Her asking him "this is not real right" can only be described as a GREAT SUCCESS
Pamela Anderson knew what was up.
Her security did not.
If you thought the naked hotel fight scene was uncomfortable now, imagine seeing it in the theater on a 30 foot screen with 100 strangers!😂 Or even worse - on a date, or with your parents. 😂😂😂
I almost threw up laughing.
Sacha has said that they filmed the naked hotel scenes in several different places as they kept getting kicked out.
And yes they were both fully naked, incredible they didn't get arrested for public nudity.
I told my friend, in college, to take his date to this fun comedy movie lol
@@volatilemolotov2298 🤣 that's diabolical
Why were you on a date with your parents? Was it in alabama?
Pamella Anderson and the woman who played Lunelle were in on it. Pretty much everyone else was not.
They did go back and give that antique shop some money afterwards.
The scene with Pamella at the convention had to be filmed a second time with a different crowd of people because the crowd did not react enough the first time (they thought it was some kind of publicity stunt).
Which is honestly the scariest part, public "not reacting enough" to that situation unfoloding before their very eyes.... 😕
It also resulted in her divorce from Kid Rock lmfaooo.
A few of the "villagers" were obviously in on it too (his wife, his sister etc.) but they didn't know anything about the movie. Just were paid and told what to do. As for his cover, it was basically just "We're filming a documentary for Kazakhstan about life in America. This is our reporter." That's how/why he got into all these places with a camera and go to do things like sing the national anthem at a rodeo.
antiques my arse , anything older than 50 years amerricans think its old and worth anything lol, no wonder it only came to 400 dollars
I heard they only gave them two hundred and thirty dollars.
From Wiki:
Except for Borat, Azamat, Luenell, and Pamela Anderson, none of the characters are portrayed by actors Most scenes in the film were unscripted. In most cases, the film's participants were given no warning on what they would be taking part in except for being asked to sign release forms agreeing not to take legal action against the film's producers.
So, yes pretty much everyone were normal people and didn't know it was all an act. Sasha contacted Pamela and she agreed to be in the film (knowing the reality) . AFAIK, I don't think Pamela told her security about it.
There were a few legal things that happened after from the people who were on it who were very angry about being duped.
5:59 The guy in the blue shirt looked a *lot* like Lutz in Brüno though. Could've been cast as an uncredited extra, or might've been just a guy who looked a lot like him.
The frat boys tried to sue because they claimed their reputations were ruined by being taken out of context. I mean, it's pretty clear that they were racist fuccbois from what they themselves actually said, and their case got dismissed.
Yeah most famously, the young frat boys I believe. Glad to see their normalised cringey attitudes shown up for what they are. :)
@@alcor4670 not him dummy
Seems like a bs
An international shooting competition was won by Kazakhstan in Kuwait, and they played Borat's version of their national anthem! This movie was making jokes on an unsuspecting public even after its release!
Your lighting always looks like you're 2 seconds away from ascending to heaven.
Originally Kazakhstan banned this movie, but later (in 2020 I think?) the Kazakhstan tourism board adopted “very nice!” as its official slogan. The ads are on yt, and I’ll admit, it really does look very nice!
I forgot he said "I'm Kazak, I follow the hawk". That's hillarious.
There’s a very funny sequel, plus Amazon special features. Extra behind the scenes footage.
I still dont get that joke. Elaborate?
@@jpicard81
What don't you get? It's absurdist...he is claiming that all Kazakhs worship a hawk.
@@USCFlash first time watching I thought he said hulk. Yea I just dont get why saying u follow a random animal is funny. Guess that one didn't land for me
@jpicard81 The guy asked, "Are you a Muslim?" to which he replied, No, I am Kazak I follow the Hawk (instead of God). It's just another absurd made up thing about Kazakhstan,, same as exporting pubes
"We support your war of terror" was his misworded version of Bush''s "War ON Terror"
He had like 309 lawsuits because of this movie lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I saw this in the theater and was laughing so hard at the B&B scene I almost choked on popcorn and for a second honestly thought I’d die and it would be used to promote how funny this movie is🤣
I fell on the theatre floor I was laughing so much, my friends spat out their drinks lol
lol for me it was the naked wrestling scene, almost choked too!
@@guyr.6053That almost killed me too
My cousin and I were 13 and 14 and we convinced his dad to buy us tickets. During quiet parts, people were still laughing at something that happened five minutes before 😂
Choking is no joke!!! But yeah, you would have been in the news. ⚰️
Why did you skip the part, where he said, "Genuine Chocolate Face, no makeup," that line is hilarious.
