I also have a story about Our Lady of Sorrows. I am a revert and spent much wasted time away from the Catholic Church, only to be drawn back in quite powerfully and unexpectedly. I started praying the Seven Sorrows rosary about a year ago after listening to this webcast. I wanted to experience the promises Fr. Ripperger talks about, yet at the same time doubting someone like me would even be privy to them. I asked Our Lady to reveal to me my greatest defect, and like clockwork it was revealed. And just as Fr. Ripperger says, it was something totally unexpected. With Our Lady’s help, I was able to address that fault. Well, a couple of months ago my sister and I had a huge fight. We had grown up in an unstable home, and carry ‘baggage’ or wounds to this day that sometimes resurface, and we start blaming and yelling at each other. Well this fight ended with her telling me, “l’m done.” I was devastated. She had never said this before. I began praying to Our Lady to bring my sister back to me and to God. A couple of days later, I called her to say I was sorry, and to my surprise she called me back. We spoke about God and about Jesus, and my experience coming back to the Faith, and I suggest a few Fr. R webcasts. Well, a couple of days after that she reverted back to the Faith! She started praying the rosary every day, is going to Mass, and receiving reconciliation! She is “all in” and feels like her eyes have been opened. Thank you Our Lady and Jesus! 🙏 This is real!

Your story sounds like mine............same here......I am back, but this time I am here to fight against the Modernists....and I am devoted to Our Lady of Sorrows, who came to me in a dream after coming back to the church, and God told me, "I choose You." I need to keep praying to Our Lady to reveal to me what I am chosen for, and I have a feeling it has to do with the coming Chastisement and The Warning that Our Lady spoke about in Akita and what she didn't say in Knock and what she keeps telling visionairies in private revelations every day all over the world........I think many of us will become martyrs.

My 32 year old daughter died 5 years ago. I had left the church during the scandal, of which my son and daughter were victims. I distinctly remember, as my daughter passed, feeling grief for Mary, recognizing my own pain was "a sword that pierced my heart." I was beyond blessed that those words resulted in my immediate return to the church, rosary and daily mass, as had been my faith life prior to leaving. I was overcome with the shame we humans constantly partake; using one man's sins or whatever the reason, to excuse our departure from our faith. I find great solace in Mary and an immeasurable gratitude that God gave me the grace to join, albeit in a minor way, in comparison, in her suffering. I pray this will help in my journey towards sanctity. I don't believe I'll ever be able to apologize enough to God and am thankful he has given me a cross I can bare. To those mothers and fathers that have lost their beloved children, I pray maybe my viewpoint could offer them comfort and a road to make peace with your loss and gratefully join God in suffering. I’m not Catholic yet (but it’s looking like I’m on my way there, Lord willing, I start RCIA next week). Today is the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows. I realized that my father passed away years ago on this day. He had cancer and it was vicious. I remember that day being in a deep sorrow and weeping so much over my father’s body with so much emotion that I actually started having a nose bleed.

@jasonkurup5759 a convert catholic now for 11 month. All saints day it will be 1 year. The hardest and best thing that the Lord could ever do to me, is bringing me home. Beware of the attacks. Your temptation to sin will get much worse. Just push through it and ask our Lady to guide you through it.

My Grandmother had an image in her home of our lady of sorrows. She was in much pain as her death was approaching, but when she passed away, she died with with a smile on her face. Maybe she saw our lady as she was leaving this world.

my grandfather's sister died of hispanic flu. She was just a little thing, skinny and always sick, pure as a catholic girl of 100 years ago could be. Me and my sister, from a very young age heard our family members recalling how she was on her deathbed, in great pain and then all of a sudden her face changed and she could barely say in a whisper: "bella, bella..." ("she's so beautiful, she's so beautiful" in italian) and passed away with an angelic smile. So yes, i do believe without doubt that our Lady, who never leaves us alone during each day, would never abandon us in the final moments where our eternity is set.
I just lost my beloved mother unexpectedly on October 6 2022 and I'm heartbroken 😭💔. I'm praying to God for strength, healing, and resignation soon 🙏🏻. Our Virgin Mary suffered greatly yet she kept her humility and kept going. Please intercede for me mother Mary, and heal my wounds. ✝️🙏🏻

My auntie, a protestant, died recently. I was priviliged to be at her bedside, and recited the rosary, as she lay there, even as she passed away. The vicar, at her funeral, was inspired to say the Hail Mary over the coffin, even though I hadn't asked him to, and he was a Church of England vicar. Perhaps this is Our lady's way of telling me she was there for auntie.
you were our Lady's guardian angel for her. I believe that many go to hell because nobody prays for them (as told at Fatima) so you can hold great hope that she didn't perish and one day she will thank you ;-)

@@richyburnett an analogy isn't a heresy. She wasn't stating that she was angelic in nature, but that she was acting AS a guardian angel/protector. Its kind of like saying that someone who did good in a fight is like Rocky. Do we believe that they're Rocky? No, that'd be hard considering hes a fictional character. Do we believe they mimicked aspects of Rocky? Yeah. Same thing here.
If you are praying for someone constantly then you are in good company - their guardian angel prays for them constantly as well. The comparison is fair as both entities in question share the same habitual actions/characteristics.
St Thomas Aquinas was called "The Angelic Doctor". I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who's read his works that actually thinks him angelic and not human in nature.

