The Masonic Lodge does not address the things that Fr Pacwa lists because it is NOT a religion of any kind. It is only a fraternity of good men whose principles are taught through ritualistic allegory with the aim of making good men better men. I was raised Catholic and I am a Mason since 1984 and I have never heard any anti-Catholic discussion in Masonic lodges or activities whatsoever. The name Jesus appears nowhere in Masonic ritual. Once again it is not a religion any more than a football team, so why would it appear?

The Catholic Church's current norm on Masonic associations is the 1983 CDF Declaration on Masonic associations. The 1983 CDF declaration states that Catholics "who enroll in Masonic associations are in a state of grave sin and may not receive Holy Communion."
Near the time that the 1983 CDF declaration was released, bishops' conferences in Germany and America also released independent reports on the question of Freemasonry. The conclusions of the German Bishops' Conference (DBK) in its 1980 report on Masonry and cited by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in its 1985 letter included that "research on the ritual and on the Masonic mentality makes it clear that it is impossible to belong to the Catholic Church and to Freemasonry at the same time."
The 1917 Code of Canon Law (1917 CIC), explicitly declared that joining Freemasonry entailed automatic excommunication de facto.

David Moeller y’all believe in the grand architect. Foolish man this is not the Christian God. Freemasons are deists. Plus Jesus said don’t take secret oaths, much less blood oaths like y’all take as a threat if you reveal the secrets. The whole religion is designed so the lower levels don’t know the true beliefs of the higher degrees. You don’t know the history of the fraternity. I assume you’re only in one of the first three degrees. The only help you should be calling for, widows son, is that of Our Lord and Our Lady. Otherwise you are in a state of grave sin and your soul is in peril.

To my Honorable and Noble Catholic Family. Do not let the preaching of Freemasonry falsehoods; destroy your sensibility and recognition of truth. I write to you today under the precepts of a Good Samaritan. I am a Roman Catholic and Freemason. In the interest of brevity: Freemasonry is the act of developing Observant, Sagacious and Divine Wisdom. I should not have to remind you; the Bible clearly teaches wisdom is a gift from God. In contrast; the catholic church (does) teach historical, Divine wisdom; but (forbids) you to develop; observant and sagacious wisdom directly with God.
If you want the simple truth: In order for the Catholic church to sustain its wealth. They specifically, (prevent large groups of parishioners,) from developing the spiritual abilities and wisdom of King David or King Solomon. They purposely stand in between you and the accumulated knowledge of God. They have become your permanent (interpreter) for Gods activities and creation.
As a Good Samaritan/Freemason: In my heart and in good concision: I can not stand idly by and watch the Catholic church attack Freemasons without delivering the truth. The fight between the Catholic church and Freemasons started, when the Poor Knights of Christ: (Templar knights, ) returned from the Holy Land. If you study history, you will discover the Templar Knights acquired great wealth and established a modern democracy among its members. This threatened the Feudal system enjoyed by the Catholic church and the Royal monarchs of Europe. Historically, the Catholic church has never been an architect or builder of democracy.: They attack Freemasons , because without them; there would be no democracies. In addition; It makes no difference to them, if democracy fails around the world. You have already surrendered your spiritual development and small portions of your critical thinking to them; in contradiction to the wisdom and teachings of Jesus Christ.
In closing: They want you to ignore Catholic Priest raping children. They want you to ignore their active participation with Nazis. They want you to ignore the hundreds of murders of Gods children, during the Holy Inquisition. They want you to ignore their clever condoning of slavery, ect, ect, ect, Remember: Freemasonry has no such history. God Bless you.

@Instaurare Omnia In Christo Obviously you can read and write, but you can not defend your mind from: Ignorance, Tyranny, and Fanaticism, Start with the History of the Knights Templar's, and combine it with observant and sagacious wisdom. You should recognize the pattern and policies used by the Catholic church to retain religious control over its parishioners and wealth.