You already know why.
editor did
Liberals
As crazy as the nude scene was with Borat and Azamat, I honestly never laughed harder in the movie theater in my whole life than when I saw it for the first time! The whole movie was quite an experience in the theater with non-stop, side splitting laughter
My boyfriend and I regularly say things like "oo lala" "king in the castle king in the castle, I have a chair I have a chair" and "very nice" 🤣🤣🤣
I was also traumatized by the naked fight scene 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some facts:
The movie is filmed in a village in Romania if I'm not mistaken and the people either speak Romanian or Roma (Gypsy). Sacha Baron Cohen speaks Hebrew with a weird accent while his co-star speaks Armenian.
and at the same time, Kazakhstan is an Asian country in which the film is banned because it disgraces their country and their people without even showing them.
I actually don’t quite understand why this was done, and what prevented me from filming these scenes in Kazakhstan, they are kind, friendly people. Well, apparently because Borat doesn’t look like a Kazakh,
then why come up with the idea that he is from Romania...
I have a good attitude towards any humor, but to insult an entire country and its entire people simply for no reason, to hang such a stigma on them in front of the entire planet is strange
@@ggbeats8010I was reading your comment while listening violin music
@@henrimarjoan7876 Was the violin tiny?

The Kazakh Tourism Association advertises with the slogan “very nice”.
...but you're welcome to play the indignant affected person.
Yes, it is the village called Glod. My ex girlfriend lived the next village over
1. Sacha Baron Cohen was sued by a huge proportion of the people who appear in the movie.
2. The participants were told this was a filming of a documentary about immigrants, to explain the presence of a film crew, and signed releases agreeing not to sue no matter what happened. Most still sued.
3. Only 4 people are acting. Sacha, Ken Davitian who played Azamat, Pamela Anderson and the woman who plays the prostitute/wife Luelle
4. The reason most people seem to take a long time to crack is that from 450 hours of footage they picked only the very best "stooges"
5. The "hometown in Kazakhstan" is some poor remote village somewhere on outskirts of Romania. Those people were locals who were also told it was a documentary.
6. Kazakhstan didn't enjoy the movie, but eventually realized banning the movie was counterproductive and they embraced the joke. Their tourism slogan now "Kazakhstan. Very nice." Really.
Wakadaka knows how to use google and copy/paste , respect IT (don´t misgender)
@@martinsandt1135 To google something? Nah I'm too lazy for this, just copied own comment from another Borat's reaction, cz questions are always the same
Luenell Campbell is an actor. I know her as a stand-up comic primarily, you might enjoy some of her comedy bits.
@@wakkadakka9192 hmmmmmkay 🤔
the locals in the poor remote village were actually gypsies
The guy at the chevrolet dealership in Gaithersburg MD is a friend of mine and has a huge scrapbook of his stuff from the movie. He also regularly sets up service appointments for my cobalt.
Has he ever tried giving you a Hummer or a pussy magnet?
Does he install magnets?
I read he died.....
Now you gotta watch
Team America World Police
The scene with the bear coming out of the ice cream truck and the kids screaming omg lmfao
You have to watch the second one.. It's even crazier lol. and Borat has a daughter who really steals the show.. in a good way.
Wrong, it's no where near as good
my friends and I just repeatedly yell "Very Nice!" at each other
Me too!
And who hasn't incorporated the phrase " love explosion on her chest " into everyday conversation? 😂
If you want to react to a more "chill" funny movie with Sasha Baron, you can watch "The Dictator".
I saw this film at a packed preview showing in the summer four months before it came out. We were not ready for the hotel fight scene! I laughed so hard I was struggling to breathe.
Thank you Sasha! A true comedian!
Both of your personalities are so great! I watch a decent amount of reaction content and you both are wonderful.
You guys are very genuine and intelligent. You don't get easily confused, you don't ask questions about things that have been explained, and you don't give clearly fake enthusiastic reactions.
I really appreciate you both. It's wonderful to see ppl you feel in sync with react.
I am not commenting specifically on this video, but on your channel in general.
Yall gotta watch Bruno and Borat 2 now... they are also insane but no naked 69 scene lol
Yeah, but maybe much worse 😉
@@davidladjani108 Bruno is definetly worse... lol
psych!..it's an "I scream" truck..
"You can't fight in here, this is the war room!", gets me every time.
Don't miss the sequel: "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm".
And then Bruno.