I'm blessed to live across the street from a Traditional Catholic Church. There is a grotto that has a statue of our Virgin Mother that I can see from my living room. There a aren't to many flowers available during the long cold winter, but I try to her bring a flower 🌸 whenever I can.

You are so very fortunate to have your home across the street of a Traditional Catholic Church. 💞You should not worry about fresh flowers in winter for there are so many varieties of evergreens, evergreen cones, rose hip berries, dried blooms of various wild grasses and red dogwood branches etc. ❤️✝️💕⛪

What a beautiful gift to live across from a Traditional Church!! Has Pope Francis’ attack on the Traditional Mass affected things there at that church? I pray that they will weather this storm & stay faithful to the Traditional Mass!!! Mama Mary, in some of her apparitions, has said that when we pray a Hail Mary, it’s like giving Her a rose. When we pray a decade of the rosary, it’s like giving Her a dozen roses. And when we pray a full rosary, it’s like giving Her a garden of roses! So when you are unable to beings Het flowers during the winter months, you can send Her as many roses as you’d like right from the comfort of your home. 😉🙏🏻😇l Your Hail Mary roses can be the beautiful gift that you give the priests of that parish yo strengthen them in this battle they’re facing in keeping the Traditional. In intellect I can understand the Marian dogmas, but it's the heart and also in part in the mind the pollution from protestantism which still stains me.

Our Lady is the perfect mother!! She can never stir you wrong. Take her sweet hand and meet our Lord in ways you never imagined, let her throw her protective mantle over you and your spouse. She is truly great God wished it so, that is why the devil hates her!! To reject her is to reject God because he made her.

I lost my two precious sons. My son Noah was 15 , my 19 year old son Andy I found on my couch dead 14 months later! We were extremely close! I know Mother Mary understands my pain..knowing her suffering was even so much deeper is humbling !

I’m am so new and not a Catholic yet but I cannot wait to be baptized and confirmed. I know without a doubt, with every part of me already that this is what I want and believe. I start RCIA next week but I have already been praying the rosary everyday for a month now, going to Mass and learning all I can. I am converting from the Mormon church and thankfully, my husband who is a cradle Catholic has returned with just as much desire to renew his faith and has been following in my footsteps as well as having his own journey. This is so beautiful and I am in such wonder and awe of Our Lady of Sorrows. I need her in my life to heal and unite my family and most of all to bring them to God and his love. I have been having these cycles of crying and pain in my heart too in moments when I realize and feel how wrong I have been and how many things I’ve done wrong and just how much I am loved regardless. Just happens anywhere but I guess it’s just something I’m going through, same is happening to my husband. It feels so wonderful and sometimes overwhelming because it’s a feeling in my heart that’s hard to explain. Praying Our Lady of Sorrows rosary everyday definitely comforts me and helps me and gives me so much hope for the rest of my family to convert. I love this deeper knowledge and understanding so much. Definitely saving this to watch again and again.

My beloved mother Laura RIP 1985 experienced Virgin Mary sprinkling water on her face as she had pneumonia and couldnt drink. Few days later she said. In Spanish to me 'dolor.dolor.Virgen de Dolores me duele mi brazo'. Pain.pain Lady of sorrows my arm hurts'. When I told nurse she didnt call a doctor. 3 am she saw Jesus and Mother Mary in person due to cardiac arrest. Her faith was strong til her passing. She taught her 8 children to love Mother Mary. I am anxious to pray chaplet of Sorrows.

My father Robert ltaught us this prayer in 2014. suddenly in 2016 no speech and no pain last two days of his life and had just finished praying Divine Mercy for a cousin in law. He taught us love for Divine Mercy!!

