@@enigmatic247 they are still on par if not beneath the standard of wrestling games I was playing as a kid on ps2. What a disappointment. Back then I dreamt of what they could do with a wrestling game. The game play is okay like it was, can't make a mofo bleed nicely and really hammer him but the rest is garbo the career is worse then it ever was before. This game has the potential to be a titan with the competitiveness in the ring and decision making with accountability in the back with all the drama wrestling brings this game in the right hands would stomp the yard with the industry.
I’ve been playing WWE 2K22 (PS4) for the past couple of days and here are some of my impressions: *Rey Mysterio Showcase - A legendary superstar and career featuring some great matches! I agree the transitions between footage and gameplay is brilliantly done! Easily one of my favorite parts. I found some of the objectives a bit difficult to pull off (I have to check the menu to see how to pull off some of the moves which does indeed break the momentum). I felt some of the matches went a bit too long and some of them were tough in my opinion! Definitely a one and done mode for me though. *MyFaction - I played a little bit and while I like the card collecting aspect I found myself not really invested in this mode. I feel it’s overwhelming with the proving ground, towers, the variety of currency, and it just feels like work instead of play. Also underwhelming in the fact that I don’t think I can earn VC for anything I do while in the mode and maybe it’s just me but I don’t feel like I’m accomplishing anything overall. I want to say it’s pointless but I haven’t spent enough time in the mode to say that for sure. *MyGM - I like this mode and have been wanting it to return for a long time now as many of us have. It’s not perfect as missing match types and championships really hurt it. I do love the interface and menus - very neat! I wish I had a bit more control like more options and allowing sliders (how much money to start off with, turn wrestler stamina on/off, etc) I found the difficulty a bit harsh even on easy mode though I think I just need more practice. I found that by doing essential things like picking a great variety of superstars during the draft is important to establishing a rhythm, then superstar rivalries heat up, picking exciting match types that some of your superstars thrive in, listening to fan comments, and utilizing each superstar properly then everything become less daunting. I wish the fan comments were in larger print (or maybe my eyesight is going bad) I’ve noticed that in other parts of the game as well but maybe it’s just me. *MyRise - I just started this mode and so far I’m liking the fact there is the possibility for branching storylines and face/heel choices which is what I wanted in career mode. Could use some improvements. Nice create a character, intro, and moveset options. I can see myself playing through this mode multiple times. (Update: no I cannot actually! Just finished the mode and the the social media aspect is kinda cool but a mess as well as triggers to unlock certain matches are vague. Does have some good moments but overall it feels like a bit of a slog and kinda repetitive. *Universe Mode - I haven’t tried it yet because I want to unlock everything and finish MyRise first. Update: Going through Universe Mode (Superstar) able to pick and focus on one superstar (I chose The Undertaker) and matches not involving your superstar are automatically simulated until you get to your next match/this applies to PPV matches as well. *Issues/Problems A couple of collision detection (swing and a miss) issues and a few minor bugs here and there + one crash so far Money in the Bank matches are an absolute NIGHTMARE! Seriously I hate them! Ladders fall at the slightest touch and it feels unbalanced as recovery times are short making it almost impossible to get the briefcase (I’ve won the match twice and each time it took me 20-30 minutes to complete each time!) it’s chaotic and not fun. Overall I’m enjoying my time with WWE 2K22! graphically it’s the best looking entry in the series and the gameplay is a lot more fun (though I can do without the combos and blocking) and I am missing a couple of favorite superstars: “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig “Ravishing” Rick Rude Kurt Angle Bray Wyatt Lita Paige The Bella Twins Kairi Sane I feel this is a must play for fellow WWE fans and I look forward to the next one!
@@bluetiger8716 so three questions 1. ive seen a bunch of people on PC talking about major problems with a lot of bugs and crashes, is that mainly a problem on PC or does it also affect console versions? 2. is the game on xbox one? 3. never got 2K20, so is it worth the $60 (or potentially more) to upgrade from 2K19?