21:50 “is it done??” 😂😂😂😂😂😂I’ve NEVER been able to watch this!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To this day, I still say "pain in mine assholes". If anyone asks why I have more than one, I say I have many assholes, and you haven't seen the last. Or the first.
I love it when you watch comedies together!! It's so fun listening to you both laughing together!
You are right, this was one of his social experiment movies. With the exception of Pamela Anderson, and a few key figures in the US and the Kazakh village, most of the people had no idea it wasn't real.
So funny, thanks guys!
Great job guys. Made me smile and laugh.😊
You should check him out on the Ali G Show is pretty amazing(Not the movie so much, the actual show). His ability to convince politicians and academics to meet with him and drive them absolutely insane is just magic.
Yeh Ali G Show has 3 of his characters; Borat, Bruno and Ali G, a lot tamer but equally silly and awesome and funny. There was also a Bruno movie you should react to; it's even wackier than this one.. youll love it.. lol
7:54 I mean… *technically* that’s true, but women’s brains are also more compact than those of men, so the amount of neural connections is roughly the same.
yup, more dense😝
You guys gotta watch the second one
Sasha Cohen appeared on David Letterman Late Night Show in character as Borat.
It was hilarious...especially when he ambushed Paul Schaffer.
As his Ali-G character, he also 'interviewed' Donald Trump. That was funny too.
The behind the scenes stuff of them having to make a run for it or hiding in the van cuz they were genuinely about to be bashed to shit or shot by townspeople is gold.
The only two people that are acting in this is Borat and his producer. The rest of the people are real people.
Oh and Pamela Anderson at the end. She knew about the situation.
And Lunelle
This is extremely inaccurate. Most of the Kazaks are Romanian extras. The hooker he marries is an actress. The bear, while not an "actor", is a stage bear.
Omg wait till you see the 2nd movie of Borat. You may recognise certain politicians etc in it. Its so excruciatingly funny. I look forward to seeing you react to it soon.
I was watching that movie and every time i say this can't get crazier than that ,and it does get crazier 😂
The guy he was chasing with in NY while trying to shake hands is actually his friend. But the other folks were real regular people.
there used to be a show called gentle ben with a real bear, and a kid.. often left on things like a boat with just those 2.. classic TV safety
9pm on a Sunday night, perfect 👌🏼 😂
No one is ever ready for Borat, but you will laugh a lot and be grossed out and start using his catchphrases. Great success!!
"the most insane movie"--well, there's Borat II, which gets to a whole new level of insanity.
great success!
23:08 make-a romance explosion on her chest 😂
Is this what you call a cat in the hat? 😂
Most of the people were not actors. Lunell was, but that’s about it. Pamela was in on it too. The frat boys, and many many others sued SBC for misrepresenting themselves as foreign movie makers.
Awesome reaction of my favorite movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The funny thing is that he doesn't look like a Kazakh, they are actually Asians 😅
Reactions are sooooo good.......starting at 21:14 made me laugh so hard. "Is it done yet...No it's not done"...Hahahahahaha
Check out his "Diktator" that is wild as well. So funny how they put this movie together.
Borat was mostly done by unsuspecting crowd, there are some scenes that are "scripted" but majorty is honest to god reactions
Some of the “actors” were told. Most were not. Baron literally was near to being killed in the other movie, “Bruno”
you guys have to watch the movie BRUNO. Sacha do another funny movie there.
I actually think Bruno is even funnier. 😂
The producer looks like the offspring of Bob Hoskins and Danny DeVito.
For comedy movies, in my top 3. Loved the reaction.
Very nice!
1:57 Fun fact: those little streaks are the bottom are meant to be hairs, little stripped-off bits of film that would often get caught in projectors in the old days.
The only reason my millennial/Gen Z @$$ knows this is because I once watched some old cartoon about an opera-singing dog, and it made a joke about this. Basically, at one point, it looks like there’s a hair in the projector, which would have looked real to audiences of the time, but then the dog briefly pauses singing to pluck it out.
People around the world are watching murder, war, genocide, anime that depicts despicable acts toward women and every form of human violence, in 1998 my kid brought home a game where he could murder and rob hookers on the side of the road yet Borat disturbs people so much because i'ts like something horrific has come into our real life, it doesnt fit into our PC expectations of real life yet its nothing compared to what we're conditioned to accept in entertainment.
It is so brilliantly funny itself and to watch sensative people react to, I love it.