    • @TheRealist2022
      @TheRealist2022 Před 3 lety +2

@Instaurare Omnia In Christo It's important to recognise that "Regular" Freemasonry, as per the United Grand Lodge of England and all Grand Lodges who share the same principles and Tenets, is not in opposition to any church, has never and will never infiltrate. There is no point. We are able to practice our craft without the influence of any religion and, indeed, this is a requirement. No religious or political discussion is permitted at our meetings.
Freemasonry in Italy, at the time that Alta Vendita was written (by an RC zealot, by the way...so no bias THERE, then!) was in a state of disarray and fell well below the requirements for "Regularity" that membership of Freemasonry requires. As a result, it was not recognised by us and as such, it was NOT Freemasonry.
Sadly, there are many organisations, claiming to be, or mistaken for, Freemasonry. They are not. After all, I could CALL myself a chair. That does not make me a chair!
Please don't tar us all with the same brush.
Sorry...but the hatred only goes one way. The Catholic Church hates Freemasonry...but we have no problem with them.

@Instaurare Omnia In Christo I really feel sad for your soul. You think you know what your talking about, but you don't. Equally poignant is your attitude and refusal to adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus never asked Lazarus, or the blind man if he was a Freemason, catholic, or sinner before he healed them. But, you now feel, you know more than God and Jesus Christ. lol Let me explain it in terms you can understand. Sinners don't fight with the church for their rights to attend, or participate in church activities. I think I have made it very clear: I am a Roman Catholic and the church is discriminating against me. So you go run and tell anyone you want. I imagine when Jesus turned over the tables in the temple. They had someone just like you in attendance.
In closing, Maybe you should consider: if you have been duped. if you are so sure I lied about the church's history: then please explain in detail.

@Ann G. It may be the best......apart from it being wrong.
He says that we claim our origins are from the stonemasons guilds of the middle ages. No we don't. Know why? Because NOBODY KNOWS how we started...it's a suggestion that we emerged from them..in fact it is probable, in my view.. but we do not claim it as fact.
He says Freemasonry is anti-Catholic. Wrong again. We don't have any problem with Catholics. Some of them have a problem with us. If we had a problem with Catholics, we'd stop them joining...but we don't. We do not bar entry to any man based on his religious belief, provided he believes the universe was created by a supreme being. That is the primary requirement. All of my family were raised Catholic. I don't have a problem with them!
He says Freemasonry formed in 1717. Wrong again. That was a significant event for Freemasonry, in that the first GRAND Lodge was formed. Freemasonry existed way before that. In fact the first RECORDED making of a Mason was in 1646!
He says we formed a "secret society". Wrong again. How can a "secret society exist", when we have a huge building in central London, with UNITED GRAND LODGE OF ENGLAND plastered all over it, with it's own website and even running free tours of the place for anyone, several times a day, most days of the year? This place has rental space available. There are book readings, lectures, fashion shows and even MOVIES being made in there! DAN BROWN held a lecture there! Would a "secret society" REALLY do all that? Hardly.
He says there are more than 33 Degrees. Wrong again. If any society has a 34th Degree or more.. it is NOT Freemasonry.
I'm only 7 minutes in to his section about Freemasonry and have found so much inaccuracy that I don't feel I need to go any further to prove my point that he is talking complete and utter nonsense. Anyone who makes even these most BASIC of mistakes, clearly has not researched the subject in earnest. He is regurgitating the same tired old conspiracy theories that abound on these pages on YT...the ones I've been debunking for years. He is also relying on the blind faith of the audience in him, as a "man of god" and their on their superstitious gullibility.
I could go on, but you would probably be bored stiff. On the other hand, if you have any questions about Freemasonry, I'd be only too happy to answer them. We're very open and almost NOTHING is private among Masons.

