It is Kyle Crane's fatal flaw. He's willing to sacrifice everything to save his friends, and values that over everything else. It costs him and humanity in the end.

That ending sequence there is almost some PTSD Sh--- worthy........
Yeah so this ending tells me that, Crane is patient zero when it comes to how the world got infected. Because he escaped outside all those walls that were built to keep the virus contained, the world of Dying Light 2 came to be. I also think that if Crane is in the 2nd game, he may be just like the mother, killer at night but normal-is during the day, but he may be kept in some sort of facility or maybe he is back in Harran, tending to the Graves of his friends. Maybe even just a mission during the story where you hear about someone doing something very interesting and you go and find the guy
I agree. I don’t think crane is dead because he’ll probably turn out to be like the mother who is a volatile that still can think in a somewhat human like manner. Spike is in Dl2 but it’s also interesting to see what happens to the main character (aiden) because he is also infected just like crane was.

@@bruhmoment2052 nah he's definitely the night hunter from the multiplayer the scream at the end even tho it says volatile scream it's actually the scream from when your playing the night hunter when you press X to reveal the survivors location he does the same scream from the ending
@@bruhmoment2052 also there was a leaked prologue trailer released by IGN Japan or something like that were you can see aiden escaping from a tunnel in Harran I think the country side and you can see him jump through the broken road and make it to the other side were he encounters spike waiting for him and spike tells him “i haven’t seen you since you was a little kid” this probably means Aiden has a connection to dl1

This game has one of the saddest endings I can recall 😨. Damn! After everything he went through. Kinda makes you think, all the other volatiles were once survivors just like you. He isn't a Volatile. He has become the Night Hunter. And dying light 2's story continues what kyle crane gave to the rest of europe. An opportunity to spread further.

When it first came out it was actually hella prayzed for the story and the attachment to characters, but now there's so many good multiple chose story games out there the games story feels dry now
So, I have a little theory that I talked about with some friends a long time ago when we played this game together. We used to play this a lot.
For anyone else out there who played Be The Zombie mode in this game, if you recognize the scream that Crane did at the end of the video when he turned, I speculated with my friends that Crane is that zombie in that mode. I stated that while he is the zombie, he has knowledge that is retained from being a human, which is why he has the powers that he does as the zombie to counter the items and equipment that the other survivors have (i.e. the UV light, and detection). He has the ability to detect humans as well, just as Crane was able to for items and Volatiles with the survivor sense, albeit, just a game mechanic, but thought I'd mention that.
It was just something that we talked about as friends and didn't really dive too deep in to the lore and stuff about it, if there's any, again, just stuff we talked about.

@Luxaholic Editz possible change that he will as a final boss if not in a dlc expansion cause there is no way they just leave him in the past without a boss fight what I think will happen is that in Dl2 there will be a night mission where we have to fight crane

I liked the other ending better, a kind of closure to Kyle Crane's life rather than last hearing him scream as a volatile wreaking havoc till the end of time makes me sad
Sadly, the volatile ending is the cannon one, and that's why the virus was spread beyond Harran, because of Crane. He caused the only thing he was trying to stop from happening.

Been watching a bunch of DL2 videos and some content creators said the devs put information about Crane in. You will have to search hard to find it.

Agree man but i'm just a bit afraid since almost most of the new games which came out were really a letdown i think Dying Light 2 will be a really good game from all we saw so far let's see if it can beat Dyling Light 1/The Following tho
I went and bought this game on release and played it for a about 2 hours before a mission glitched and I couldn’t ever make it any further into the game and I could never find a gun, so I never touched it again and returned it for a full refund, and got far cry instead, too bad, looks okay, didn’t watch his whole series, just this episode to see what happens before I buy part 2

I was in shock cause I played be the zombie mode a lot before seeing the ending and I knew that night hunter scream immediately and it blew my mind.

@@DevanHorror_ it's really cool but it can he really hard for both sides, if the zombie player is really high leveled then the human players can get destroyed. And if the human is max leveled with ridiculous loot it can be unfair for the zombie especially cause there can be up to 4 humans and they can gank you.
Definitely my all time favourite Singleplayer/Co-op game, very excited to play Dying Light 2 as well as watching your playthrough of it. Thanks for inspiring so many of us and putting a smile on our face!

Hollow Ik you finished the following but if you wanna have a good time one more time on the following you need to go to the temple of the sun and take the longest zip line. It goes across the lake done the mountain
This finale of the game is one of the mysterical in the whole game industry, I suppose. We can't say Crane is dead, cos he was under the glithes in the end of the game. On the other hand, he really turned into a Volatile that explains "Be the Zombie" mode.
As the matter of fact, "Be the zombie" is translated as "I am the zombie" in Russian version of the game.

Oh yeah Hollow there's a secret ending you can get that involves the nuke there's a truck that you can find in the following dlc that has a trailer attached to it & the trailer has a launching device in it & the device requires a keycard to activate although i do not remember where to find the truck or the card

In case you didnt undestand the people and the cars working normally in this ending... Crane somehow actually escaped the quarintine and infected the rest of the world. Which leads up to the events of dying light 2. The world would be fine if Crane stayed inside the quarintine. Dying light 2 actually proves that the ending where he turns is canon.
I’m excited to see what the lore says in DL2 the devs have told content creators that their is info on Crane in DL2. You will just have to search hard to find it is what they said.

MAN Rough ending. It's like an old zombie flick series but bigger. Stunned
He became the first of the species named Sentien Volatile (yes the mother was one of them) but the Crane is one who is actually like mother said (at the day he is normal human being but at the night he is Sentien Volatile) The game *Dying Light* is one of the Legedary games with the most perfect and really heavy storyline. Now im playing *Dying Light 2* and can say im f enjoying the game so much i want to get all the endings and yeah (they said that one dlc will come out with Kyle Crane in it) cant wait for that to popout :D
If there is a couple playthroughs i could recommend that i would love to see is Limbo and the game Inside both excellent side scroller puzzle games. In line with little nightmares! Would be awesome to see.

Always felt like crane would've chosen the sacrifice choice. Due to him being intelligent and knowing theres no real way out of the mess.
Either way the virus spreads and we are all F’d lol look forward to finding more lore in DL2 though.
"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain". Basically what Kyle Crane has become the very thing he's fighting against in the entire game.

I know its 2yrs later but apparently in some off shoot to dying light 2 where we finished with Aiden Caldwell, we come back to ...Crane 🥳🎉who by some miracle IS still alive ✊, yes he did turn 🤷🏻♀️ and sadly we can't change that..but as it happens like mother, he does actually keep control of his humanity .. physically from what i saw of the initial conept...he now looks a mess...😬 but hell, hes still our Crane the original hero and hes been running around the country trying to find an actual cure...but he finally comes back to Harran if i remember...so be interesting to see where this takes the story on whole.

You can get Dying Light platinum for about £7 which includes The Following, that and the base game are pretty long if you do all the missions and get all the blueprints and weapons, well worth it if you haven't got it. 👍

Iv been t e lighthouse in myrtle Beach if anyone knows what it looks like. It was really cool. I walked up to see above the trees. The bord walk. The metal walk way all around it was very skinny for some reason. It was a smaller lighthouse but still. Really cool.
For those of you who haven't been to a light house. Atleast for this light house (because I understand all are not exactly the same)
it had this horror story is vibe to the inside. With the feeling of being behind a couple feet of concrete is just a unique experience in its own.

I think Hollow made the right choice. Since defying The Mother is the one with the boss fight and given that Dying Light 2 shows the virus has spread, I think it’s the canon choice.