I am very blessed to be part of our Lady of Sorrows group in my chapel, founded with the specific intention of asking for saint priests in the Church. I can absolutely assure that every promise is fulfilled (well, i can't tell for the death moment of course but still...;-) ). During my last year's ignazian spiritual exercises i had a very specific light on the third sorrow. We know that sorrows are either chastises, trials or lessons. Of course our Lady didn't need the first, barely the second but even her could learn and grow in virtue. There is a hidden gem in that sorrow and our Lady made me part of it: the third sorrow is the loss of her Son (and without knowing why she lost Him in her profound humility she tormented herself for maybe doing something that displeased Jesus, and also not knowing if and when she would find Him, this was even worse than being in hell for Her).
Well those three days of sorrow would come back to her mind and kind of console her during our Lord's burial: she then remembered that sorrow and understood how God was telling here that like that time, she would find Jesus back again at His resurrection and She could stand still, holding on to her faith. So our Lady teaches us that sometimes even in great suffering, God is hiding a secret lesson and consolation for us to find it. She never experienced joy without suffering but her suffering was somehow always mixed with the consolation of knowing she was fulfilling God's will and repairing Eve's infidelity.

I think about Jesus’ last moments with His mother prior to His agony in the garden. I think about Him telling His mother “It’s time”, then leaving her and she knew she had to let Him go. How unbelievably painful that would’ve been for anyone who loves another, but especially the Blessed Mother who infinitely loved her Divine Son with a love far greater than we can ever imagine.
Every generation will need an orthodox traditional priest like Fr Ripperger to guide the faithful.

I am so sorry for your suffering. I’ve found several YT videos by Fr. Alar from the Shrine of Divine Mercy especially helpful with my own suffering and loss. Some of his videos that helped me most include discussions about hope and the role of suffering. He often talks about St. Faustina, the timelessness of God and the timelessness of our prayers. The videos are very easy to find. Just search Fr. Alar, Shrine of Divine Mercy.
If you register with the National Shrine of Divine Mercy, they will also pray for you and your family at each Mass.

A classic talk that I very much needed to hear, especially as of late. As a person who is naturally melancholic and of sad nature, I feel I should develop a better devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. She will help us through all our sufferings in life.

Check out the book "He And I" by Gabrielle Bossis Amazon 16.95 it's a book dictated by her from our Lord. This book you say a small prayer "what do you want to tell me today Lord" and open anywhere. It will blow your mind. I say this because I also have a sensitive heart. Your post resonated. Remember our Lady always leads us to her son in a more perfect way. God bless.

Meditating on the Seven Sorrows of our Queen, is a gift from Heaven; it is is an honor to have received the intellect to able to perceive and dwell on an instrument that is consonantly a means of our sanctification through Our Lord. Such a great suffering to which we relate our own little sufferings only to bring us closer to Him whom we are not even worthy to untie His sandals

Pray Mary my mother show me your maternal love for me, keep doing each day and she will, and then God will give you the grace to understand, you will be filled with love for your creator, and his Sons mother. I am in awe of the perfectness of Out Lady. I will always know she is “blessed”. In my human love for my children, I am nothing in comparison to Our Blessed Mother. Her love is glorious.
I’ve often wondered why the Ascension of Jesus Christ wasn’t an Eighth Sorrow. After the Lord Jesus was RESURRECTED, Our Lady must have been ecstatic to have Him again and to experience all the fruition of the Biblical prophecies.
In her sinless state, she had still trusted, but her other Sorrows were often when He was away from her. I believe St. Joseph was among those who were also raised from the dead at that time. How happy she must have been to see her beloved husband again, too!
So, when the Risen Christ ascended into Heaven - I think the Church teaches it was 40 days after His Resurrection - and even though she knew she would see her Son again just as she had known when He died, she had to be apart from Him once again. There’s no way this wasn’t a Sorrow!
I also think the Church tradition says she lived eleven years more on Earth until her Assumption. Finally, the Blessed Virgin Mary and Our Lord Jesus Christ are together-and again with St. Joseph-forever. The Holy Family caring for us in their tender compassion, mercy, and power is a favorite meditation of mine!
The Seven Sorrows of Mary and praying for the Poor Souls in Purgatory have been two
spiritual practices I am committed to. For 2024 I have added an ‘adoption’ of a preborn baby in danger of abortion to my prayers for one year. How wonderful to have such a wealth of Church practices to aid our prayer lives!

I was a Methodist and a Presbyterian. Protestants do NOT have a deep rooted hatred for Mary-where in the world, Notpres Clinton, did you ever get that idea?? Protestants have a high regard for Mary, but they believe that Catholics give her too much devotion. Very little is known about Mary from the Bible. It is nice to hear all these wonderful ideas about Mary, but where did Rippinger get all his information? I believe that we gave come to know Mary better through her appearances at Lourdes, Fatima, etc. and to certain saints. Since Protestantism is sola scriptura, much of the supernatural divine is sadly overlooked.
Maybe just some people with eyesight issues.
And anti-Catholics dare to say Catholics oppress and hate women when the greatest human to ever live is Mother Mary.
