real horror is about building atmosphere. Lazy horror is jump scaring. It's easy to provoke an audio response in someone with loud noises but its another thing entirely to make them fear the anticipation of something happening.
Real horror is both together. The monsters in this game just stand there the whole time. Something needed to chase him or grab him. This game is good atmosphere but followed by no payoff, just a standing simulator.

The best thing about this game is that every youtuber that has played it is afraid of the big guy, but the real evil entity is the doll. That is why the switch was ripped off the room where you find him in, because he hates the light. That's why when you turn on the light there for the first time, he's angry and scares you. He later even chains the door, so you can't get his eye and starts crying when you get the bolt cutters.
The big guy is actually helping you the whole game. He gives you your album, he gives you the lighter, leaves keys around, writes clues on the walls, leaves notes lying around, he even waits for you in the elevator so that you know that is the way, etc. People just assume because he is big and scary, that he's the bad guy 😆 It's actually a good little social experiment.
I mean, he's a cannibal and all that, but he doesn't mean you harm at least.
Tbh after reading this I was way less scared while watching the gameplay, cus honestly the big guy is The scariest thing in the game, for me at least

I’ve learned that from dreams. Some creepy entity ended up helping me or giving me advice or not doing anything wrong besides being creepy. I sometimes end up attacking out of fear because I think I can predict their intentions because media taught us that ugly or odd=bad.

Let me tell you that I lived in real life something similar to this game. I started working as a security guard 3 months ago and I just lasted there 2 months. The job was starting at midnight and finishing at miday the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday. It was in a 18 floors building up and 2 floors underground. I had to go, floor by floor entering into each room, the toilets, the kitchens, opening the lights and closing them behind me (some of them didn't even work). And I had to do it 3 times per night plus 2 smaller walks.
This job was so scary that 12 people worked there before me and none of them lasted more than 1 month. I was all alone during 12 hours, I had no weapon to defend myself, walking through every floor of the 20 floors, opening and closing lights several times a night, hearing sounds the building made and the cold winter wind made. Thanks God I got out of this job.
Please don't be angry but I'm just asking this out of curiosity. Did you, by any chance, observe something unnatural or encounter something supernatural during your job?

Oh, wow, you weren't joking! This is actually the scariest game I've watched anyone play in a long time. Very atmospheric and creepy. Did anyone else notice that the missing guy from 2:07 was actually the guy that was dead in the bathroom at 25:18? I didn't realize until the end and I had to go back and check. Nice little detail there. I really enjoy watching you play these games.

Fun Fact: Everybody's favorite big guy, also makes an appearance in the creators other horror game "Trapped". It is balls to the wall scary as hell also. Pretty awesome this Indie creator is developing a shared Universe. I think more creators should try doing that. Maybe see decisions you make in one horror game, get displayed in another horror game.
Wow, the atmosphere in this game is so creepy and tense. Just the lights being off in a room makes you terrified to move forward in the game. You're braver than I am playing this.

I haven't watched your channel before, but I really enjoyed watching someone who had roughly the same, "Tense, pause, and regroup" approach to the terror that I do instead of the screaming and over the top constant yapping that I see from some other streamers. So much more enjoyable to watch someone just stop playing for a moment and close his eyes for a moment to settle the nerves as it represents a more reasonable reaction that I can identify with.
It was all just a big trap , entering that door made him go into the shadow world ( the upside down) . The monster broke the lights and gave him the lighter so that he lights candles . Lighting the candle he performed a ritual which sent him to different dimension , he unknowingly got himself trapped in shadow world because at end when he got out of the building it was a different world . The dead will now have fun with him before he becomes one of them .