@@Starrlytts 1. I can’t speak for the PC version because I haven’t played nor do I know anyone who has. I’ve encountered minor glitches on the PS4 version and experienced one crash so far. Other than that it has run very well so far. 2. Yes WWE 2K22 is on XBOX One as well 3. I skipped WWE 2K20 but did play WWE 2K19 and I’d say that WWE 2K22 feels more arcade-style instead of simulation like WWE 2K19 (the gameplay feels a lot faster, there are combos, and you can block and dodge too!) I hope that answers your questions and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask! 😊 I think with all the content WWE 2K22 comes with I think it’s well worth the $60.00. I feel it has something for everyone to enjoy so if you love the WWE and wrestling games (and I do and have been playing them since the NES days) this is a really good wrestling game, worth the money, and worth the time. 2K did a really good job!
It’s been a long time since I’ve watched Wrestling and played a Wrestling game in general. I believe it’s been since 2010. Here Comes the Pain and the Smackdown Vs Raw series are my absolute favorites of the franchise. Just loved everything about the Attitude and Ruthless Agression Era. But this looks promising, I’ll check it out.
It is coming from someone who watched wrestling in 2010 and the last good game to me was wwe 07 but stayed away from Gm mode just the gameplay enough is good enough
I’m the same as you. … trust me it’s very good. There are things that we the Ogaden of the game wish for them since 2010 and finally are in the game like when you play tag team and triple threat wrestler who got his ass beat will roll outside and be out just like in wwe and it will help you to create amazing moments and much more convenient realistic winning
@@MPHswayze creating crazy looking wrestlers and fighting back stage lol. I've actually had fun playing MyRise so far myself but yea it's a fun game to play with your kid.
i think most of the people interested in wwe games now are fans of the older years or at least the early 2000's so i think they should add a lot more superstars and arenas from that era. For example: 2006 summerslam arena or a golddust appearance would be amazing touches. Also bring back road to WrestleMania from Smackdown vs Raw games and be creative, fun, and silly with it
@@Haris1 they don't need to add him entirely, just do what old games did and put their stuff in the game for players to build in caw/entrances. Call it superstar entrance 12 etc
I grabbed this on a bit of a whim, looked through a bunch of user reviews on metacritic etc. And I gotta say, I’m having a ton of fun with it. Spent about 5 hours just making my character. Wish you could do custom pyro like in older iterations. It looks great, plays pretty solid. Reversals could use work.. but it’s a ton of fun. It’s great to play when Godrick continues to smack you around in Elden Ring.
I´m done looking at reviews. People nowadays just love to hate on stuff. I´m having a ton of fun with the game, only thing that bothers me is the micro transactions but if it means more money for development.. oh well I guess some sacrifices have to be made.
@@buzzbuzzard3809 same. I looked at a few publications, but was more interested in what fans had to say. There’s still some issues… I played a hell in a cell and the ai just got me in a loop of getting tossed around outside the ring. Couldn’t do reversal, like I was stun locked. So there’s that… takes wwaayy too long to swing a chair. The microtransactions… ugh. Yeah. But still this game is a blast to play.
@@cody9058 Yeah.. also never managed to pick an AI up from the ground without getting reversed. That´s the one move they ALWAYS reverse, pressing circle when they´re down. Some weird glitching out as well, had a finisher cancel one time because a ladder was in the middle and that let to me losing. But other than that I´m happy.
Only complaints are no cross play, no new match types and no Spotify integration for custom themes. Gameplay and visuals are amazing. Showcase should have had Kurt angle in it for Rey’s first big title win
I wish they would go back to the formula they had with games like Here Comes The Pain. Also, something I wish they would add for the new games would be having career ending injuries a possibility for your character, and expand on an RPG concept. That's just something that I would like to see.
This is a really fun game. Haven't had this much fun in a wresting game since a long time. I love that they not only have brought GM mode back but also kept universe mode as well for the people who prefer it. If they could maybe add the midcard titles to GM mode, then it would make the mode even better.
