', Metroid has never been one to hide that it enjoys scaring players. Out of all of the games, Fusion has perhaps the creepiest premise, a whole host of terrifying scenarios. and one of gaming's most feared video game foes of all time...

The irony is... the Metroid DNA used to save Samus' life from the X parasite infection... was from the baby Metroid... the same baby Metroid Samus spared and brought along from Planet SR388 after being recognized as its 'mama'. The same baby Metroid, after being mutated into the Super Metroid by the Space Pirates, that sacrificed its life so Samus can truly defeat Mother Brain. Once again, that baby Metroid saves Samus' life through its DNA killing off the infection and giving birth to the Fusion Suit.
And, to top all of that off, the metroids in the BSL station were cloned from the same infant metroid; the one that was a new queen metroid, since the original one had birthed a special egg to keep the species alive (whether it was because of old age or because of Samus´s threat to metroids it´s up for debate).
It was said in an interview that absorbing the SA-X´s core had returned Samus to her previous genetic condition, which would mean that the next game after Fusion would have our belove bounty hunter with her previous suit; this technically isn´t canon, so maybe there´s a chance to see Samus develop more metroid abilities and become the "ultimate warrior".
T H E B A B Y . . .
@@geminidreik2608 but didn't fusion's ending show that samus still wears the fusion suit? Absorbing the SA-X only changed the color of the suit to the varia suit colors (and restored her old abilitys, yeah), so she should technically still have that suit in the next game in the timeline
IT LIVES ON
@@dededeletethis9940 also, upon achieving 100% (so in fact, gathering the suit maximum capacities) makes her appear in zero suit (so her in kinda showing clothes but they are nonetheless clothes). That means she can take it off upon completing the suit at the very end (with all power ups and the last X core). Cauz, remember at the begining the fusion suit is... well... fused to her. In conclusion, not only the color changes but the suit comes back to a state of suit, not that weird alien biological protesis that stuck to her skin at the begining
Theres a reason the USA commercial of Metroid Fusion calls that thing "your greatest fear"
Yeah, because what they mean of "you", they means *yourself.*
Yea no shit sherlock
That expressionless face of the SA-X glaring at you through the TV screen still haunts me to this day.
Yeah. Our greatest fear doesn't know how to aim up, use Gravity Suit, Shine Spark, Space Jump, duck shoot, Grapple Beam, Crystal Flash, Beam Shields and even the Murder Beam.
seeing SA-X's face sure was fun when i was down stairs
alone
at night
You must have metaphorically shit yourself.
Good thing I'm downstairs
Alone
In the day
Ofc it was. You just have to get directly above/below it and it will jump around trying to get you.
What? How?
In the dark.
By myself
With no one around...
Except my glove light!!
That was one detail I always liked, how in the restricted lab area, the other metroids ignored Samus, they probably see her as one of them. The Omega Metroid is probably much more violent than the larval stage or possibly territorial
Maybe it has to do with ammount of DNA. The larvae have smaller ammounts of Metroid DNA, so Samus feels like a full Metroid to them. The Omega, however...
@@uandresbrito5685 thats not how dna works afaik
@@uandresbrito5685 I think it's a simple lack of basic brain function as, iirc larval metroids dont have a brain, simply a nucleus, I think that they detect other methods via a signal sort of like how ants detect other ants by smell, while the omega metroid has a brain/eyes to see that samus is not a metroid, however I may just be overanalyzing
@@nubiedubie1651 Why not? Do you want to tell me an infant has the same ammount of cells as a mature adult?
@@adamswing6115 As much as Metroids are unintelligent, having eyes is already a pretty good argument, lol
Fun fact, if you go into the game’s files, you can see Nettori actually IS (mimicking) a robotic Chozo statue under all those vines. So you really weren’t far off.
A Torizo?
I really like that one of Dark Samus's victory animations in Smash Bros is a reference to SA-X, with the sudden zoom up on its face and its creepy glowing eyes.
This I have to check out now
Ikr imagine if they added the SA-X second form instead of Dark Samus
“Samus, you shouldn’t have done that...”
First play through I about had a heart attack. Subtle things like that just cut through my soul.