Seeing youre reaction of this movie, I bet you love the Bruno ( 2009 ) 🤪👍
the village is actually from romania and kazakhstan is a pretty modern country
This from Wikipedia: "Except for Borat, Azamat, Luenell, and Pamela Anderson, none of the characters are portrayed by actors. Most scenes in the film were unscripted. In most cases, the film's participants were given no warning on what they would be taking part in except for being asked to sign release forms agreeing not to take legal action against the film's producers." Nonetheless, the producers and others related to the film _were_ sued by the poor village in Romania, two of the "frat boys," and the driving teacher, among others. Shockingly, as far as I can tell, all cases were dismissed.
The hotel worker who tells him about his wife's death is the same person who marries him in Bruno movie. He is an actor but unfortunately I don't know his name.
If you ever find yourself questioning if real people would actually say some of these racist, misogynist, and just bat-sh!t crazy things on camera, even having signed wavers giving permission to use that footage in the "documentary" film, just watch some of the interviews with the attendees at some of the political rallies and events IRL.
Or just watch Biden's speeches.
@@pistonburner6448 Biden literally said he didn't want his kids growing up in a "racial jungle" on the senate floor lmao but OP votes for him.
You should watch Bruno next. Same sort of movie where most of the cast are not actors.
Then you have also got The Dictator, Ali G in da house & Borat 2. All featuring Sacha Baron Cohen.
25:47 It looks like Kenneth Davitian (Azamat) didn't know what Sacha was going to do :D
I wish Nick had looked up the facts about how much of this was very real while they were still on camera after the movie. Would have loved to see their reaction to that! 😯
Very nice.
20:28 "Oh my God, I hope this is not real." It actually _was_ real, although the production crew did go back and pay for the damaged merchandise after filming.
Apparently, although the scenes with the car salesman were real, he didn't sell them the old ice cream truck as is implied by the editing.
This "movie", and Jackass 1 and 2, are probably the most outrageous stuff I've ever seen. xD And absolutely hilarious, of course. o.O
If you think this was crazy, watch Bruno 😂😂
😂😂😂😂 exactly
5:31 Oh, I've only ever heard this song from the Only fools and horses episode Jolly boys outing. Which reminds me. You might not get a lot of the 80's British references but after you've done Friends, you should definitely check it out. British comedy shows just are superior and Only fools is the most loved of them all. But if you want something quite as rude as this?
The Inbetweeners.
Having her watch this is the best bf thing to do your eyes will never not see this
You should watch Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Ver nice ^^
The events you have just seen are real. None of the names have been changed because no one was innocent.😆
23:27 "I hope this is all actors." Nope, none -- but it _was_ a setup. 10 guys from the frat house were interviewed, of which 3 were chosen and paid to pick up Borat in the RV (though they weren't told he wasn't a real person).
Unless it's a mom protecting their cub or a bear has lost its fear of humans because they were fed black bears are big cowards small dogs scare them off
Sacha Baron Cohen is British and was married to Isla Fisher for 20 odd years. Recently separated this year I think I read somewhere. Our British humour is unique to us and sometimes find Americans confused or bemused, but as cringy as some of it is, it is absolutely hilarious too and groundbreaking for its time back in the late 90’s. Ali G show is brilliant.
He is Jew
@@HugoKnockoutAnd?
Almost: they were married only 14 years ago -- although it _has_ been about 23 years since they met and 20 since they got engaged.
Everyone sued him except Pam Anderson and the old Jewish couple they were in on the joke
You need to watch Borat!
React to these Action & Comedies or Both: Starring Chris Evans Cellular, The Ringer, Date Night, Big Stan, Netflix Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, Netflix Jo Koy: Don't Make Him Angry
Every time I see Azamat drop his ass on Borat's face during the naked fight I can't help but wish I were a voting member of the Academy awards.
i think they told everyone that they were filming a documentary, so no one paid attention to the cameras.
Bruno is even crazier 🤣
Hi Nick & Wen!😊 The majority of the film is real people. Of course, Pamela Anderson and the prostitute are set up. There were several lawsuits, including one of the college guys in the RV after this came out. You should definitely check out the sequel: "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" (2020).😉 Great reactions to this unusual comedy film, Nick & Wen!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏
Legal is an actress been in several movies
Please do any of Talladega Nights, Bruno or Ali G (unsure about the exact spelling/spacing) In da House now; and notice just how much range he truly has playing characters. Personally I'd vote Talladega nights first though as it's got a lot of other good comedians in it too.

the majority of it was real btw, sasha got into a lot of trouble and lawsuits. Pamela was in on it tho but non of her security or camera crews were