As a sports gamer, I am one of those dying breeds that only care for singleplayer MY GM / manager type of game. Yes, I do hate microtransactions, but I dont touch those modes, so whatever. This game actually looks great, I dont play cause I am not into WWE, but that myGM mode sounds great. People crap on sports games, but 2K actually try on these modes. NBA 2K has amazing my league and my GM modes, amazing, its the gameplay that lacks.Yes, they have that casino mode, and Ultimate team mode, but their other modes are decent too, its not like dont try at all anymore. I also play EA's FIFA, and compared to 2k, EAs manager modes are complete GARBAGE. EA doesnt care, I play cause its only alternative, but it does lack massively in crucial areas. I know everyone craps on us sports gamers for buying these games, but know this, I dont buy those games full price, I do not buy yearly, and I dont play Ultimate garbage. People like me still exist, I am a nerd, I like sports cause it has stats and shit, not all of us are a blight on gaming, at least I dont consider myself one. This one sounds cool if you are a wrestling fan, that myGM mode is something I would be all over for sure.
Got to say i was not expecting anything from this game played it with a buddy of mine and well it does have soem really good stuff in it is it back at the 2007-2012 raw vs sd games hell no but it can be fun an dwould be worth like 30$ for me
I wish showcase would also have dream matches and alike, just to give something new every once in a while. And as much as I like it, there should be a Hall of Fame mode, just so we could get access to more different superstars of the past. WWE 2k seems to be going on a good direction now, and I think they should just have fun with it, give more space for creativity and dynamism in the matches (which previous titles had it all way too tightly connected, so it seemed limited). So combo grabs, interactive or chain throws, and more speed and weight would be all great. But, WWE 2k22 seems like a very good game to me
Its trash. Major buyers remorse here. Almost everything is better in wrestling games from 10+ years ago. Quite a few of the wrestlers look like "meh" caw creations. Inaccurate faces, bad attire detail or lack thereof, missing or inaccurate details from entrances and titantrons, etc. Grappling and countering is trash. And so much more. I expected better from a 2022 game.
If they had moments like they do for mlb the show with showcase that would be awesome you could go to wrestlemania 3 and slam Andrea the giant at the Silverdome

Really like how they brought back the color indicators to injured body parts I absolutely loved that about the old-school svr games lol I would try to get my opponent all red before I won the match, good times
Yeah, the MyFaction stuff is all offline and single player mode. You can get every thing without spending a dime. Not talking about DLC from the season pass, but every game has one of those.
Yes, this video has slightly misleading information. For them to say they review these games for years and not to know about how the unlockables work unfortunately hurts credibility. People will listen to this and pass because of the microtransactions when they are truly a small portion of the game. The devs don't even push it in your face like madden.
The Microtransactions are pointless, MyFaction is an offline game mode. MyRise is probably the best game mode, trying to be similar to the career modes in the old smackdown games has really helped that out. MyGm mode can be fun, but it lacks depth, not the gm mode people wanted but a solid start for future installments. Showcase is as great as it usually is, it feels a bit shorter than I was hoping, but it's still great. Universe barely changed, not much to say about it. The roster is weird, having some former wwe superstars and missing some current ones. Community creations is great, as always. Gameplay is a step above the previous games and actually fun. This game is great for wrestling fans and a ton of fun.
I kinda like that MyGM isn’t as in depth as I was hoping. It’s a great game mode to just kinda relax and play. At first I was kinda bummed, but gave it a chance and fell in love with it!
I love this game, they sure have come a long way, been enjoying the smooth new controls and realistic looking characters like Andre the giant. They did great work here

This game is fun the only really frustration is how fast AI gets back on it's feet even after you do a finisher. Which is not a huge issue in a one on one match, but become a slog in matches with multiple Wrestlers. This makes the money in the bank match almost un playable.
@@xgormo9805 It's not about the damage. It is how fast the AI gets back up no matter how much damage you do to them. Do a Money In the Bank Match, and you will see how annoying the AI is. They pop up and knock the ladder down faster then you can keep them down even when they are at minimal health.