This game has everything to scare you. A creepy intro to set up this game with a creepy plot to back it up, an enemy that combines creepy music and invulnerability to be absolutely terrifying, timed sequences to put your nerves on edge, and ear demolishing screams from Ridley and the final boss.
The only thing that contrast the creepy atmosphere are the colors. The game was designed too colorfully, so if they had used a color pallet like the one from Super Metroid, it certainly should be very creepy
@@amadeussantana653 I imagine it was done this way to contrast the darkness of the screen
@@FelipeSS98 of course it was , i know that we are talking about a Portable Video Console. But what i just said was that those kind of colors should had been the suitables for the trama you know
Atleast the endings aren't bad, in fact, it shows up samus on her zero suit.
The metroids were created for one purpose, to devour the x parasites.
The x parasites are able to copy powers, ability, and memorys from anything dead or alive and become that being, in this game the metroids were extinct (until plot twist) it's a good thing there were all kept on the space station and SR388.
For being on the gba, metroid fusions sure had alot of meat on its bones.
it really did, i had tons of fun replaying through that game over and over
If it was made with elements of Alien: Isolation, now THAT would be amazing. Imagine the SA-X being able to show up *anywhere* on the station and you won't know it until you hear that dreaded Ice Beam being fired.
I thought this was a Super Nintendo game
Canonically, Fusion is so far the final Metroid game. Wonder if they will ever pick up on her and ALAN taking on the Federation which has no doubt labeled her a wanted felon at that point.
Metroid Renegade/Rogue/Riot. Make that happen Nintendo!
Its last if we dont account other m and fortunately for us we dont account other m
@@adamswing6115 Other M takes place prior to Fusion, so no, even with taking account for Other M, Fusion is the final Metroid game
@@Odinfrost oof. I was thinking of the prime games sorry for the misinformation other people
Last update on the Prime games are that they are canon due to Ridley's appareance in Samus Returns (as in his looks, not the fact that he is in the game), just that the Prime storyline won't overlap with the main Metroid storyline, which makes it so they may as well not have been canon...
The Metroid series is excellent with creating tension and fear, especially for often being on systems with limited graphical capabilities. It also even can damage a player's ears, in some cases. How immersive!
It really makes you feel like Samus with the noises and atmosphere
sa-x still manages to be one of the most creepy characters i've seen in a video game lmao
Have you ever played Zelda Twilight Princess? If so, then you must be familiar with the name Blizzeta.
@Phyrion Aurum I was terrified too. I was 12 when I played the game and I saw her face for the first time, I couldn't sleep for 2 weeks and I was too scared to look at my reflect at the mirror. Even thought I defeated her.
Sad thing is that the SA-X was such a huge impact on the Metroid series that it makes me wish it was a design for Samus in SSBU
16:24 There's a lore reason for that too.
Apparently the Fusion Suit is lighter/more flexible.
@@krimsonkatt She can only grab on to ledges in Zero Mission with the Power Grip upgrade. In Fusion she can do it right off the bat.
To compare and contrast using a real life example, the Fusion Suit is the equivalent of chain mail worn by knights. The Varia Suit is that plus additional armor pieces.
@@SoldierOfFate, the Varia Suit is an upgrade to the main Power Suit unit.
19:44 look I'm sure the Neighbors down stairs won't be that loud!
So I just made a discovery that may elevate the statue sequence even further in creepyness. You need to slow the video down and rapidly pause and unpause but when the eyes brake actual ghost faces come out. Here's my best attempt at timestamping it.
11:34
Yea. I saw it. Up near Ridley's wing, right?

Me: Ridley is a Space Dragon
Nintendo: He's also a pirate, leads a crew, and killed Samus's parents
Me: how?
Nintendo: He also made a robot version of himself
Me: Sure, why not
Tbh Ridley is the best space dragon ever.
@@vbgvbg1133 He's pretty intelligent too if I remember the manga right
He might be smart but Rayquaza would kick its ass
@@dutczar5436 yeah, according to the manga, ridley's not just smart - he's really really intelligent. He can even speak. My guess is that he chooses to only roar and scream in the games to scare samus. He already traumatized her by killing and eating her parents, so he does this to add to the image of a mindless beast. He wants samus to underestimate his intellect so he can more easily outsmart her.
