LOOOOVE the glare that the Kings gave Galen when they found out that Connor and his crew were alive. Galen probably fed them some lies to make it look like Jax was the bad guy.
Galen was a great villain but he made the same mistake Jimmy made, he thought he was untouchable and let his foolish pride take over. You gotta be on your game with a player like Jax. He was the king of the double double cross in this show.
The writing when Galen died was so stupid.Only an idiot would want members around after all he did.They could have killed him off in a more realistic way where the club could legit outsmart him.

This is how they survived for 30 years against the British army. SAS(British special forces) would rarely ever catch IRA commanders off guard like that, let alone a Californian biker crew.

For those who didn’t understand why the Kings were surprised that Jax didn’t kill Connor and their other guys... Jax , as he took the Connor’s phone to call the Kings, they thought that he kidnapped them just to get their attention but after the call, Galen must’ve told them that he might probably kill them as an act of revenge after they killed two of his crew. After that, they blew up the clubhouse as retaliation. But when jax told them he would release Connor and his crew, they understood that Galen manipulated them to cut the ties with samcro for good. We see in the look at the Kings faces that they were really in shock. That’s why you shouldn’t trust a man who has a personal issue with your business partners, you never know if they will react personally or professionally to the situation

The thing that bugged me more than anything about that whole arc was any time they were supposed to be in 'Oireland', it was patently Cali with an ND filter on the lens and a really old land rover they dug up somewhere masquerading as a police vehicle. "We haven't the budget to film in Ireland" "That's OK, just make everything dark, no one will notice it's really a backlot outside LA". That and the awful accents.

The IRA and MC had a strong relationship in the show dating back decades through John Teller getting in good with the Irish and establishing a charter in Belfast to help run guns between Ireland and Northern Cali. From the show's storyline, it makes sense. Just two organizations seeing major profit.

The notion that they'd have a feud with some random American biker gang is ludicrous.