I've been playing this game all week,I love it. I was watching "SmackTalks and Macho T videos leading up to the release. My "PS5 Deluxe Edition came in "Tuesday and it's so incredibly fun. I've had no problems at all. Nice video "Gameranx ✌
My only issue with the game is opponents get up way too fast after taking Damage. I prefer the realistic feel an aspect of the games. I want to be able to do what I’ve seen on Tv. If you like arcade games play battle grounds but don’t mess us the series by adding stuff that will turn the core audience off to the game.
The MyFaction portion is all offline, the microtransactions aren't necessary to progress through it. You can do and get every thing for free. It's a single player offline mode.
I really wish they'd release a GM mode seperately, I just like the idea of booking a show, but me personally i'm waiting for the AEW game, if they're focusing on being more like No Mercy, thats what I want.
The last wrestling game I played was the N64 WWF War Zone. It killed me on playing any more wrestling games out there. The hit boxes sucked, I'd get confused on attack controls which just left me button mashing HOPING I'd do some damage, and placement in general. The final nail in the coffin was the audience. Every other audience person was doing the same gesture, clap, cheer, jump, etc...at the same time! So, its at the point now that whenever they would advertise a "NEW" WWE 2K 02, 03 and so on, the first thing id see is the audience and how many are doing the same gestures and stuff I could see clumped together in the same frame.
@ImJeffren Yea...I mean the graphics are nice, and maybe the controls got easier? Hell, maybe the customization got wider selections as well? I just haven't played any newer wrestling games. Did things get easier?
@@Tattooed_Veteran I wouldnt say it got easier, im assuming a 98 game had maybe 2-3 attack moves that you could do? Or 2 buttons to press? Newer games have plenty of stuff to do, you can do hell in a cell, backstage fighting, royal rumbles all that good stuff
You seriously stopped playing wrestling games based on by far the worst one on the N64? Dude?! If you have the means to do so you have to play AKI’s absolutely awesome N64 games. WCW vs NWO World Tour, Wrestlmania 2000, WCW/NWO Revenge and especially WWF No Mercy. All insanely good and in a lot of ways they have yet to be topped, although I recently picked up 2K22 and I’m cautiously optimistic so far. Best wrestling game I’ve played in years
Aww man that sucks. No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 were really good on N64, and the Smackdown/Smackdown vs Raw series had some ups and downs. But War Zone was pretty bad
"Technically wise there is some bumps here and there" is a really nice way of saying the breaker system is an invisible quick time event you have to do whenever your opponent grapples/combos you...
The only gripe about this game is the lack of CAW customizations. The reason I loved 2k19 so much is that it gave me so much room for creativity. I got even disappointed about the create an entrance because it was too dumbed down.
Yeah they need to fix the entrances, you mainly just copy another superstar and have to turn off their videos. The old games let you choose the pyro, the actions to the ring, in the ring, all that
@@justphenomenal3247 yeah same . I think in a few months when they start adding dlc and some more bug glitches here and there it’s could be up there with the THQ games.
what killed the series for me was when they started restricting game modes based on the gender of the character. All superstars should have access to the same matches and rule sets.
I remember when SvR 2010 community creations you could zoom in and see the creation a bit better, also when performing a finisher it would do a slow motion black and white effect before the impact. Nevertheless 2K have knocked it outta the park with 2K22.
I've played 2k15, 17 and 20. When I gave that break between 17 and 20 I was so ready and hyped. That was squashed real fast. Getting into 22 tonight after it downloads
Nailed it Jake, N64 wrestling games was where it peaked. Id be there in a heart beat if they brought back the gameplay from the older games but mixed it with todays visuals!
I’m not regretting my purchase, it’s a lot of fun. Gives me nostalgia feels, been a couple little glitches far from game breaking. But sometimes the AI gets stuck in the ropes. Will end up falling to the floor….only if the floor was an invisible one at the same height as the ring
FYI you can unlock all the legends for free Jake, it's separate to the MyFaction stuff, it only takes a game or two to unlock them. As for the mictotransactions, no one in the wrestling gamer community cares much for MyFaction, but MyGM is a step in the right direction! Thanks for the review!