There's fallacy in your reasoning bro, sorry to say.
      But regarding freemasonry, I think that Pope Leo XIII in his encyclical Humanus Genus IS VERY CLEAR ABOUT the Church position, let me quote the docs ;
      Quote...
      6. For as soon as the constitution and the spirit of the masonic sect were clearly discovered by manifest signs of its actions, by the investigation of its causes, by publication of its laws, and of its rites and commentaries, with the addition often of the personal testimony of those who were in the secret, this apostolic see denounced the sect of the Freemasons, and publicly declared its constitution, as contrary to law and right, to be pernicious no less to Christiandom than to the State; and it forbade any one to enter the society, under the penalties which the Church is wont to inflict upon exceptionally guilty persons. The sectaries, indignant at this, thinking to elude or to weaken the force of these decrees, partly by contempt of them, and partly by calumny, accused the sovereign Pontiffs who had passed them either of exceeding the bounds of moderation in their decrees or of decreeing what was not just. This was the manner in which they endeavoured to elude the authority and the weight of the apostolic constitutions of Clement XII and Benedict XIV, as well as of Pius VII and Pius IX.(10) Yet, in the very society itself, there were to be found men who unwillingly acknowledged that the Roman Pontiffs had acted within their right, according to the Catholic doctrine and discipline. The Pontiffs received the same assent, and in strong terms, from many princes and heads of governments, who made it their business either to delate the masonic society to the apostolic see, or of their own accord by special enactments to brand it as pernicious, as, for example, in Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Bavaria, Savoy, and other parts of Italy.
      Unquote
      www.vatican.va/content/leo-xiii/en/encyclicals/documents/hf_l-xiii_enc_18840420_humanum-genus.html
Read carefully.... it forbade any one to enter the society, under the penalties which the Church is wont to inflict upon exceptionally guilty persons.
So basically when you call yourself a freemason-Catholic, it is NONSENSICAL statement !!!!
Logically a heretic should be outside the Church !

In order to accomplish this; your mind has to develop observant, and sagacious wisdom. For example: Do you enjoy living in a democracy?
In fact, lets imagine you are in the Biblical story: the man on the road to Jericho. And you have been injured spiritually and intellectually. When God sends the Good Samaritan to aid you. Is this a Divine act; in your eyes?

      Respectfully submitted.

There was a huge Freemason global conference in Brisbane Australia during the early 1990's. Sorry I can't remember the exact year. Just about every member of our Councils, Local and State Governments attended as active Freemasons. It wasn't hidden, it was proudly proclaimed on the front page of our newspapers, with large photos of those attending.
That event was an eye opener as to the extent of the large numbers of our elected members of council and government who are active members of that well known secret society Freemasonry. Quite a few other VIP's also attended as active Freemasons and probably many of our Federal politicians attended as well, although I can't remember as I was too astonished by the vast number of our local politicians who were proudly showing themselves to be Freemasons.
They are everywhere. Not a whisper from anyone as to why our elected council and government members were part of a secret society that they had sworn oaths to obey. This should be illegal! These members of council and government have sworn oaths to serve the people and communities, however they have also sworn their oaths of allegiance to the secret society of Freemasonry. One cannot serve two masters.

The only "oaths" we swear are not to reveal the sign, grip and word of the Degree being worked. There's no "promise to obey".
WHAT should it be illegal? A desire to morally improve? A wish to be extensively serviceable go our fellow man? Millions and millions raised for deserving people to whom life has dealt a shitty hand?

