The best guest commentator - Clearly and by far. Ian great as usual at creating those informative and entertaining aspects to watching of the sport. No esoteric, futile chitchat between commentators, but instead the communication directed towards viewers within the context of the video, the players and the sport. Really appreciate the time and effort put into these videos. Especially for ones as enjoyable as this.
Thanks for updating your cameras CCDG! Watching these 'vintage' videos really makes you understand that disc golf coverage NEEDS HD cameras for these discs that go far.
simon lizotte is easily the most entertaining person to watch. he approaches the game like he is still learning it and also that he can literally do ANYTHING. or at least try anything.
Foot fault @ 9:56 -- Ulibarri seems to do that here and there, but how's anyone supposed to call him on it when they don't have video? I had to try pausing a few times to get just the right frame that shows him in contact with the ground and the disc before he lets go.
I have a question about the rules of teeing off, can you tee off next to the tee pad on any hole? Or just when the teeing off on the pad could be a potential hazard like slipping? On another note, I really disagree with step putting, I feel like it's a little cheap as you can get away with possibly stepping closer without much people noticing, or at least its so close that you can't really tell and people just let it go. Not saying he is intentionally trying to get an advantage, but some people would try to take advantage of it.
I've seen this on a lot of courses. Usually you see it when, like Peter said, there is a safety concern. These tees are not level with the ground, which makes a run-up difficult. I've done that in rounds with my friends, too. But I force myself to go to the side of the tee that would benefit my throw the least, so I don't get an unfair advantage.
Here's my theory. In 09-10 all of the touring pros were so jealous of Nikko's putting that they all made voodoo dolls of him and pooled their money to pay someone to play some voodoo shit on him. That's the only way that he's missing putts like he is now. I've seen him called on a foot fault (when there was no fault) in that time period from 35 ft in the woods between two trees by Barry Schultz. You know what happened? No one backed him up and he banged that putt twice and said "what foot fault? How ITF is he missing 15 footers?
What mrDROCK said. He and Ricky have a similar putting style. They both putt nose down. But it's almost like Nikko is trying to hit the cage. Either way, his attitude seems in check this round. Surprising, considering I don't think he made a birdie putt the whole video.
Ironic you would mention Nikko being called for a foot fault, when he calls more foot faults than all other top tier professionals combined. Every time it is against someone he is chasing down, and usually you can see him eye hawking his competitor's foot before the shot as if he is just waiting to call it. The guy is a narcissistic prick.
You know Nikko called a foot fault on Gurthe for being about 5 inches to the right of his disc? Hes a stain on our game. Only wants to make money with his flylife discs he sells for $40 a disc and polos for $50. All he wants to do is make money off of this sport.

I know its 7 years later. But why did the scoring graphics change 🤔 from the previous round(s)? No total score. You're awesome Ian.
Different editor :)
@@CentralCoastDiscGolf Dang! Johnny on the spot with the reply! Cheers!

Wow Nikko.
Congrats you won a free DyeMax disc from Dynamic Discs. PM me your email, and I'll send it to DD.
Awesome as always!!!!
I can see my car on hole 7! Yay!
Nikko had a day like I have every time I play. Poor guy.
Big thanks to Jeremy Gehler for editing the footage!
The 60 fps version is not working in Chrome by the way. Super choppy.

The TD had to specify before each card teed off that players were allowed to throw on the grass beside the tees on certain holes. It's not normal.
Only at the TD's discretion, and only for safety concerns.

I do a mean Ian Anderson impression. You should contact me for a guest commentary gig.

I would say putting nose down killed his birdie opportunities.
