- The Most Reverend David G. O’Connell is the Episcopal Vicar of the San Gabriel Pastoral Region, one of the five Pastoral Regions in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He was appointed Titular Bishop of Cell Ausaille and Auxiliary Bishop in 2015.
Bishop O’Connell received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Philosophy and English Literature from the University College Dublin in 1975, a Bachelor of Divinity from Maynooth College in 1977 and a Masters of Spirituality from Mount St. Mary's College in 1987.
Bishop O’Connell will be presenting some thoughts and reflections on the rebuilding of the universal church in this time of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hard to imagine that he would be dead within a year of this talk and that, I think, he would call for us to forgive the troubled person who took his life. He noted we cannot do this on our own - we need God's help so we bring the pain of his death to our Lord and ask for his ability to forgive.

Hi John. Are you a Corkman? I joined the Pres Brothers in 1975 and did my novitiate at Mount St. Joseph in Cork City, but I grew up in Chicagoland - so you were going one direction and I was going the other. This fellow reminds me of my novice master at the Mount. His name was Bro. Angelus Fitzpatrick.
Well, I was only in the brothers for three years before I left for a more normal life. But I still remember Bro. Angelus. The holy ones leave a big impression. And this bishop no doubt left many big impressions.

I'm extremely grateful 💕 to the Irish Missionaries who came to India n without them me n my sister wouldn't be where we are today. They gave us a roof on our heads food on the table n an Education. This was done after the World War II n lots of our families suffered. However regarding Bishop David O Connell May his soul rest in peace. He has done 👍 his hard work. It bring tears to my eyes to think such a kind n generous Bishop n Priest had to face such a gruesome murder. However a loss for us n a gain for JESUS CHRIST n his Angels.