Aleister Crowley also claimed to be a 33 degree mason, some deny it, although there is some interesting correspondence from the Blue Brotherhood tucked away on the internet concerning this if one looks. There are also ample amounts of ex-masons who condemn it. It has been for a long time, and remains, a good old boy’s club, as opposed to the fraternity it was designed to be. No you don't swear a binding oath (call it an obligation if you like, it's merely semantics) to obey, but you do swear a binding oath (obligation) not to reveal lodge matters and customs and to "help" fellow masons.
Let's say the mason is a judge and the defendant before the judge is a mason and the lawyers are masons, do you mean to say that they wouldn't "help" out their fellow mason? They've sworn a binding oath (obligation) to do so. There will always be doubt! That's why our politicians and judiciary shouldn't be a part of it.
Riddle me this: If Masonry is so good why are the many politicians that are members so crap and untrustworthy? They are like a mirror that reflects your "high standards" of recruitment.
Face it, it's a networking old boys club that is hierarchical in structure and openly admits to deceiving those members of lower rank. In the higher ranks, it seeks to manipulate our lives without our consent, or by using manufactured consent. It should be illegal for politicians and judiciary to be members of any such secret society or fraternity, most especially as such a large majority of them are freemasons. FULL STOP!

But even if I were an Entered Apprentice who had only ever attended one meeting, I'd still be more qualified to comment on Freemasonry than you. Why is it that you people, non-Masons, always seem to think you know more about Freemasonry than those of us that are? You go on about us being super-secret.. if that is so, how do YOU know anything about it? You can't have it both ways, Gloria. The fact is, you know NOTHING but do not wish to lose face by admitting it. That's something else that religious zealots never do...they never ever say "I don't know". That's a surefire way to know when someone is full of bull. I've never ever come across a religious person on here and on another forum. that has said to me...."I don't know". Pride is one of the seven deadly sins, you know?
I absolutely agree with you when you use the phrase "The love of money is the root of all evil". the Third Degree in Freemasonry, describes the death of a fictional character called Hiram Abiff. His integrity was such, that the secrets demanded of him would not cross his lips.. because he had sworn not to reveal them to the unqualified. It lead to his death by three ruffians from the temple. It is an allegory and underpins the fact that we all die. No matter how much wealth we have amassed, no matter the lofty positions we have achieved in life... we all come in to this like the same way and will all go out the same way. It is a way of ensuring that wealth, social status, occupational seniority are all regarded as of no importance...what is REALLY important in a man, is his integrity. So all that guff you came out with about money and power.... not at all of interest to any Freemason. We have men from all walks of life in Freemasonry. From Kings, to cleaners. From Chief Executives of multi-nationals to garbage men. Two years ago, in a Lodge I visited in Cambridge, England, there was an Initiation. The man being Initiated was a member of the House of Lords in England. The man who was the Master of the Lodge, and carrying out the ceremony was a Taxi Driver. See?
All Masons regard every other Mason as their equal. It would be nice if society as a whole adopted the same standards, don't you think?

Hahaha! The Catholic church operates under the guise that they can excommunicate a person thus withholding thier salvation! Please tell me how they have the authority to take away something that was freely given by God; the creator of all things. Meanwhile... they vilify Freemasonry simply because it allows men of all nations, religions, races, and creeds to congregate as Brethren created by a "Supreme being" who created all things. I am Christian and refer to that Supreme being as God. I believe what I do because I choose to; not because I'm all knowing. That means that Muslims are allowed thier beliefs, Hindus are allowed thier beliefs, Pagans are allowed thier beliefs, Jews are allowed thier beliefs and we still congregate as brothers and refuse to discount another man's worth simply because he believes differently than I do. That is more Christ like than any "establishment" that believes they can withhold your salvation for many various reasons. Freemasonry is not a religion and the tie that binds is a man's belief in a Supreme being that is the creator of all things. The only men who are not accepted are atheist and that is because they do not believe in a creator that holds them accountable for thier actions. People like this constantly speak on what they do not know and that is no different than lying. I refuse to follow a liar and your relationship with God will prosper when you open your eyes and take the same stance. The Catholic organization vilifies every set of beliefs that is not thiers while playing the victim. If you're able to step back, put emotions aside, and really see the big picture it should make you sad and upset.

