Merry Christmas everybody 💝 best wishes for the new year.
I must say Dave rocks!! Appreciate the honesty and info. Thanks and looking forward to 23..
Can't wait for 2023 bigger and better for the channel :)
Thx David - great list. Love your channel and all the best for ‘23!
Thanks! 😎
You’re the best David! 🙌🏼Happy Hollidays and all the best for you in 2023!!!🎉🎉🎉
Great ideas and especially the wheels review and for the truck. Great way to travel. Thanks for all the content. I have watched so many of your videos as reference. 😊
Awesome, thank you!
Happy Christmas, David! I think that finding your channel was my best cycling-related discovery of 2022. Looking forward to loads more great content in 2023!
Welcome aboard Nicholas :)
Love the Dynaplug Racer. Thankfully haven't had to use it, but it's so easy to carry and great peace of mind. Great pick. Simple, cheap, helpful to have.
Congrats David on the channel growth. Well deserved. Love the reviews... always thoughtful and thorough and entertaining. Best of Luck for continued growth for '23
Much appreciated Peter!
I use both the Silca Mattone and the Dynaplug Racer and can't agree more with these two choices. Both are fantastic.
Happy holidays David… lots of great reviews and info for ‘22… looking forward to another year of great stuff from you… btw, I love my Specialized Romin EVO saddle… didn’t love the price tho… it’s made my longest rides more comfortable with no issues w/wear on my shorts/tights… 🙌🏽
Thanks really appreciate your support, it means a lot :)
Love the videos Dave, keep up the good work, all the best for 2023 from New Zealand
Great Xmas jumper from David. Bikestow has class products
Great stuff. Wish you did it sooner as I would have added to my Christmas list!
I really enjoy your channel! Have a great holiday season!🎉
Thank you! You too!
My favorite product has been the Fizik Vento Argo R3 adaptive 3D printed saddle. It literally saved my ass! 💯🏆
Well I already have 3 of these thanks to your previous videos: Vittoria Corsa NEXT tires (32c tubeless), Silca Saddle Bag, and Dynaplug Racer tubeless repair kit. :)
Glad you like them!
I always like listening to David...
Pogie lites keep my hands warm Dave in the deepest winter. The best! Have a great Christmas mate, and thanks for your informed videos Dave.
Thanks, you too!
The game changer of the 12 speed is not the missing intermediate 16 speed ring. It is adding a bigger ring for the 1st gear. While previously I was first destroying my legs on the climbs trying to keep a decent cadence. Then I was destroying my knees grinding the low cadence. And finally I was destroying my cleats pushing the bike. Now I can (relatively) calmly cycle the whole climb and have left over power to continue with the rest of my ride.
I use the Silca pack and have been impressed. No problems with the boa and holds what I need.
I’ve had a 4-bike BikeStow in my Nissan NV 200 for several years. Worth every penny, not a single parameter short.
Superb 'Best of 2022' collection. Even if I had some minor objections, it's a solid list, comprising everything a cyclist might need and dream.
Thank you so much for such informative and through videos David. I believe now you have to press 'pause' for some days to enjoy, or you will join Rapha Festive 500??!!
Whatever your chose, I wish you Merry Christmas, and a healthy, happy and adventurous new year!
Great reviews. I agree with the Shokx headphones. I have every pair of premium headphones, Apples, Beats, Bose, etc. For riding, skiing and everyday, Shokx are my favorite.
For me it would be the romin mirror, Silca Sealant and 1040 solar.
One adds comfort unparalleled by any saddle, the next reliability beyond any other tyre inflation system, and the last one the ability to do ride for extended time beyond what my old Garmin could (used to have to carry a power bank during audex rides)
Silca Sealant hands down the best sealant on the market
Another Good video, David. I've already bought one of the products you talked about (and have previously bought a couple more, based upon your recommendations). By the way, I thought that Bikestow van rack was a Dutch pro cyclist ;-)
😄
love the Corsa next tyres, might be even better than the Corsa G2.0's that I've been using. I run both types with inner tubes
I liked the Corsa’s (cotton sidewall)… I thought the grip/handling was better than the Conti’s 5k’s… but Geezus did I get flats with them… when the sidewall started separating from the rubber, I jumped back to the Conti’s… but I do have a pair for backup… 😎🍻
I have the winspace hyper 33r"s killer climbing wheels. Excellent on my TCR rim brake bike
You will reach 100k subs in new year for sure. Happy Christmas.
Thanks Charles I do hope so!
1:48 How do you keep the handlebar tape that white?