@@dededeletethis9940 but one thing is why hasn't Riddley Beaten Samus since he is so smart but then again he is traumatised by killing her parents and when Riddley fights Samus he is fighting over to kill her or not which give Samus the chance to beat him
27:06 She once freaked out when seeing Ridley in the manga. I don't think she's that sane.
To be fair, didn't Manga Ridley EAT HER PARENTS?
@@fanusobscurus4309 fairly certain that ridley killing her parents is canon. In fact, the entire manga might be canon, but i'm not sure. You'd need to ask someone who knows their metroid lore.
@@dededeletethis9940 Ridley was either directly or indirectly responsible for killing Samus's parents. It was canon that he led a Space Pirate attack which resulted in their deaths. I can't tell from what I'm reading if they died at his hands or from the pirates he commanded.

DoctorNovakaine he ate dem

On the topic of the SA-X using the Spazer Beam instead of the Plasma Beam: That shot went right through Samus. I like to think the SA-X is just that terrifying and figured out how to use the Plasma and Spazer Beams at the same time.
So it has the murder beam?
Then why can it rapidly shoot to the right without the game imploding in on itself?

Even watching this video with this music was crazy powerful.

If only they gave SA-X a better fight after such a long build-up time. But this is still my most fav Metroid game
A bit of visual storytelling that I love in Fusion is how every single door in the Restricted Laboratory area requires Level 4 clearance, when usually there's just one door with extra security clearance, and the rest are just those white Level 0 doors. It really accentuates how you're ESPECIALLY not supposed to be in there.
The funny thing about the namesakes of MetroidVanias is that the themes of the two are what you'd expect the other to have. Metroid is full of eerie ambience and you constantly feel at risk, while Castlevania has blasting music, you feel awesome when playing it and there's only the occasional fright you'd expect out of a sci-fi story,
Ah, i remember this damn Nemesis thing.
Is the feel of shooting every single weapon and the 0 damage sounds and your head turns in 90° from "Fight!" to "FLIGHT!!!"
Should I even dare to listen to the fight with Ridley with the sound volume at max?
Yes...as long as you wear earplugs.
God, and I thought HFTF DIO's weird robotic WRYYYYY was already painful enough, he has nothing on Ridley-X...
I was just thinking the other day about how now that Metroid 2 has gotten a good remake (2 of them actually), the next step is to remake Metroid Fusion on the Switch. Certainly a landmark game and perhaps the most horrific despite being on a portable. Imagine how much they could improve the SA-X, giving it better movement patterns, maybe allow it to appear in certain other rooms if you dick around too much, making things less predictable. Oh, and on the Hard mode you can fight several of them in the final battle at once.
Indeed, Samus' courage is a force to be reckoned with on its own... most of the time. I suppose she could say she's already been through the worst that can happen- losing one's world and family as a child. On the other hand, Link has been able to face down multiple Redeads and other unholy atrocities like Dead Hand without going mad from stress.
He's got the Triforce, thou. That alone is an unfair advantage over Samus
And weve already gotten a teaser for the fusion remake at the end of samus returns.
I'd just settle for a port of Fusion. I lost my copy years ago and I'm not a fan of emulators. I'd love to play Fusion again on a Nintendo console.
@@qty1315 it would make more sense to remake it since fusion was teased at the end of the.metroid 2 remake
@@groundedfan7724 Yes, but it's easier to port it. I've got ports of every 2D Metroid game except Fusion.
Oh man the memories... And nightmares that this game gave me
This was my first and favorite metroid game
Nintendo REALLY brought the Sci-Fi Horror genre to an artform with Metroid: Fusion. Kind of hard to believe that you can get so deeply engrossed in the game that you (I did, at least) get that feeling feeling of personal fear that you're the one about to get taken down...it breaks the wall between reality and fantasy, and I love they made a game that actually makes you fear for your own life, even though it's just pixels on a screen.
This is probably why Fusion is my favorite game in the series.
Was listening to some Metroid music when I saw this, perfect timing!
Fun fact: this was my first Metroid game handed down to me along with the gba when I was 5. My first encounter with the SA-X made me pissed scared and I turned off the console. I could get past other bosses but Serris as I kept trying to fight it under water :/
Serris is speed
The way the SA-X stalks you throughout the game reminds me of the Xenomorph from Alien.