There are at least two distinct associations of Freemasons - besides the numerous unauthorized, self-proclaimed, and fraudulent "masonic" organizations. The oldest "Lodge" is in Scotland & the oldest "Grand Lodge" of Masons is based in London (UGLE) - both of which are part of the largest worldwide association of Grand Lodges, Lodges, and Freemasons which believe in God & who cite the Holy Bible as their "rule and guide." The Grand Orient of France was founded about 50 years after the London Grand Lodge, but, by the 1870s, it no longer asked new members if they believed in deity. Thus, for about 150 years, GOdF has assembled a large association of Grand Lodges, Lodges, and members who practice Freemasonry without reference or deference to God. Is it necessary for me to explicate that the UGLE has long claimed that the French Grand Orient is not at all "masonic"? GOdF has lovely buildings & long traditions that have preserved some antique forms of Masonic ceremonies, but, from a legal & "Masonic" perspective, the Grand Orient has long violated one of our most important "Landmarks" - declaration of belief in God. Finally, regarding the many unauthorized masons & lodges, which came into existence only by their own authority - and often for fraudulent activity - the UGLE has nothing to say except that such are not at all Masonic. My own understanding is that a truly "Masonic" association would have appropriate relationships with UGLE & its members. Even a connection to GOdF would be better than no connection at all!
Now, in such context, please explain which "masons" are doing what. To say that "Freemasons control something or another" or "Freemasons want to rule the world" are apparently vague & inaccurate statements, as we do not know who you are accusing. Further, any such accusations are generally so vague that no one believes you anyway.
As a Freemason who believes in God & my country, clings fast to my wife & family, and finds ways to help my neighbors & even strangers, I must assume, when one makes ugly accusations about Masons, that one must be referring to one or more of the "clandestine" or illegal so-called "masonic" groups that are extant. It's great for you, as you are free to announce the most terrible & vague accusations against "masons" - without regard for whether the perpetrators are actually Freemasons!

You only need to read the comments sections of various videos on here on the subject of Freemasonry. Of course, with those people, they hate everyone and everything that ISN'T Catholic. They preach love, understanding, etc. and yet are among the most hateful, nasty and spiteful people I have ever come across.
I have debated with these people. It's like trying to nail jello to the ceiling. I inform them of various things that they have wrong. their stock response is "you're lying". I even ask them to apply logic, reason and the balance pf probability to my statements. It's a blanket "you're lying".
I KNOW Freemasonry, Sir. I am a Grand officer of the United Grand Lodge of England a 33rtd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. they have a basic assumption that Freemasonry is a religion. I assure you that it is not. I also know the Catholic faith, having been brought up in a family of Catholics. I went to a Catholic school. I even served on the altar as a boy!
Your # 1. Do you ask the Dallas Cowboys if they believe in the holy trinity? No. Then why are you making that statement about us? Because we have about as much to do with religion as the Dallas Cowboys do! Why should we have any religious? We are NOT a religious society. We have plenty of Catholics in Freemasonry, that believe as you do. We have others who do not. but those men do not use these differences to create any division... why? Because it is not at all relevant in Freemasonry. It's not as if Freemasonry teaches that the holy trinity is wrong.. it does not. You should not listen to "the talk". Gossip (and let's face it, is IS gossip) is evil.. .. "the devil makes work for idle hands".. yes?
Personally, I do not believe in organised religion. I do not believe that with our tiny tiny minds (by comparison) are capable of communicating in ANY way, or having ANY sort of relationship with whatever it is that created the entire universe. So if I don't believe in an organised religion, what would I be doing in Freemasonry? If I REALLY believed that Freemasonry was a religion, I most certainly would not be a member.
I have answered quite a few points in Fr. Mitch's talk (I didn't do the whole talk because it was obvious that he wasn't going to get ANYTHING right) and have countered them all. As I said, he goes from the basic premise that Freemasonry is a religion.. this acts as a trunk for all other inaccuracies...and blind faith underpins them.... incorrectly.
I don't know why you people cannot believe that a Priest can be wrong abut something. That's something else. You guys NEVER EVER say "I don't know" when asked a question about your religion or anything allied to it. You all know all of the answers to everything. Why? Because your arrogance will not allow you to show any lack of knowledge.
Believe what you like.. but if you continue to blindly believe someone, just because he says he's right, then you will continue to live in ignorance. Think for yourself. Have an original thought.

