Terrific episode. I loved the Ten Rings easter egg in this episode. Name-dropping Dr. Erik Selvig was great. Kamran's mom has no chill. Bon Jovi fan since 1987. Kamala vs. The Clandestine was fantastic. I also loved the dancing in the episode.

Her mom didnt need to open the box because Bruno isnt a random guy. She trusts Bruno with Kamala the same way her dad trusts him with the gadgets and stuff he helps with. He has known her for a long time, so theres no reason for her mom to not trust him and open the box. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Marvelous episode. Kamala's and Kareem's interaction was significant. Kamala and Red Dagger vs. The Clandestine was an incredible scene in this episode. The chase scene in this episode was terrific. Kamala has excellent chemistry with Kareem. I loved mentioning Donkey Kong, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Terminator. The Ant-Man artwork at the Karachi train station was marvelous. Waleed was a badass, and he went like a g. Also loved the Terminator reference in this episode. The Red Daggers Batcave looked awesome. "When Red Dagger refers to Kamala Khan as an American, she retorts that she could be Canadian. This is a reference to Khan's actress Iman Vellani being Canadian. I love the cinematography in every episode of Ms. Marvel.

Love that y'all are enjoying the show. I'm happy you didn't play it down and say it's a teen show like other reactors.

I didn’t notice it the first time I watched it, but in the 1942 flashback the Clandestines were standing on top of the Ten Rings logo. I was made aware when I saw the Normies’ reaction to episode 3. Suraj and Damarin pointed it out.
There’s no confirmation as to why the bangle was in Ten Rings territory, but my guess as of now is that Shang-Chi’s father Wenwu collected powerful artifacts he thought would be useful in the long run. He was all about conquering until he would meet his wife 54 years later.
@8:54 That quote is directly from the comics. I believe it was issue #5 of the 2014-2015 comic run. It was even told to Kamala by her father Yusuf in the recent Avengers game.
@12:51 One of my favorite scenes in episode 3 and the entire show overall is Yusuf’s heart-to-heart with Aamir. The importance of family is one of the biggest themes this show in particular focuses on. Even as Kamala aims to become a superhero, she still prioritizes her parents and brother.
@15:44 First, Steve and Peggy. Now, Kamala and Bruno. Can they ever get their dance?
During the wedding afterparty, the camera zooms in on one particular partygoer clapping to the music. It’s Sana Amanat, one of the original co-creators of Kamala Khan and also one of the executive producers for this show.
Due to Pakistan’s political climate, they weren’t able to film in actual Karachi. So they improvised by filming in Bangkok, Thailand as a stand-in.
@29:59 What’s funny is that Iman is actually Canadian.
Waleed is going down as one of my favorite mentors in the MCU. As the series progresses, we’re slowly putting together her costume.

I think Kang (from this universe, aka He Who Remains) created relics to help him try and win, and the Ten Rings (giving immunity) & both of the Bangles (allowing time travel)

That blue arm that had the bangle reminds me of 2 things.
    1) Kang the Conqueror. The one from our universe could’ve created both bangles & the Ten Rings to help win and isolate the timeline and turn himself into He Who Remains in Loki.
    2) A Kree warrior. The Kree are heavily tied to Captain Marvel, and Kamala is her biggest fan

The way I understand it, is : The Cladestines, being Djinn ,and in this dimension have had their powers greatly reduced. But, when their genes mix with humans, the offspring and decedents like Kamala and Kamran (maybe even Kamala's bro) have a greater potential to have the Djinn power to use "Noor". The gene needs to just be triggered in them by something, like the bangles and maybe stress and/or puberty.

  • @rivervixens06
    @rivervixens06 Před rokem +4

In Islamic beliefs djinn/genies are real creatures capable of causing physical & mental harm to human beings. Like humans they are accountable for their deeds, can be either believers or unbelievers, depending on whether they accept God’s guidance.
Although generally invisible, djinn are supposed to be composed of thin and subtle bodies they can change at will.
One Hadith divides them into 3 groups :
    1. Djinn who fly through the air
    2. Djinn who are snakes/dogs/lizard/scorpion
    3. Djinn who forms like human
They may even engage in sexual affairs with humans and produce offspring. If they are injured by someone, they usually seek revenge or possess the assailant’s body, refusing to leave it until forced to do so by exorcism.
So basically they’re invisible to humans, but they live among us, and only animals could see them sometimes.
And in this series they make being djinn/ half djinn looks cool which is understandable and it’s fun but if this happened irl it’ll be so creepy hahahahah hence the childhood nightmare reference