That's probably the idea!
Alien actually *inspired* Metroid, so that's no surprise.
*Imagine a Metroid Prime entry where, despite the usual and iconic gameplay, the game itself was basically Alien: Isolation.* T__T
@@ezrafaulk3076to be fair, a lot of games were inspired by Alien, like Contra
"If you see the SA-X, just run." that kinda reminds me of the E.M.M.I.
16:30 close! It's because her normal power suit is too heavy to pull herself up, which is why her new lighter suit allows her to do so, and other games require the power grip item.
That honestly doesn't make any sense; if she can jump *super* high and *infinitely* with the Screw Attack in that thing, why would she suddenly not be able to pull herself up to a ledge? I think they just didn't animate it in Super Metroid; *lots* of platformer videogame characters have fallen victim to that logical fallacy we even when *not* wearing a power suit after all.
@@ezrafaulk3076 sure that's definitely a good point, but that's factual and canon from a lore standpoint. That IS the in universe explanation, I didnt write the lore 🤷♀️
@@thelowercasec4880 Nintendo also said that the reason Inklings and Octolings dissolve in water in Splatoon is because their skin is "too thin to keep the water out" or something like that; if *that's* the case, howcome it's only *seawater* that actually does that to them, and howcome they can take *multiple* shots of hyper concentrated ink without their skin being ripped apart? A much *more* likely explanation is one that I got from a CZcams video focusing on the subject; that the *ocean* water in particular got *so* polluted before humanity went extinct that it became the same as *acid* to them, which might've been what drove the squids and octopi that they evolved from onto land to *begin* with.
You can *always* find holes in poor excuses for something in or not in a game; even if they *are* canon lore; the Elder Scrolls is a *prime* example of that, a lot of its lore being glorified excuses for broken developer promises. So even if it's the canon explanation, when you actually think about it, you realize it's just a glorified excuse Nintendo made for that common animation oversight because it makes *no* logical sense.
The SA-X is the scrariest character in Metroid and may be the reason i'm afraid of white eyes
I've always found the music in the Statue Chamber & Tourian unnerving to say the least

Something about SA-X reacting to noise is what gets my creep out of this one. I'm all up for an untouchable powerhouse perpetually hunting the player down, but if I have to sit in a corner without being able to give a little _rap tap tap_ to myself then you get me anxious about the threat
When I was little, de SA-X scared me so much that I had to stop playing
I’d like you to elaborate. I need to see if there is more to this story as you have peaked my interest and I do have a similar story.
@@lordlouie3550 Welp, I was like... 8 or 10 years old, I think? And I was playing in the GBA emulator. Metroid Fusion was my first approach to the Metroid saga and I entered totally blindfolded. So, I was already frightened by the atmosphere and stuff, and then the first cutscene with the SA-X happened. In the next area, I was just too scared to continue. I thought that the SA-X was going to appear at every moment.
I completed the game some years ago and the payback was priceless
(Sorry for the bad english, btw)
ArtusWalker Cool. My first exposure to Metroid was through the original back when I bought it on Virtual Console when I was 10. Although the game isn’t scary per say, I read so much deeper into this game that I wrote my own head cannon to every one of the games oddities.
Samus’s Suit’s unusual smoothness and squishiness? It’s made of rubber. The pterodactyl things that fell from the ceiling that were confirmed to burrow through ground In later games? I thought they were living missiles that exploded into bits when they hit the ground.
The white tiles all over Kraid’s Lair? This must have been some temple worshipping a creature, obviously! But the creepy aspect I remember most are the statues in front of the elevator to Kraid and Ridley’s respective domains. They seemed so... wrong looking, Id stare at them for minutes, and the fact you had to walk into their screaming, 1 or 2 headed maws was even creepier. Super and Zero Missions version of these oddities make the original look even more out of place, as in Super they were both removed (And replaced with different, less creepy faces near their entrances) andZero Mission just REMOVES THEM ENTIRELY. I still wonder about those statues to this day.
I did say I had a similar story, but my “scared of game so much I didn’t play it” story wasn’t Metroid related, so here you go.

When I was a child, I dream about SA-X too, this game is haunted almost my childhood until I beat a game.