@@TheRealist2022 Our Lady of Fatima and the Plot of the Freemasons
“The goal [of Freemasonry] is no longer the destruction of the Church, but to make use of it by infiltrating it.” (Words of a Freemason quoted in Athanasius and the Church of Our Time by Bishop Rudolph Graber)
      December 2, 2017
      First Saturday
      Dear Friend of Our Lady,
In the early half of the 19 Century secret papers of the the Alta Vendita - the highest lodge of an Italian secret society with ties to Freemasonry, called the Carbonari - were uncovered by Pope Gregory XVI.
Those papers were subsequently published at the request of Pope Gregory’s successor - Pope Pius IX, who guaranteed the authenticity of these documents.
His successor, Pope Leo XIII, in the late 1800s was presented with a copy of a book that contained the full text of the documents written by the Alta Vendita.
The documents are called The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita, which is the title of the enclosed book that we are pleased to be able to send to you.
This book contains excerpts from the secret documents of the Alta Vendita which outline the plot of these enemies of Christ to infiltrate and defeat the Catholic Church from within.
The plans were formulated once the enemies of the Church realized that they would never succeed in completely destroying the Church. Their alternative was to remove the influence of the Church in society, while simultaneously using the Church to further its own demonic anti-Christ agenda.
Successive popes, beginning in the late 18 Century and the through the reign of Pius XII (1939-1958), continually warned the Catholic faithful about the evils of freemasonry.
The enclosed book by John Vennari was first published in 1999, during the pontificate of John Paul II. It was evident then, that the freemasons had succeeded in their plans to infiltrate the Church with a pope leading the Church on the plotted path of “renewal” - or in the case of John Paul II, “a new springtime”. That is, a pope whose pontificate was allowing the promotion of liberal Catholic ideas.
Although in comparison to the current Pope (Francis), John Paul II seems tame. Nonetheless, a lot of the groundwork for what is happening today was laid and accomplished during John Paul II’s pontificate and the two pontificates preceding his - Paul VI with his introduction of the Novus Ordo Missae and John XXIII
with the Second Vatican Council, which opened the door for these enemies.
John Vennari agreed to allow Our Lady’s apostolate to publish this book and send it out to our supporters. Upon reading it, it becomes obvious why the popes have warned repeatedly for centuries about the evils of Freemasonry.
This book makes it evident that the plans of these evil men have been realized and helps explain what is happening in the Church today, and why we have a pope in Rome speaking everything that is New World Order and not much - if anything at all - that is Catholic.
Our Lady of Fatima and the Plot of the Freemasons
But, of course, the freemasons would not have succeeded as far as they have if the Message of Fatima had not been ignored by the Catholic laity and hierarchy.
Indeed had Our Lady’s Message been heeded and the Consecration of Russia now done, the words and deeds of the freemasons would be a thing of the past. They would have been defeated without ever having achieved so much of their goal.
To stop their continuing advance under the banner of the New World Order we need the Consecration of Russia.
And as you know, in order for the Consecration to happen, Catholics need to do their part - that is, we need to do the five things Our Lady asked of us: amend our lives, wear the Brown Scapular, pray the Rosary every day, offer sacrifices for sinners and make reparation for sin (especially the 5 blasphemies committed against Her Immaculate Heart), particularly with the Five First Saturdays Communion of Reparation.
For more copies of the book, The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita, return the enclosed reply form or call us at 1- 800-845-3047.
      Historic Moscow Conference
By the grace of God, through the intercession of Our Lady, and thanks to the prayers and sacrifices of our apostolate supporters - WE DID IT! - we made it to Russia for our first conference, held in Moscow on November 4 - 5, 2017! And what a moving experience it was.
We heard some hard truths first-hand from the two Russian speakers - Stanislav Protasenko and Elena Chudinova - and from another speaker who grew up under Communism in the Eastern bloc country of Czechoslovakia - now called the Czech Republic - Michal Semin.
One thing made clear is that all the talk here in North America about the fall of Communism is just that - talk.
You recall that the puppets of the enemies of Fatima, the World Apostolate of Fatima (formerly the Blue Army) and other socalled ”Fatima” groups, use the argument of the “fall of Communism” to support spreading the false notion that the Consecration of Russia has already been done.
Father Gruner and Our Lady’s apostolate has been saying for decades that not only is Communism not gone in Russia, but it has successfully spread around the world, as Our Lady of Fatima warned it would.
But since these puppet organizations for the enemies of Fatima - even within the Church - won’t listen to the only organization in the world working full time to spread the full Fatima Message, maybe they will listen to those who actually live in Russia.
Most of the conference talks are now available on our website. The next issue of The Fatima Crusader, Issue 120, will focus on the Moscow conference. Be sure to watch the mail for your copy, which should arrive shortly after Christmas.
May you and your family have a holy and penitential Advent, and a blessed and joyous Christmas.
In the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts,