@@darrenmills987 And that's what's neat, it's there for the people who want it. And honestly from what I've seen, the people who are grinding faction are realllyyy loving it
I remember playing No Mercy religiously. This game plays so much differently than that. It’s more arcade like than wrestling. At the same time I did play Smackdown a lot, and this is like a more modern version of it.
I thought 2k19 was a masterpiece! Between the simulation, feel to where you can reenact any of your fav matches. The roster! The roster was amazing. The community creations were amazing. The graphics and movements were spot on. They still are good. I honestly can play 22 as a completely different game and still love it and then go back to 19 for the roster. I'm pleased
SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain is the one of the greatest of all time. SVR 2007 created a lot of core memories for me. 2K20 legit made me quit within 10 minutes of playing. It was horrendous - the controls, the easiness, the glitches - it was the worst. I'm really happy to hear that 2K22 is a step-up from 2K20.
I admit, I was very negative about the game before release but it might actually be the best since 2K took over. At least for singles matches. I simmed a few multi and tag matches and most of them are still incredibly glitchy but I rarely noticed that while playing, which really speaks for the gameplay. Still hope they manage to clean up that stuff. It also looks gorgeous. Way better than 2K's pre released footage suggested, at least on the PS5. Only issue I had where some fps drops in some situations. EDIT: Guys, while I don't endorse the micro transactions, this has nothing to do with the unlockables (except the unlock all most everything thingy). Different currency. The MT currency can only be used in Myfaction.
I was about to purchase but way to many mix reviews on YT, Steam, and Metacritc. I really do not like micro transactions and having to pay more for NWO turned me off. I also wish the PC would get their own version meaning less capping on the FPS.
The game play is real fun this year. Content wise a mixed bag. Stuff not in 2ks control. Superstars released still in the game and newer wrestlers missing. GM mode could've been better if they just remade the old games' mode but they decided to do it their way overcomplicating at the same time as limiting it. Obviously some glaring omissions on reys best matches due to missing stars. If it didn't play well then consider this the last 2k wwe game. With rumors of EA taking the license. One only hope 2k has another shot to really craft a current Gen wwe game. Even less loading would be great.
If EA takes over it will probably turn the series into a bare bones live service mess that performs badly and we the fan base will be blamed 4 it's failure by EA
wish they also had all the wrestlers and arenas from 1995, 99 and 2002 but unlock them with in-game money not real money. + JR and King on commentary ofc with these commentary dialog mechanics would be a dream wwf game
I don’t know why they have such a hard time making these games like the predecessors of the smackdown vs raw series, those were amazing. Great career modes, gameplay was fun. Probably because wrestling in general right now sucks too, so it reflects on the game aswell
There game engine was yukes, yukes made the game for them but yukes left in 2020 to join AEW which is why wwe 2k20 was a disaster because they didnt know what to do
Grapple is NOT more simplified. Where the fuck is this sentiment coming from? Grappling in the previous games was ONE button that you either tapped or held for a light or heavy grapple attack. The controls for 2k22 are more convoluted than they have ever been in there series. Sincerely, Someone who's played these games religiously since 2k15
Thank you! 19 was near perfect controls. I hate fight game arcade controls like 22. I miss true sim and do not enjoy the controls one bit this year. I don't understand everybody's hatred of the old controls.
@@mammothchimp1774 I like how y’all act like y’all didn’t play 2K20 lol even if you didn’t like it you was missing out on move-sets and that’s big for me! I don’t like the combination system in 22 but I will buy for New moves!
i just wish they would do a career mode that was REAL and not requiring you to believe these are actual fights with a real winner. Cut the kayfabe. Give me the winner before hand, give me storyline meetings, give me an audience rating so I have to work with my opponent to give a 5 star match, and give me mid match injuries that change the outcome, example: top rope finish but the guy has hurt his legs and cant do it so we need to switch it and either face repercussion or be applauded for adapting but keeping the people entertained. Don't compete with ACTUAL fighting games, its silly and I think we are all past that.