Samus when she finds out that there is ten SA-X on the ship
Samus: ah shit here we go again
I feel like they went into a LOT of uncharted territory with the Fusion suit. It's almost like weaponizing bacteria instead of standard weaponry.
The ending feels kinda...rushed. Not in a "They rushed the game" kinda way. Her getting the standard suit back just doesn't really seem to fit. It's almost like they planned on keeping the game's ending with her just barely able to defeat SA-X, then flying off, leaving the Power Suit behind, and keeping the Fusion Suit. Which would be cool to me.
I'd imagine they were basically in a meeting, finished explaining the plot, and after they were finished someone said
"Haha, cool!
...soooooo how does Samus get back the Power Suit?"
- In this moment, they realized/remembered Samus has very specific branding and merchandising, along with other stuff -

"Wha-? But sir, I thought tha-"
"DON'TTHINKABOUTIT!!"

Wait... That timer counts down even after you beat the Omega Metroid? Geez... Can you imagine being a kid playing this, and trying over and over to beat it, and you finally do on your twenty-somthingth try with five seconds to spare on the clock. You cheer in joy and look at the screen in anticipation as the ship SLOWLY flies in... And you lose again.
Man, that would suck.
Tfw,Sa-x was the main reason why i was avoiding playing Metroid Fusion.
Then fear no more, cause it's AI is barely smarter than a potato.
Those are the most sinister footsteps you will ever hear in a video game.
Oh I and was scared shitless when found Ridley's body frozen solid in the Sub-zero containment unit.
Just by seeing the game I know what you're gonna talk about... I had this game as a kid and it scared me. Never managed to beat it btw.
My first and favorite Metroid, i will never forget the memories i've had with this game.
You may get scared by the strangest things, but being afraid of SA-X? Completely valid and healthy fear. This game makes me tenser than most dedicated survival horror games. God damnit, we need more Metroid!
Samus : Who are you?
SA-X : I’m you,but more Stronger and Deadiler
Also, stronger and deadlier? It can't fall in a gap. After you beat Yakuza, there is a chase part that you can't avoid. If you manage to destroy the rocket block and get in while the SA-X is chasing you, it just jumps over the gap which (it knows this too) you are in. It just jumps over. While you are trapped down there and it could easily a) Jump at you b) go and aim at you with Wave Beam c) use Super Missiles.
The idea of a government having a ready supply of SA-X's is a terrifying thought

The sa-x can't grab ledges because in zero mission you need the power grip to do so and the sa-x can't do that because it's copying the suit from super metroid and not zero mission. You(the player) can grab ledges cause the new suit is lighter than the old one.
It's the little details like this that make the game so much better imo
@@kingofthejungle5338 it could spring ball.
I was going to watch the Super Paper Mario one, but if Metroid Fusion is on this list then I can tell this is going to be good.
a minor detail, but i always appreciated how Samus holds her arm cannon up with her hand, while the SA-X just uses its hand over the arm cannon to aim it, shows how week Samus really became at the start of the game.
16:24 Yes. The general head canon is that the fusion suit is nimble and lightweight, which allows it to grab ledges and climb ladders. But the original suit was too heavy to do so without the power grip upgrade that you find in zero mission. And since the power grip WASN'T in super metroid, the SA-X doesn't have it. Gotta love the attention to detail in this franchise!
And i thought the metroid game i have on the wii was creepy enough...
Not sure if you'll ever see this, but in the fangame AM2R, when you beat the game, you can see the X start to take over SR388. It's really creepy
I never played any of the metroid games but i can tell by the soundtrack that this game is very creepy, and with all the theories around it, we can also tell how scary Samus Aran could have been if she was a villain!
The SA-X showing up during the Omega Metroid fight could be for a rather simple reason I never see anyone bring up: Samus's ship is the only way off the station and the only way to reach said ship is through the Omega Metroid. Hell it might be in the docking bay because it chased one or more SA-X in there, devoured them which pushed it to molt into an Omega. Then it sees Samus approach and thinks "Yay more food has arrived!" and attack.
I probably played Metroid Fusion because of the SA-X specifically. I'm glad I did because the game is great fun and I've played through it multiple times, always trying to get a faster time and a better score each time.
