What I like about this series is like, the first couple seasons you can tell Jax is hesitant in about killing and hurting the bad guys brutally and stuff like that, but over the time of the series, that all fades away to the point where it doesn't phase him anymore.
Jax is essentially the living moral of this story. You become a monster when you walk down this road.

Gemma actually killed Jax when you think about it, she killed Tara and lied about everything and because of it, it sent Jax on a revenge spree that resulted in his death

+Matt Lister I don't understand why a lot of people say he turned into a monster. He didn't really change at all. In the beginning he was still killing and beating the fuck out of people. Either he was always a monster, or I believe, he was always a man who wanted to do right by both of his families, blood and kutte.
He was a man who carried the whole world on his back and did what he thought was right for the good of his family, brothers and his sons. I've watched the entire series twice now, and should I be in Jax's shoes, I'd have done the exact same shit.

Jax's total kill count in the series was 43, the closest are Chibs, Tig, Happy and Opie who racked up 20 something each, haha, the weirdest protagonist ever but you gotta love him.

Finaly, after thinking a little bit, there's a big moral against violence in this show, even if we can see it all along the serie.
I just remember the "Head before bullets" behind Jax on the reunion room, it shows that none of their problems can be resolved without killing people, and that's the reason others soa members dies, because violence is a vicius circle, and when we take something or somebody to someone else, something or something gonna be taken from us.
An exemple where you can see this (called Talion's law "an eye for an eye") is when Jax get revenge from Bobby's death and cut the eye of the guy. Best serie ever though.

The character, Jax Teller was a legend. He was smart, cunning & deadly. I loved the show but i was really let down as i'm sure many fans were by the ending. It could have been better but regardless, such an amazing show
around the last 3 episodes, i knew he was gonna kill himself, especially when he started fixing the bike his dad died in

I don't think he planned on going out like that. Think he wanted to get what he deserved(jail time for life) and put on a big scene so his kids in the future will look up his name on whatever device they have to see he was truly a bad man.... He just saw the big truck and was triggered to just do it.
I do agree that the ending fit, i just wish it did end with tara taking the kids away and jax leaving with the mc on a good note and being a dad. It is what it is, still a great show! Keeps you stressed and on your toes!

SOA is my life. I was born and raised with my dad being a brother of a club. His Harley in the living room every night and club members at the house all the time. Some people dog son's and talk about it's not close to reality. To those i say "they lived a different life". I was raised with the violence the guns the drugs the lifestyle and more so the code. I can't thank kurt sutter enough for bringing SOA to my life.
It is not close to reality though is it? Anyone committing murders so free and happy would be in the chair by end of S1. It is not close to reality because the police/FBI and the mob would shut them down in a sec.
You say that but there are scores of members here that have said it is fantasy, not that you need a cut to be able to see that. Biker gangs were involved in stuff, sure, but not to this level. And like I said, the countless gun battles and murders, especially with the rafts of forensic goodies they leave behind this is a good series but it is no less believable than the Avengers

if you don't already know how much this show resembles Hamlet by Shakespeare. he goes from a young kid trying to do what he thinks is best for the club, but he continues using that same line to justify his murders. he turned into a cold blooded murderer after he found out clay killed his dad, and after Tara gets murdered he loses control and kills whoever he wants. great song that goes with this

No, not at all. At the first episode, Jax was truly OK with the club's direction. After he finds John's book and birth of Abel changed him to put the club in its right way.
Just recently finished the show and i know i'm late but what an emotional experience, this is like the downward spiral of Jax and i loved the ending of the show, he lost everyone he truly loved except their sons, he finally wanted to give into Tara's wish and let them get out of Charming cause i'm sure he blamed the love of his lifes death partially on himself cause he always gave Tara false promises of leaving Charming which ultimately killed her, he lost his bestfriend and dad to the club and his mother was satan lol, the way ended was perfect because after all the shit he has done and amount of people he killed it wouldn't make sense to give him a happy ending but in a way it was cause he was killing himself to be reunited with the people who truly loved and gave all for the club but died. Also i do not understand why people hate Tara so much, you have to understand her from a mothers point of view i mean thier kids were kidnapped and nearly blown up and she herself was brutally murdered by their crazy grandmother, she wanted to get them out and live a normal life. This was such a fantastic show

Poor Jax he should have never had to endure the pain of any of the situations that came, he lost his family causing him to lose his sanity through it all. At first he was a violent person but wanting to become a decent human being getting out of guns and drugs, and get his family away from it all. When I watched it again I even seen that Jax tried to even let Gemma be with Nero to change her ways and be happy with someone that truly loves her and be one big family too bad it never happened and his fate turned for the worst.

Glory Mosby Yup! Haha enjoy!! The first 3 seasons had me at the end of my seay, the last 4 are an emotional roller coaster. I recommend watching the entire series more than once. I would watch it soon though if I were you! Disney owns FX (which owns SOA) and disney made their own streaming service which is coming in a few months so it may not be on Hulu for very long!
Of all the deaths in the Sons of Anarchy, Tara's was the most heart breaking. So many times I wanted to knock some sense into Jax. I have an alternate version of the show in my mind. Jax is still a badass, but he does it right. Clay still dies, because I hated him. Ope does die, but in a more heroic way than what was on the show. Above all, Tara doesn't die.

Jax hearing Able at the end about Tara death is what i believe is what really broke him and made him into a monster. He was doing everything to go right n become good but at that moment everything was tossed out of the window. First opie than Tara
I think he became a moster after taras death, killing anyone he thought was involved in any way to taras murder and showing no remorse to even innocents. But when abel told him about gemma i think thats when he gave up and decided he cant go on anymore.