It looks like they nailed the Thunderdome. So glad 2K used actual video clips instead of putting the in-game audience member faces on the screens. I'm also a fan of the filter they use for older matches. In past games they relied too much on film grain and other cheap effects. 2K22 makes it actually look like an old Nitro episode. I can go on about the graphics. But, I'm most glad to hear that the gameplay is faster and fluid. Wish GM mode was better. But, there's still next year. ...If WWE doesn't go with EA🤞
This game is so much fun, I highly recommend it. I'm not into modern day wrestling, I just play with the legends. Worth every penny and the community develops really good wrestling. The gameplay is really good. The only thing I wish this had was story mode
@@kevinford6372 I don’t think so. I think you just create your own player & go through the story. Not sure why they haven’t added it yet.
I miss the smackdown games and the older PS4 and PS3 game wrestling games were fun I hated the new controls. I miss press O+(a direction) to pick out of the 4 grabs and then you had 4 moves in each directional push after that simple and fun is the way to go they tried to make it too technical like the old ufc games and submissions
I might get this game because of the GM mode thanks for the review that definitely made me interested. I've been really into wrestling lately mainly AEW and GCW not doing the career sounds lame. Definitely waiting for a price drop . Still stuck on Elden Ring this can wait but it does look pretty legit Minus the Micro transactions that's so whack I don't want to pay more than $60. Now an AEW game I'm getting it day 1 because Kenny Omega like video games so that help with comfortability with the producers of the games since it's with Yukes.
I've already put a decent amount of time into the game and if you are just getting it just for GM mode I would wait till it goes down in price. As I feel like the mode is just a little to limited and repetitive right now not anything like svr 06 07 or 08. But if you are also really interested in the gameplay go for it.
Here’s a take : I think 2k22’s style mixed with 2k19’s graphics and weight would give us a perfect game , there are a lot of elements in 2k22 I liked that made the match feel like an actual match meanwhile there are things that made it feel cheap and weird , like the match overall is so fast , whenever you attack someone , doesn’t matter how long the match is , they still move as fast as they do a the beginning of the match It doesn’t seem realistic , that’s what I loved about 2k19 , hits , kicks , moves actually felt heavy and devastating and it would effect the way the character moves , if they’re were tired the moves would be slower but it would feel more real. , in 2k22 whenever I hit someone it just seems like a light hit and they get back up as fast as ever , but have to say that in 2k22 the matches feel like they’re real matches , you reverse almost every move and make it feel like you’re actually controlling the match
The video starts with Robert Speedwagon, and ends with Sonic vs Mario. Perfect.

Thq era WWE games were the best.
there has yet to be an era of wrestling games that were that good unfortunately
@@enigmatic247 they are still on par if not beneath the standard of wrestling games I was playing as a kid on ps2.
What a disappointment.
Back then I dreamt of what they could do with a wrestling game.
The game play is okay like it was, can't make a mofo bleed nicely and really hammer him but the rest is garbo the career is worse then it ever was before.
This game has the potential to be a titan with the competitiveness in the ring and decision making with accountability in the back with all the drama wrestling brings this game in the right hands would stomp the yard with the industry.
I’ve been playing WWE 2K22 (PS4) for the past couple of days and here are some of my impressions:
*Rey Mysterio Showcase -
A legendary superstar and career featuring some great matches!
*MyFaction -
I played a little bit and while I like the card collecting aspect I found myself not really invested in this mode.
*MyGM -
I like this mode and have been wanting it to return for a long time now as many of us have.
It’s not perfect as missing match types and championships really hurt it.
I do love the interface and menus - very neat!
I wish I had a bit more control like more options and allowing sliders (how much money to start off with, turn wrestler stamina on/off, etc)
I found the difficulty a bit harsh even on easy mode though I think I just need more practice.
I found that by doing essential things like
picking a great variety of superstars during the draft is important to establishing a rhythm, then superstar rivalries heat up, picking exciting match types that some of your superstars thrive in, listening to fan comments, and utilizing each superstar properly then everything become less daunting.
I wish the fan comments were in larger print
(or maybe my eyesight is going bad)
I’ve noticed that in other parts of the game as well but maybe it’s just me.