      Joanna Swords
      Manager, Volunteer Department

What about the secret oath though? Why do you need a secret oath? I personally know at least one Mason who attends the church for my father is a pastor he's a good man, but I asked him a couple questions about the Masonic order at one point when I was actually interested in possibly joining... He told me that there were certain things that he could not discuss on the pain of some rather serious penalties with people who are not in the Masonic order. My only question to you is why would this be? What would those penalties entail? To be quite honest he seemed rather uneasy when he was telling me this. :( Why all the secrecy? That's kind of what keeps me skeptical on the whole issue I spoke with my dad about the possibility of joining the Masons and he gave me his advice as a pastor he said not to do it because it would be unwise. And just for reference here my family is actually Presbyterian we are Protestant. From what I can tell the only thing father paqua was wrong about was the Illuminati.... They as an organization unfortunately are still alive and well.... They did not cease to exist. Based on the rabbit hole I have jumped down and recent years as I understand it unfortunately the Illuminati has actually infiltrated some Masonic lodges... How you can tell the difference is the ones with the g in the center are the ones that have not been infiltrated and the ones with the All-Seeing eye in the center are the ones that are infiltrated and run by the Illuminati. And the ones with the g in the center are supposedly influenced by the Knights Templar. How am I doing so far in terms of my understanding on the divisions within the Masonic Order?

@@bradleyhoyt3188 Bradley, you ask why the secrecy. Let me start by telling you that in Freemasonry, almost nothing is secret. Less than 1% of it, in fact. But why that 1%? It's simply symbolic. We give the Candidate something simple to promise. The modes of recognition... the sign, grip and word of the Degree being worked. MAINTAINING that promise is the symbol of integrity.
All else can be openly discussed with anyone. Sadly, some Masons even, do not understand the contents of the obligation we take and some are perhaps a little "theatrical" as I believe your friend from church was behaving. The physical penalties contained in the obligation we take are severe.... but it is THEN explained in the same piece, that they are ANCIENT penalties and are no longer necessary. You have my word, that the absolute worst thing that can happen to a Mason, should he disclose the contents of the obligations is to be expelled. NOBODY is ever harmed due to any Masonic ceremony.
The 18th century Illuminati really does not exist any more. It only lasted for ten years ane really wasn't an evil group. They were philosophers, scientists, mathematicians and engineers that simplky got together to discuss various topics. The met in porivate tio discuss those topics and the suspicious nature of the church put paid to their meetings! Dan Brown got his hands on the idea and turned them in to bad guys, simply to add intrigue to his book. These days, there are "illuminati" websites, but these are just scams and prey on curiosity and gullibility to rip people off. Steer clear.
The square and compasses logo of which you speak, is, generally, not with a G inside it. American Masonry decided to put the G in. There's no difference at all. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with who has been "infiltrated" LOL! Oh and there is no Masonic square and compasses with an eye in the middle.
Please come back to me if you'd like to know more. As I said, almost nothing is secrt in Freemasonry and can be discussed with anyone. Or, if you like, don't take my word for it, buy a ritual book from any one of a million online Masonic retailers. Anyone can own one, you don't need to be a Mason.