Using gloves mine looks dirty even after 2 rides.
Great channel, David. Well done. Please remain independent and keep on making us all informed. Very refreshing.
That's the plan!
@@davidarthur … and it’s going quite well!! Thanks to your great info, I am looking at the Dcan 2.5, whilst also looking at the Grizl and the new Addict gravel bike. I want a one and done knowing that bike packing will not be the lesser and single track will be relatively modest with no hucks or rock gardens. That said, nothing was more fun than a sportif that featured gravel secteurs, whilst riding a CAAD 10 with 25mm Gatorskins. Thoughts? To replace the road Orbea Orca, I’m thinking Addict RC or Oreo Venturi Evo.
Just hoping the S-Works Torch shoes will be great when the snow melts in April. I just bought them from sale after the winter and snow already had arrived. In other news, probably gonna try the NEXT tyres after my Contis are finished (will take a while!)
Whenever sram pairs the classified hub with their 12 speed xplr cassette, it will have a gear range as good as the 3x9 I had 20 years ago.
I love the VW!!! 100!!
Thanks!
Wow thanks :)
Probebly the best Year review i’ve seen. Hopefully you’re wrong Aboutaleb mechanical groupsets. 🤞🏻
Best product? Kinekt parallelogram suspension stem on my Triathlon bike. TT and Triathlon bikes need front suspension because you can't bend elbows to absorb the shocks in the aero position. Parallelogram vs single point pivot eliminates forward dip.
I've wondered about this, in a 24hr TT it could make quite a difference to hand and shoulder fatigue. In a shorter TT it'll reduce the bumps you have to get out of position for.
Have you tried cadex 42 Wheelsets? What is your view?
I wish SRAM would revive DualDrive hubs as an alternative to Classified Hubs. I'm still riding a 1x8x3 one-by DualDrive II with 3 internal gears an a regular 8spd derailleur. It's magic.
Sounds like a Brompton set up for a none folder.
@@hectorkidds9840 DualDrive was invented by Sachs long before SRAM bought them and closed down, even long before Brompton used the concept . Technically Sturmey Archer still manufactures a 3speed internal hub with a freewheel for up to 9/10 speed cassettes but it's not as good as the DualDrive was in terms of ratio and quality. The only benefit is that it uses Shimano front derailleur pull ratio so plenty of shifters are available, even STI.
Thanks Horst, I've been riding and reading about bikes for over 30 years, nice to learn something new. I've always liked the idea of hub gears, but my experience of them doesn't extend past sturmy archer, and they've always felt very inefficient.
Hello Davy, great video, what is the best model of Shokz headphones for riding?
Thanks Alfie. I have to admit I've only tried the top-end OpenRun Pro, but the cheapest OpenMove should offer all the benefits with few compromises
Your christmas pullover is absolutely disgusting. Exactly how it is supposed to be!! 😍 Good work!
Can you do a review of your indoor trainer, I live in Toronto too, as you know winter is here today.
My short 2022 list:
HJC Ibex 2.0
Garmin EPIX 2
Muc-Off Ludicrous AF
Cheers!
PS: Does anyone thinks that GP 5000 S TR have a holding pressure\air problem?
Any review on the new fizik vento argo adaptive saddle?
here you go czcams.com/video/rHddEaUGVeA/video.html
Little spider by the Shimano logo at 1:20 🕷
Great Sweater by the way!!! I sent you $4.99 so that should cover the cost! 😂
You look better in that sweater than Bond ever did in a dinner jacket
😀
single speed and rim brake!
I was hoping they would have rebranded 11 speed ultegra di2 as the 105 to make it much more affordable. 12 speed isn’t something I’m interested in. 11 speed is more than enough. I’ll be sticking with my 11 speed ultegra rim brake mechanical
Cranking out the videos at a high rate.
Trying my best Donald :)
Was Shimano inspired by Spinal Tap? Buying a 12 v 11 speed groupset is analogous to buying an amplifier where you can turn it up to 11 v 10. 🤣
I think that outro is for a different video ;)
Oops missed that in the edit thanks for pointing it out Ben (and thanks for watching right to the end as well :))
Weird that you rate the Wahoo-pedals so highly, from all the reviews and forumposts about them I've heared that they are not reliable at all, on Cyclingtips Ronan Mc Laughlin has a 100% failure rate with them!
“On my C68”, Ultegra,on your C68… 🤔
!??!!? What a infos
wrong outro
Oops! Thanks for alerting me to it have made an edit
All of this are overpriced crap.
Having japanese garbage on a Colnago will get you trashed where I live.