*MyRise -
I just started this mode and so far I’m liking the fact there is the possibility for branching storylines and face/heel choices which is what I wanted in career mode.
Could use some improvements.
Nice create a character, intro, and moveset options.
I can see myself playing through this mode multiple times.
(Update: no I cannot actually!
Just finished the mode and the
the social media aspect is kinda cool but a mess as well as triggers to unlock certain matches are vague.
Does have some good moments but overall it feels like a bit of a slog and kinda repetitive.
*Universe Mode -
I haven’t tried it yet because I want to unlock everything and finish MyRise first.
Update:
Going through Universe Mode (Superstar)
able to pick and focus on one superstar
(I chose The Undertaker) and matches not involving your superstar are automatically simulated until you get to your next match/this applies to PPV matches as well.
*Issues/Problems
A couple of collision detection (swing and a miss) issues and a few minor bugs here and there + one crash so far
Money in the Bank matches are an absolute NIGHTMARE!
Seriously I hate them!
Ladders fall at the slightest touch and it feels unbalanced as recovery times are short making it almost impossible to get the briefcase (I’ve won the match twice and each time it took me 20-30 minutes to complete each time!) it’s chaotic and not fun.
Overall I’m enjoying my time with WWE 2K22!
graphically it’s the best looking entry in the series and the gameplay is a lot more fun
(though I can do without the combos and blocking) and I am missing a couple of favorite superstars:
“Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig
“Ravishing” Rick Rude
Kurt Angle
Bray Wyatt
Lita
Paige
The Bella Twins
Kairi Sane
I feel this is a must play for fellow WWE fans and I look forward to the next one!
I want to play it as well, should I wait for the discount or just give a try from now on?

Other than that it has run very well so far.
2. Yes WWE 2K22 is on XBOX One as well
3. I skipped WWE 2K20 but did play WWE 2K19 and I’d say that WWE 2K22 feels more arcade-style instead of simulation like WWE 2K19
(the gameplay feels a lot faster, there are combos, and you can block and dodge too!)
I hope that answers your questions and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask! 😊
I think with all the content WWE 2K22 comes with I think it’s well worth the $60.00.

For example: 2006 summerslam arena or a golddust appearance would be amazing touches. Also bring back road to WrestleMania from Smackdown vs Raw games and be creative, fun, and silly with it

New gameplay system is a common complaint.
I wish they would go back to the formula they had with games like Here Comes The Pain. Also, something I wish they would add for the new games would be having career ending injuries a possibility for your character, and expand on an RPG concept. That's just something that I would like to see.
Imagine a Hctp HD remake, new graphics, new rosters but keep the old controls and grappling system
HCTP and SVR05-08 were the best wwe games and have never been topped.
This is a really fun game. Haven't had this much fun in a wresting game since a long time. I love that they not only have brought GM mode back but also kept universe mode as well for the people who prefer it. If they could maybe add the midcard titles to GM mode, then it would make the mode even better.
How is watching an npc fight your useless character fun?
THERES GM MODE????? Brb where’s my money at

2K22 is a fun arcade-style wrestling/fighting game. 2K19 is a wrestling simulation game. There is definitely an audience for both.

Still hope they manage to clean up that stuff.
It also looks gorgeous. Way better than 2K's pre released footage suggested, at least on the PS5. Only issue I had where some fps drops in some situations.
EDIT:
Guys, while I don't endorse the micro transactions, this has nothing to do with the unlockables (except the unlock all most everything thingy). Different currency. The MT currency can only be used in Myfaction.
Microtransactions will be in every game cause of these lazy ass streamers buying every Microtransactions in the games they play. It's fucking pathetic
Seeing hawk and animal as some of the top most downloaded brought a tear to my eye. Let us never forget them and may they rest in peace.
Hope they gave my dad a doomsday device up in heaven for me.
I was about to purchase but way to many mix reviews on YT, Steam, and Metacritc. I really do not like micro transactions and having to pay more for NWO turned me off. I also wish the PC would get their own version meaning less capping on the FPS.
