Great video, I have liked Légère reeds for years. My only issue is that when one starts to act up during a rehearsal or concert there isn't much that can be adjusted on the spot.
Interesting video, I have just bought my 1st Légère reed and I'm impressed with the way it plays. Perhaps 4 years have seen some improvements. How do you finger the high E and F these are hit-and-miss for me. Thanks
Really helpful! I've been away from my dear bassoon for about three years now, and a main reason for that is because I simply can't stand all that cane reeds require. I'd be so down to make music in a community band and get back to that beautiful instrument, and I've been wondering if perhaps a synthetic reed is an answer for my amateur situation. I was also certainly wondering about the price tag, but your assurance is comforting. Overall you've given a great explanation and demonstration for my needs, and I'm really considering investigating one myself now. Even though part of your playing had the Monday effect (haha), your sound was beautiful! Thanks for all your help, and best wishes!