Fr Mitch! I listened again Mother Angelica's word about the presence of the Lord in a holy communion and realise something awful. I moved to the US from Europe. In my culture women are still not allowed to the altar, holy communion is given only by the priest ( not anyone, like it is in the US), we kneel when accept it and never take it into our hands, mouth only, and never in our Church priest talks about the budget. In America, where comfort benches, budget, all for all I don't feel the presence of the Lord not only in the holy communion but in the whole Church. It's like people are coming to some kind of a social check in, to look good....but nothing is there, no soul...nothing. I work for 3 years teaching catechism and volunteering otherwise the in the Catholic Church (NY).. obviously everyone knew me, I never had any support or even simple friendship. My mom was in coma at that time, then she died, both of my grandma's died...I never even received a condolences card. Then when I was leaving NY state, they came crying and told me they love a me and sorry I am leaving. Where were all this
" loving" people when I needed them most?? What a hipocracy! No wonder people in the US massively leaving Catholic Church... I've seen more snow in July then true compassion here.

@N.R.B. Good morning. Your post distressed me greatly. I was raised as a Roman Catholic and experienced things very much as you did. Only the priest must give holy communion. Funny story here. When I was a boy, I served on the altar. When it came to communion, it was my job to hold a small silver plate under the chin of the recipient of the host... I forgot the plate! The Priest dropped the host on the floor! As I went to bend down and pick it up WHACK!.. the Priest knocked me over so that I couldn't touch it! I went sprawling across the church! I composed myself and that was the end of that. I told my teacher (it was a Catholic school and my altar service was organised by the teachers) I never wanted to do it again. From then on, I was shunned by some teachers. WEIRD! Around 6 years later, I was in "big school" and we had a service in the school hall.. the teachers taking communion were being given the host in their hands and then eating it!!! How has this happened? How can it be a mortal sin to handle a host and then ... it's not!?!?!? Double standards? That sort of thing..as well as the false caring for the parishioners while they have cash ...but not giving a damn about them really (your mother and your Grandmothers passing away) helped me realise that although there are lots and lots of good people who are Catholic, there are many many more who are not.
It is now my opinion that ALL organised religion is false. There is definitely a god... but organised religion really has nothing to do with him. My own faith is a private one...I don't need to belong to a group to have any sort of relationship with god.

The crisis of the Church is this. There's a cultural problem. The fact is the only acceptable political actions we can take are about abortion or LGBTQ. the Church isn't rallying people around ending real estate speculation, having a debt jubilee, publishing studies on the superiority of public health care, or any practical guidance on how to translate Christian virtues in ways that will make people's lives better, which just so happens to be the best way to convince people to come to Church. This then leads directly to problems maintaining community because the things that destroy community, primarily economic exploitation, gets no real attention for fear of alienating "conservative" Christians who buy into modernist individualism.

      Respectfully submitted.

It is a common misconception that Freemasonry is a religious organisation, because our members are required to have a belief in some sort of Supreme Being. It is assumed that the reason for this is religious, when it is in fact required to ensure a promise made by a Mason is made all the more solemn and sincere. there is no religious reason for it.
That said, every Freemason is encouraged to follow his own faith and that the faith they follow should be the highest authority in their life.
Yes, there are some Catholics in Freemasonry, but not many, as the Papal Bull issued in the 18th century forbids Catholics from being members.