Micro transaction mode 😂😭 ain't that the truth man lol
The game play is real fun this year. Content wise a mixed bag. Stuff not in 2ks control. Superstars released still in the game and newer wrestlers missing.
GM mode could've been better if they just remade the old games' mode but they decided to do it their way overcomplicating at the same time as limiting it.
Obviously some glaring omissions on reys best matches due to missing stars.
If it didn't play well then consider this the last 2k wwe game.
With rumors of EA taking the license. One only hope 2k has another shot to really craft a current Gen wwe game.
Even less loading would be great.
If EA takes over it’ll probably somehow get worse than it already is
If EA takes over it will probably turn the series into a bare bones live service mess that performs badly and we the fan base will be blamed 4 it's failure by EA
wish they also had all the wrestlers and arenas from 1995, 99 and 2002 but unlock them with in-game money not real money.
+ JR and King on commentary ofc with these commentary dialog mechanics would be a dream wwf game
1:52 damn that DDT on the ladder lol
I don’t know why they have such a hard time making these games like the predecessors of the smackdown vs raw series, those were amazing. Great career modes, gameplay was fun. Probably because wrestling in general right now sucks too, so it reflects on the game aswell
There game engine was yukes, yukes made the game for them but yukes left in 2020 to join AEW which is why wwe 2k20 was a disaster because they didnt know what to do
💰
They need to go back to the basics and learn from the past and combined all of it together and create a true wrestling game
WWE 2K19 and this were great, this is an insta buy. :D
For me SmackPain from the PS2 era will always be the best wrestling game.
1:53 "... and that was the end of Samoa Joe." 😆 🤣 😂
Was literally waiting for this 😂😂
Same here
@@Nathan_Coley I was waiting for this before I buy it since I start my new job soon

Grapple is NOT more simplified. Where the fuck is this sentiment coming from? Grappling in the previous games was ONE button that you either tapped or held for a light or heavy grapple attack.
The controls for 2k22 are more convoluted than they have ever been in there series.
Sincerely,
Someone who's played these games religiously since 2k15
Acknowledged the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
I think missing jumps and falling on your face is a wwe 2k staple, it makes it more fun/ funny
Yh it’s so funny
Watching xqc play this was so funny and was actually suprised by how smooth and seamless the fighting is that I had to check out a review
In the words of the rock “Finally” the review is here!
I love WWE Games going ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE ps2, I will admit this is the best of the 2k series. Its a must Buy for any wrestling fan
i just wish they would do a career mode that was REAL and not requiring you to believe these are actual fights with a real winner.
I'm happy that it's a big step up from 2K20 but still on the fence
It will be free to play wrestle mania weekend
A wet turd is better than 2k20. @k19 is the measuring stick. And honestly Ive been playing 2k22 all week and I still think 19 over is better.
@@centraltimegamers2977 as someone who took a wet turd several minutes ago, can confirm this is a fact
Bro. This is a good game. The best wrestling game on the market. Simple
I mean, it's the only wrestling game on the market right now

I love the fact that action in wrestling games is more real than actual wrestling.
The only thing I wish this had was story mode
my rise is the story mode
@@bryang2070 haven't played that mode yet. So can you pick any wrestler and create a story mode through choices
@@kevinford6372 I don’t think so. I think you just create your own player & go through the story. I have been waiting years for NBA 2K to add this feature where you can start out as Michael Jordan in North Carolina & progress through his career from the beginning. Not sure why they haven’t added it yet.
@@kevinford6372 yes
That's literally what sells the games, 2k14 sold big because the the Legends and the nWo pack got them more sells
That was such a good control scheme for the smackdown games. If you could play a fighting game, you could pick up and play those games.
Until they return to arcade controls, I don't think I'll buy another WWE game honestly
Aw man I really do miss the old THQ games.
But if you are also really interested in the gameplay go for it.
ayy can't wait for 09 to show up on switch. It'll be a massive upgrade from 05.
I only clicked on the video for that thumbnail. Absolutely gorgeous