However, upon playing the game the first time, I realized that some of the assumptions I made about the SA-X were not true, and I couldn't help but be the slightest bit dissatisfied...
For the one thing, I was given the impression that the SA-X was an entirely random encounter throughout the game, to the point where it could literally pop-up anywhere. I assumed that each sector would have a metaphorical "time-limit"; if you were to stay in one place for too long, the SA-X would become alerted to your presence there, and would randomly enter the sector and begin searching for you. I felt like this would've stirred up the fear; the game is encouraging you to explore through areas for secrets, but also has a consequence for lingering; so it would become imperative to manage your time effectively.
When I realized that every encounter with the SA-X was scripted, I couldn't help but feel like it relieves the tension a bit too much.
Another problem I had was the revelation that there was more than one SA-X on the space-station. It makes for an interesting idea that there are more of these dangerous and powerful enemies on-board...but you only ever encounter one at a time. The revelation that there are not one but ten of them, is ultimately kind of pointless. Plus, it robs the unique menace of the SA-X; the idea that the X that nearly killed Samus in the intro was now Mimicking her, gives the sense of the situation being "personal"; this creature knew how dangerous Samus was to it's natural predator - the Metroids - and had now taken her form, effectively replacing her. And now that she has Metroid DNA - and its intended role is to replace her - it is now hunting her down across the ship. This makes their "rivalry" a lot more interesting, and why the final section of the game works so well - the final confrontation when Samus overcomes her X-Counterpart, but then has to join with it to overcome a common-enemy.
If I were directing this game, after the restricted sector is jettisoned from the space station, I'd include a scene that reveals the SA-X overcame the Metroids, and escaped from the sector as it was being ejected from the station, most likely landing on the surface outside, until finding its way back in. It would be representative of Samus' never-give-up attitude and her ability to overcome seemingly any obstacle, and would further paint the creature as an unstoppable force.
But those are just my thoughts
Whenever I think of a time-limit for a zone that triggers an enemy, I immediately think of the water wraith in Pikmin 2. That gave me nightmares as a kid.
I remember playing this game on my days when I was 7. I got a speed run time of 3 hours. I’m 14 now. Still love this game, one of the best ever created
Someone needs to make a romhack of this game where the SA-X has the power grip. You think it's scary now? Just wait till it can fallow you through those tight corner you used to escape it! I however, will not be that person to make said hack, I can't even code my way out of a wet paper bag.
Power grip may be a lot. Let's start with the bombs and bomb jumps.
Are all of these recent uploads an early Christmas present?
As far as I know, SA-X does not actually care about Samus. It just naturally wants to kill metroids because (Insert reason here)
The SA-X is still an X-Parasite and Metroids are their natural predators. And the Omega Metroid is 100% Metroid while Samus isnt, thus making the target the Omega Metroid. Also, the Metroids were made by the Chozo to fight the X, whose homeplanet was SR388, which the Chozo didnt tell anyone (not even Samus and possibly not even Mother Brain) and after Metroid (Zero Mission), Samus was sent to SR388 to exterminate the Metroids, thus allowing the X to prosper again. So in Hindsight the Chozo fucked up big time while saving the Universe
One of the fan-written versions of Fusion I've read has the SA-X actually able to communicate with Samus, and the one you fight at the end of the game actually respects her combat prowess to a degree, and 'saves her' because it wants to be the one to deal the final blow. Go look up 'Metroid IV: Alone in the Stars' on fanfiction.net if you want an interesting take on this game.
really enjoyed your gameplay and the comments you put in the video. really does bring memories of when I used to play it back then.
You FINALLY made a video about this game!!! This game’s horror aspect always seemed like the kind of thing you’d talk about. Enjoyed the video, what an amazing game.
E
Especially since I was getting back into the game and it’s atmosphere recently.
Thanks man
Great work!! I'm always pleased to watch your videos! A small discrepancy I noticed however is @11:18 The SA-X is using the Ice Beam not the Spazer (the Spazer was simple an upgrade that made your shots shoot 3 beams by default) that's why it can freeze and severely damage damage Samus. Metroids (in this case Samus as well) aren't weak to Fire which is what Plasma of the Plasma beam which would be much weaker (lore-wise) against Metroids as they have great resistances to every element except Cold. SA-X can't use the Gravity Suit because Samus never had it as seen in the opening scene she's seen with the Varia suit. @16:46 Well I wasn't the brightest but I didnt expect that wall to blow up too!
In Super Metroid, the Plasma Beam can be used with the Ice beam.
From what I heard on the Metroid Wiki. The metroid that attacks you in the final part of Super Metroid, is the baby metroid that Samus was raising from Metroid II, which is now in adulthood. Before it killed Samus, it suddenly noticed that Samus was her mother basically, and stopped attacking her.
Also, because of you Whoisthisgit, and some other youtube videos of Fusion, I decided to finally get a rom to play Metroid Fusion, and man was it a fun but difficult game the bosses! But after about 2 days, I finally managed to beat it, and it felt so goood! I'll def be buying a actual copy of the game!
There is only one thing i really want to know after watching this
Who on the federations board of directors (or whatever it is) thought that going up against 10 parisitic copys of the most dangerous bounty hunter in the galaxy was a good idea? Let alone physically possible?
In super metroid, I did some stuff I was not supposed to I think. When adventuring past the first few sections and getting to Norfair, I explored and thought I found most of the upgrades. I realized though that there was no way to get back to where I originally came right before Norfair. I found out about wall jumping and tediously did that instead of freezing the flying enemies because I skipped the freeze gun. So many times I used wall jumping to skip parts and so many times I got scared of forever being stuck. This just showed me how mean the game is sometimes.
I always have thought about the sa-x has some of Samus's memories and tries to wipe out the metroids (since the memory is still fresh from Super) and sees Samus as another metroid to kill (mimicking the way you kill them) and goes on a blind rampage when reaching the breeding labs, and while fighting the omega just gets defeated by it get so weak that it becomes back the x with the suit abilities
"Do you still want to see this Samus in a bikini?"
Yes.
I'm not that person
That'd be creepily t h i c c
Edit: nevermind
I mean, you HAVE seen the fanart about Dark Samus, right? After seeing that, this wouldn't surprise me.
I mean, I saw her wear that bikini on her Varia Suit. You want that?
23:42 I didn't originally but once you brought it up I now want it more than anything in this world
Having never played any Metroid game…the footsteps…her actually turning her head (for what I believe would be the first time?) towards the player, and her eyes….just wow. That was creepy as shit!!
When i was a kid I got so scared so I had to stay with my mom that time when I saw SA-X since 2001 i think and the year 2007 when I was with my dad and his ex wife I was scared cause of the game he bought me and he said want me to return it back and no is okay still play it and but damn spider boss yakuza and nightmare was the biggest problem in that game including seeing nigtmare from the shadows i was like what heck was that nightmare took me soo long to beat him lol Nd now moving back to SA-X I shoot the missles to sa-X no effect even with freeze that son of gun unfreezed in few seconds and I got even more scared lol but it was fun to mess around when sa- X caughts you
It's more scary than creepy but the Behemoth and King Behemoth boss fights in Mario Sports Mix
Dang it. I'm watching this at midnight and those Ridley screams are gonna wake everybody up lmao
I'm not usually too big on the survival horror genre, but I love this game.
OKAY WHY IS THERE SO MUCH METROID FUSION CONTENT BEING MADE AROUND THE TIME I ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME
SA-X Plasma beam : now where is that noise coming from
SA-X and the power bomb : I’ve got you in my sight
I like to think the SA-X lives on in samus's mind and talks to her during her adventures.
You should do a video on Metroid Prime 2 at some point! It has a good spook factor to it, with its desolate world and constant feeling of isolation, the looming threat, the lovecraftian monsters, the theme of life vs death, a mindless lookalike following you around... And more!
Now I realize something: this a PG-13 version of John Carpenter’s: The Thing meets Ripley Scott’s: Alien.
I love this game, it’s really fun.
Halfway through this vid and man, I’m loving it. I hope the rest of your vids are like this! Really creepy! :)
I was about to say. The whole game is a creepy moment.
I tried beatinh this *very loud* game but as Metroid typically does for me, I got Stuck and gave up
Naturally, the Metroids killed the SA-X in the lab. Despite being Samus, it was still an X which the Metroids were designed to counter.
Too bad Adam the computer said there was about 10 SA-X on board
